Great place to watch sporting events - they have a ton of televisions and have specials that make it extremely affordable. Their wings are delicious and I usually go on Sunday for the $20 wings and beer special. The customer service is good but it is close to the UNC campus so you get a lot of students in there if you're looking for an older crowd. read more

The first time I ever had carry out in chapel hill and it was worth it! I ordered the Four Corners Burger and it was immaculate. The beef patty was tender and soft and the moment it touched my mouth I felt calm. Even in the carry out box the food was presented with class and very appealing. The gourmet onion rings with a crisp outer layering made my tastebuds eager for more and more bites. The flawless piece of bread complemented the impeccable add ons of veggies. The signature sauce that lay on the delicate patty made it all while for every bite . The chips that respectfully came with the burger were superb and defect less and in my assessment is better than any name brand chips you can find. The fresh crispy chips made it all much better and taste very good when arranged with the burger sauce. But the worst part of the experience was when the food was all finished. read more

Despite having lived in the Triangle most of my adulthood and having been a UNC student, I had not eaten at 4 corners until this year. I am so glad I finally made it! Have to agree with Adrienne E. The food is decent enough and it is a good place to watch sports, but the service isn't very good - even when the place isn't crowded. I just had lunch there (OK - so may I was trying my luck eating out on Friday the 13th). Including myself, there were only 3 patrons at the bar. The waitress asked for my drink order and brought my food - that was the extent of our interaction. If I only wanted a hamburger and a drink, I could have gone to Wendy's. She neither asked if I wanted another drink nor if my meal was satisfactory. But I bet she was expecting a tip. Customer service was terrible! A group of friends and I decided to go grab dinner at Four Corners around 8:30/9p on April 15. Myself and one friend were the first to arrive, got a table, ordered waters, but decided to wait for the rest of the party to arrive before ordering food. We sat and waited for about 15 min because they were running late before another waitress asked if we were ready. We told her that we were still waiting for our friends who would be there in the next 10 min. She then proceeded to tell us that they were closing down the kitchen in 5 min, so if we wanted to eat, we needed to order within that time frame. I called my friends to send me what they wanted, so we could place our orders. I was able to get everyone's orders within the time given and went to tell the waitress we were ready. She says "ok, I'll be with you in a second" and heads to the kitchen. She stays in the kitchen for about 3 min, comes back and says that we could no longer order because they had already closed down the kitchen. She proceeds to blame it on the manager who supposedly called and told them to close down early because of the weather. I have never gone to a restaurant and been basically kicked out because I was waiting on a group of friends to arrive before ordering. If there are customers in the restaurant, it is HIGHLY unprofessional to tell them that they cannot order after they have already been sitting there for 15-20 min. Four Corners does not close until 12AM, so why would they close down the kitchen at 9p because of the rain? I feel that the situation could have been handled very differently. She should have told us way before we only had 5 min left to order that they were closing the kitchen, OR only allowed my friend and I to order since we were already there. I am extremely disappointed about how we were treated and will NEVER go back. read more

Stopped in for a beer, but only stayed for one. The place has an interesting design with the 3 floors going on and it seems like it would be a good place to watch sports. Has an upscale feeling to it, yet when I was there it was literally lined with dorks playing trivia. Seemed an odd crowd for the environment. Menu looked good and they had some games like Golden Tee. At the time of my arrival at Four Corners (at the recommendation of my wife, growing up in the area and having spent a good portion of her college years on Franklin St.) I was welcomed by a cozy sports bar with TVs everywhere. I'm thinking "oh great! A great place to get a beer, some grub, and catch a game (it's a Wednesday so guess it's NIT tonight). The bartender, while not a bubbly greeting, walks over and gets me a beer (which BTW, as long as you don't mind choosing from Fat Tire, Sweetwater 420 or Miller Lite, you're good). They did have G'Knight which helped. From there it went downhill, fast. I placed my order (10 wings, at the recommendation of said bartender, and a side salad) at 6:10pm, at which time there were a total of 5 customers in the bar. 2 of those 5 had already eaten and had their checks, 2 others seemed to be more concerned about a liquid meal, and myself. The time food received: 6:43pm. 33 minutes for 10 wings and a side salad (during which the bartender didn't seem to give a hoot that it was taking so long)? Wow. Those must be some really great wings! Nope. They were barely dry rubbed and baked, with no sauce whatsoever (keep in mind I ordered "hot"). A couple of the wings looked like they were from chickens whose mother smoked crack during her pregnancy, or perhaps was infected with radiation during the Chernobyl nuclear power disaster. The net/net, looks like a really great place to watch a game but if eating, stick with the nachos (can you really screw up nachos?). read more

As long as you get there early enough to get a decent table, this is a good place to watch Carolina games. The food is your typical sports bar fare - the wings are pretty good. It's a narrow restaurant with three levels of seating, so when it gets crowded you end up crawling over people to get to the bar or restrom. Every time that I've been there, the service has been pretty terrible. In this case, the cramped layout of the restaurant makes it even worse if your waitress goes missing and you have to get to the bar. On the plus side, I don't think there's a single seat in the place from which you can't easily see a television. read more

Maybe I just have bad luck with bar restaurants in general, but Four Corners is just like Spanky's in that I get there, really enjoy the atmosphere, and then I'm just completely underwhelmed by the food there. I've had a number of things at Four Corners, and they were either just okay or mediocre. The best thing was probably the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, with just "meh" fries or coleslaw as sides. And a lot of the time, the service is either hit-or-miss. It's definitely not worth the risk going there frequently. The esteeming factor of the place, DJ Trivia on Wednesdays, is now gone --which is what led me and a few other guys there every week. I recently moved here and decided to come to four corners to follow the euro cup. Thisnplace has a great sports bar set up with plenty of tv's. I read that ppl didn't like the food. I have had most of the menu, while the majority of the food is good but not spectacular, the shrimp tacos (blackened) and the buffalo chicken sandwich with hot garlic sauce are both amazing! the bartenders and wait staff are extremely friendly (especially sasha, sarah, emily, and phil). They must have changed a lot since new mamagement because I have had a great experience here and thia have become my go-to place for sporting events. Highly recommended. read more

We came for lunch at 11:45 on Thursday, it was already 89 degrees outside with a heat index of over 92. Walked into the door and it felt really warm, asked the girl sitting behind the bar "after she got done texting" if the air conditioner was broken. She proceeds to tell us that the owner doesn't allow them to turn the ac on until 12:00 no matter how many people are in the restaurant. We decided to stay and have lunch, meanwhile the staff stood right behind the bar and talked about their favorite college drunk nights. As the drinks melted infront of me so did I, I walked to the bathroom and seen the thermostat was almost to 78. Needless to say me or my family won't be returning until we can eat in the cool, next time I will bring a few fans and drop cord to plug in to sit under my table. Sat right infront of 5 people sitting watching tv as my drink is completely empty along with the rest of my table. Was contemplating going to the restroom for a refill at one point. Needless to say I will not be returning anytime soon, if I do it will be winter and I will have to drive my husbands truck to pack jackets and maybe put my igloo in the back to keep warm because I'm sure the heat can't be turned on until after 12 as well. read more

Amazing food and friendly staff. As picky as I am, I never order anything the way it comes and this place has never gotten it wrong! Lively atmosphere, friendly bar and still can sit family style even with my kids. Four corners burger is so addictive and the ribs are tender, fall of the bone perfection- both must haves! Love watching the sports or playing trivia while enjoying the food. Sometimes it can take a minute to get the food, but not too long and WELL worth the wait! This picky eater is satisfied. read more

We were in Chapel Hill for a guys soccer club weekend. Six guys 17 and on way up. We had 5 meals in Chapel Hill, four were at Sports Bars. Four Corners, Carolina Brewery and The Ale House. Four Corners has the best reputation and a great atmosphere. Otherwise the place is last on the list. Terrible service and it wasn't crowded. Food was acceptable but the other two were better. From the older guys side, it was definitely the nicest of the places, but that didn't overcome the mediocre service and food. Hate to be there if it was crowded. read more

Gluten Free beware! My husband is allergic to gluten. Last Friday we chose Four Corners because of the GF options on the menu. He ordered a GF burger and GF bun. When it came, it looked identical to mine. I questioned the server and she assured me that it was safe. My husband, who has Celiac, was violently ill that evening. I called the restaurant back and the manager said that although we ordered the GF bun, it should have looked very different and he got a regular bun. I'm always underwhelmed by Four Corners. The food is below average, the service can sometimes be poor, and the drinks aren't the best. I remember coming here with my parents years ago, and apparently it was better back then. Formerly Woody's, 4 Corners keeps in line with the venue's casual tradition of beer and bar food. Because of it's particular sports bar-feel, 4 Corners makes a good place to grab a pitcher, sit around and talk, and watch a game. They have plenty of tables and don't typically get too crowded, so it makes a good space for a group looking for something casual. I came here recently when on the Franklin St. late-night hunt for a place to get food and booze. (Uhm, when the hell did Hector's close??) I was having some serious cravings for chicken fingers, and when Hector's proved bust, came here. They advertise that they serve food until 1:30, but we arrived at 1:15 and were told the kitchen was closed (there was a girl with a fresh plate of chicken fingers sitting right beside us!). I mean, I understand people wanting to go home after a long day of working, but we definitely arrived early enough for some chicken fingers to be whipped up before the 1:30 cut-off. We didn't begrudge them all our business, and stayed for a round and some erotic photohunt, but I'm not sure how readily I'll be back. read more

I've been to Four Corners a few times, but never when it was very busy. Given the layout of the place, I can imagine that's a good thing. My friends and I often show up after Linda's trivia is over to play a little beer pong. The tables are set up in the lower level which, with its own TVs and only partial view of the rest of the bar, makes a great little hideaway. Four Corners (formerly the site of Woody's) is a traditional Sports Bar. There are big-screen TVs all throughout the bar, and whenever there is a big game on, the place gets packed. They serve standard bar food, i.e. nachos, wings, and fries, that is always good when sitting down with a beer. They often have a decent crowd here, but it turns into more of a dive bar late at night. I watched the UNC Championship game (GO TARHEELS!) at Four Corners and it was absolutely a blast! There's a row of large tv's lined up across the bar perfect for watching sports anywhere in the bar. This is my first yelp review but this is the worst dining experience I've ever had. We went on game so it was packed and we expected an wait but we were there for an hour and a half and never was served. We saw our waitress 4 times over that time and 2 of them was because we got up to find her to see where our food was. After her checking in the back and getting a manager (who never came speak to us), it was determined that our food had been given to another table or had disappeared. No apologizes or anything and they still charged my card for the non service. Trying to get that refunded through the bank as no service was rendered. read more

Came in before the crowd with my children noticed that they are serving the bar first if you are going to eat here expect to wait an hour for your food. They don't take in consideration that you have young children with you only focus on the bar. On top of that when we ask to speak to the manager they stated he could not come down and talk to us because he was busy at the bar what type of establishment is this?
