UNRELIABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL I requested a weekly lawn cut and received my first cut. I went on vacation afterwards, but when I returned, the grass was high and clearly untouched for weeks. I called them and spoke to an agent who was polite and helpful. She told me there was a system error that lost all their new customer information in the beginning of the month. She apologized and said that I would receive a lawn cut the next day with no extra charges. However, they still did not come the next day. I called in again and spoke to a different agent (I believe her name was Lauren?) who was the complete opposite of the first agent I spoke to - very rude and unprofessional. She gave a lot of attitude from the start of our conversation and when I tried to explain my situation to her, she kept interrupting me. She assumed that I wanted a one time cut when I just wanted to be back on their weekly list, but she seemed to be too busy not listening to understand what I was trying to say. Finally, she told me to speak to her manager. She told me she'd put me on hold while she went to get him/her, but hung up on me instead. I called back a couple of minutes later. She continued to argue with me, even started raising her voice at me, and finally told me that they cannot provide any more service. I highly do not recommend Four D Landscaping. Like I wrote in the beginning, they seem to be unreliable and unprofessional. read more

These are not landscapers, they are grass mowers. They service the complex I live in and unless you can communicate with them in Spanish they butcher your bushes. They also throw snow on your vehicles along with parts of the lawn. read more

I used this company for 2 years. I spent thousands between fall/spring clean-ups, weekly maintenance, and landscaping projects. Initially I was happy with the service, however I ran into repeated issues with a careless crew ruining plants and property. I contacted the company several times but they kept sending the same crew and issues kept arising. I even confronted the crew myself but the main guy was rude and it didn't help. Overall it was an awkward experience, and the final straw was our fall clean-up last year where they bulldozed around breaking several items in our yard, and left our backyard furniture in random places (I found a part of our backyard table umbrella up by our mailbox). I hired a new company this year and am much happier. Would not recommend Four-D. read more

I live in Strathmore Gate and this company damaged my car when they used to blow the leaves against it. I have contacted the company twice and was told someone would get in touch with me still nothing on day three. I guess they think of they ignore me I'll go away not going to happen. This company shows no regard for anyone personal property. I will also be putting a complaint with the BBB. read more

They're just not good. Maybe I'm biased, having done my own yard for so many years, but for paying someone to do it, I expected more. After 1 year of service, I am going back to doing it myself. I decided to go forward with Four-D because they offered the best price for weekly service. They did a few other houses in my neighborhood, and the work seemed good enough on everyone else's lawn. However, I should have known what to expect starting with the spring clean-up. They did a very poor job with the spring clean-up. The leaves were moved, but branches and sticks remained scattered everywhere along the yard. The edges of the lawn were not touched up with any sort of weed whacking, so long grass/weeds stuck up far above the rest of the lawn on the edge of the property. I called to complain and they sent the crew back to do a better job, but I still had to go out myself and pick up the sticks (I filled up more than 3 leaf bags worth of sticks, so it wasn't me being overly critical). Additionally, they left a very large rut in my lawn from the tires of the stand-on mower they used. But, my biggest gripe was the nearly weekly phone calls I had to make to complain about the work they did. Almost every week, they would leave a gate open when they were done. I have a dog, so that's kind of a big deal. They would routinely drive over sprinkler heads. When I told the office that they would need to be more careful, they told me 'the sprinkler heads must not be installed correctly' (they were for certain parts of the lawn, and they stuck up over a foot above the lawn so they weren't 'hidden' or hard to see). And when the gates weren't left open, they were damaged. Although I have no proof, since I didn't see it happen myself, I am certain that they were just hitting the gate hard with the mowers to force it open, rather than taking the 2 seconds to open the gates by hand. At least 6 times this summer, I had to take the gate apart, re-align the parts, and put it back together because they were damaged. No amount of phone calls would fix this. All this is on top of the lack-luster service the provided. There were weeks when I would find large portions of my yard that were just 'missed' by the mower, and I would touch it up myself. There is 1 section of my yard that is along the street, that wasn't touched a single time all year. I would call and tell them that it needs to be mowed/whacked, or whatever, but they would never do it. So, the part of my property that is visible to everyone else would sometimes have 3ft high weeds growing. Some weeks, I found myself spending a good chunk of time just touching up what I had paid for. The whole reason I went with them this year, was because I just didn't have the time to do it myself. My yard is in much worse shape than it was last year, or even in the beginning of the season. I am looking forward to next year, when I'm responsible for it myself. Finally, there were some weeks where the weather wouldn't permit them to get to my yard. That's understandable. I'd rather skip a week, than have them mow my wet grass, and possibly cause some damage. But that didn't stop them from making sure they still did the service, so they could charge me. On more than 1 occasion, they wouldn't get to my yard until Monday or Tuesday (the normal day was Friday), but they'd still come the following Friday. My yard doesn't need to be mowed on Tuesday and Friday of that same week! For the company's part, they were always apologetic and promised to be more careful when I had them on the phone, but nothing ever improved. I just felt that the reason for getting someone else to do it was so that I wouldn't be spending 3 hours of my own time a week doing it. But, like I said, I was still out there touching something up, or fixing the damage they did on an almost weekly basis. read more

Service of actually mowing the lawn is acceptable, but don't hire these guys if you have dogs. They REFUSE to close the gate when they leave your property. Even after telling them about the situation, they leave the gate WIDE open after EVERY visit. I've never seen anything like it. It's almost like they do it on purpose. Will not being using them again next season. read more

This company deserves a 0. I live in a condominium complex They come on Tuesday's and do whatever they feel like it. This week they didn't even mow they only weed wacked and then used the blowers. That job was even done poorly. THE OWNER ERIK DIMECH SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE JOB HIS TEAMS ARE DOING. I am tired of paying his company to not do what they were hired to do. read more

I have used Four-D Landscapers for a few years. When I first hired them to do the lawn maintenance, I had also requested a quote for some installation work (shrubs and some new beds). They never showed up for the estimate, so we hired another company for that part. Over the past 2 years, they have broken a window on our daughters car and 2x they left our gates open and our 2 dogs got out. I would NOT recommend this company read more

I live in a condo association that is serviced weekly by Four-D Landscaping and they are among the worst and most inconsiderate landscapers I have ever come across. They come every week and every week after they leave my car then needs to be washed after being decimated with dust/dirt/rocks/debris from the lack of care employed while their staff is using the weed whackers and leaf blowers near/around where residents park. I am waiting to find new rock chips or paint scratches every time they come and am forced to hold my breath it won't be that day. When I approached one employee about this today they apologized and then hours later as I am getting into my vehicle to run errands there are 4 gentleman including the one I spoke to earlier all with leaf blowers who proceed to not stop and let me pass but instead blow all the dirt/dust/rocks/debris directly onto me. I am hopeful the association will eventually replace this landscaper given the repeated issues and wanton disregard for other's property. It does not take much common sense to not AIM four leaf blowers at someone walking out to their car but instead wait 5 seconds for them. Now I was covered in crap on my way out and my car is absolutely filthy not only on the outside but the inside as well! I am hopeful the owner of this company sees my review and reaches out to reimburse for me the cleaning I now have to pay for on my car after just having it cleaned on Friday morning. Absolutely unprofessional. The fact they leave grass clippings scattered throughout the walkways and can't blow those away but can blow all that crap onto our cars and into resident's faces should be a red flag to anyone considering hiring them. read more

At first the service was great but it has dropped off a bit. The most annoying thing is that the trimmer guy cuts right down to dirt leaving a 1 foot wide dirt moat around the yard and they blow all the junk or leaves into the beds. read more

This company is the worst of the worst. Using huge leaf blowers, they push leaves, dirt, sticks and other debris onto the property of adjacent homes. They do this without regard to the mess and damage they cause to neighboring lawns and flowerbeds. Unfortunately, this is a recurring practice and the only way to stop them is to call the police since asking them to stop is futile. read more

Four d is great, the crew that cuts our lawn each week is very polite and it's always the same crew and I get cut the same day each week (unless it rains). Very rare there is an issue but if there ever was we just called the office and a manager would come out and take care of it right away. read more

Absolutely wonderful to deal with. We asked them to come just a few days prior to an open house to perform a fall clean up. They came the same day for an estimate and cleaned up the morning of the open house as promised. They cleaned above and beyond what we asked them to perform. They were reasonably priced as well. We had them do a spring clean up, mulch, mow and edge prior to a party at our new home. We got so many compliments on how great the yard looked and everyone was asking who we used. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

My landscaping needs are minimal, mainly clean-ups, weeding and mulching a small yard. But Four-D has done well by me. They do what they say they are going to do and in a timely manner. I've always found them to be fair and courteous. My entire street uses Four-D. I put four stars only because, as I said, my needs are minimal so I do not know the scope of their work. read more

My husband and I were on our way home from Stony Brook Hospital, where we work, this afternoon (3/5/15) during a pretty nasty snow storm. It was very slow-going as the roads were very bad. One of the Four D plowing trucks with the plow up was tailgaiting us. Roads were slushy and very slippery. An oncoming SUV lost control and had spun into our lane, then into a snow bank and then back into their lane. My husband desperately tried to get out of the way of the SUV and give them room to regain control. Luckily my husband could slowly stop our car and the SUV was able to regain control and continue on their way. There was no way the Four D vehicle behind us could not have seen what was going on! While my husband was stopped, for no more than 20 seconds, the Four D truck behind us leaned on their horn!!!!! My easy-going husband and I (not so easy going) flipped them the bird. They turned into their place of business, honked their horn to get our attention, and flipped us the bird. I plan on telling anyone who ever asks me for a landscaper to absolutely never use Four D Landscapers. This company is as far as you can get from responsible or professional. Take my advice and steer clear of Four D Landscaping. They are idiots. read more
