While there are quite a few decent booths there are a lot of scarcely filled booths with low quality selection of goods. Many things, that are not homemade, are overpriced. I'll pay higher prices for others hard work creating their art & products. There are some nice things/booths but it just seems not to be as much quality items/booths as one would expect. As far as service, the cashier had me go and search for the booth where a pair of earrings came from in order to buy them. I had to walk around for a while trying to locate the booth. Also, a ceramic bowl I purchased was not wrapped in anything...zero packing paper. It was chipped when I got home and I took it out of the bag. I didn't drop it or anything so I can only assume when I was walking around searching for the booth with the earrings it was put in the bag roughly. read more

I had an extremely poor experience with my "blind date with a book". I paid $17 for a mystery book and received a $7 book with a goodwill sticker of $1.99 on it. I know there is a risk when purchasing these books, but this is not a reasonable outcome. The seller did not even have the decency to take off the goodwill sticker. It's so scammy and tacky and I am so disappointed. Please do not buy books from this seller. They are just trying to take advantage of people and make a quick buck. I do not care for a refund and I will not be returning. read more

Super cute boutiques all under one roof but it's very overwhelming honestly. We walked up & down each aisle and it was never ending. We did see very cute stuff from clothes, to decor, toys, candles, soaps, cbd, oils, snacks, and everything else. We bought a pair of sunglasses, gloves, a pen, eraser, popit toy, earrings.... $75 total. Stuff wasn't cheap. Shirts are about $35... sunglasses about $20. Popits $10. Snacks $16. Awesome place! This place is actually known as the Painted Tree Boutique and is a collection of very interesting booths spread throughout this huge warehouse. Arts and crafts galore! And a great place to browse for that one ubiquitous gift you're looking for for a friend or family member. Or even to treat yourself or to decorate a room or your home. It kind of reminds me of Spice Village Boutique in Waco, Texas. And you don't have to travel to a small town or high end shop to find quality handmade art and clothing! I read some of the negative reviews on here and wondered what sparked it. I personally found the staff pleasant and nice and the products offered really cool and interesting. I actually want to go back because the first round I didn't get to see everything. There is definitely a lot to see. Located off the SW freeway near Home Depot check it out for that special gift. This is a great concept! If you are looking to shop for unique holiday gifts, this is the place! It's like an indoor farmers market but without the vendors standing at each booth! Basically, you stroll around with your shopping cart and at the end there's only ONE checkout line. The space is spacious with restrooms, fitting rooms, and even sitting areas. I couldn't help but pick out some handmade soaps, Astros face masks, and cute tie dye long-sleeved shirt. I will be back! read more

Cute concept but most of the booths are kind of similar and there were only a handful that had anything I would purchase. That being said it is really unfortunate that they are "encouraging masks" and not enforcing them. And by encouraging, I mean a piece of paper on the door - employees don't say anything when you enter about encouraging masks. I would say at least half the customers weren't wearing masks. A couple of employees weren't wearing masks either. We are in a global pandemic and masks are the very least you can do when you are breathing next to a stranger. The way this business is handling it definitely means I won't be back. read more

Not welcoming at all. I walked in with a Venti Iced Caramel latte and rushed to the bathroom. A few minutes later one of the owners burst into the bathroom with the mop she fake uses to follow people and looked around like I was stealing something. I have multiple tattoos and this is the second time I have gone into browse and then come back and purchase items. The minute I started walking down the first aisle the woman with the mop reappeared and started following me. Then another employee took her place. I was extremely uncomfortable and felt like a criminal. I will never return to this place. read more

I have now been to two locations of this chain in Houston. Instead of mostly artisans or local manufacturers as vendors, there are a lot of vendors in here selling goods they hope you will think are homemade and/or unique so they can charge higher prices for them. The truth is a lot of what is sold in here is mass produced, with much of it obviously imported. Experienced merchants with long-term success in selling mass produced and/or imported goods know it is more profitable to sell more units at a lower margin so inventory turns faster. Overall, I see many challenges this, and every location, will face with keeping assortments fresh. And, unfortunately, lack of experience, greed, and/or stale assortments always kill demand. read more

While I enjoy shopping at Painted Tree, I had an unfortunate experience with one of the vendors. I purchased a large lovely wreath, from the "Donna Lynn's"both. I placed the wreath at my front porch, which is partially covered. During last week's rain storm, the painted portion of the wreath ran off the wreath and on to the brick and mortar of our house. (See attached photos). I immediately called Painted Tree to inquire about vendor assistance and refund. I was 2 days over the 48 hour return policy, but felt this is a situation that required the vendor to revisit the 48 hour policy. Once the vendor was notified of my horrible situation, because by this time I can't seem to get the paint off my mortar, spending money on products due to the paint damage, the vendor would not visit a refund. (Mind you, no where within the booth was there any mention of whether the wreath was an indoor or outdoor wreath.) The vendor did offer me another wreath of the same kind, which I refused because why would I want the unfortunate to happen again. Upon my refusal of the same sort of wreath, the vendor offered the equal value of the wreath of something else in her both. With her refusal of a refund, I did accept another item(s), that valued the amount of the unfortunate wreath, taxes, and $8 towards one paint removal product that I purchased. Whether the vendor knew or not that the paint would run as it did, I surely did not know that it would. I would have appreciated a phone call and recommendations of how and what to use versus a replacement item. I am still spending money on paint removal products trying to get the paint off my brick and mortar. read more
