It was amazing to watch it grows. Back in January, I was here to gather information for my February UYE. Then Covid-19 restaurant lockdown started in March. The mall already started renovation project. It was kind of perfect timing while construction going on with businesses closed. The only inconvenience was to those customers going in and out of few restaurants during months of March to May. After restaurants allowed to reopen in late May, construction on the buildings was near completion. In June, store signs were installed. I was here to audit restaurants to share updates on Facebook of which ones open and if pickup, delivery and/or dine-in. Going to one business at a time, every month during the summer. Time consuming but fun to meet newbies to Diho Square. My final audit was in October. I was waiting to see if they are replacing the famous clock tower. I only learned about this imaginary structure from its social media in November. News media already been here with film crews. Yeah. I have to see it in action. Overall, Diho Square has brought many brand name restaurant chains to compete with Bellaire Food Street for another fun place to dine, shop and dessert.

In clothes there is H&M, Macys, Dillards, Forever 21 and so much more. There are even computer repair shops, Sunglass hut etc etc etc . Everything you need to live a decent life including apartments are found abundantly in and around this center. I am aware Macys has an EV charging center, but not sure where the others are. Today- 13th Aug, on account of Indian Independence Day coming up soon, at the Town Center there was a cultural fest organized by the locals. There was specifically Indian food, classical dance , chess competitions, art competitions and various vendors including a saree tying booth. A pretty cool evening and a nice gathering to commemorate in our small way the 76th year of Indian Independence. Happy to be here.

It is kind of hard to locate if you're not familiar with Chinatown. But if I tell you to meet me at House of Bowls 金大碗, Matcha Cafe or Lu Xiang Village 鲁香村, you know exactly to find it. Yes. These restaurants made popular among Houston's foodie population. Fortune Court is a little strip mall. But it had really big parking lot to accommodate customers visiting the restaurants on a normal weekend. Besides the above mentioned restaurants, there are a mattress shop called Bedding Home 美嘉床垫. Driving into the lot is a bit tricky, thought. It has 2 entrances. If you're driving southbound toward Bellaire Blvd, you can easily using those 2 entrances. If you're driving on the opposite way, you can enter from the entrance next to Wells Fargo Bank Drive-thru entrance. The medium break is only big enough for 2 entrances, but the bank already has 2. So, you need to carefully give yourself enough room to make that left turn into Fortune Court.
