After receiving an average quote I went with Great Lakes because I liked the rep and they have a…read moredecent reputation. The installation was fast and uneventful. The owner was here and actually did more than I expected when he repaired some badly rotted soffit. During the initial visit, I advised them that I was aware that two underground drains were plugged. When they completed the job, they insisted that all the underground drains are plugged, plus the connection is below ground and they are not going to dig to get to it to remove the " connection and install a 6", so all drains now run off to the ground. There was one specific run that the gutter had a reverse slope. I advised them that that was important to me because that was where most of the actual run off was occurring. When they finished the same section had a revers slope. I will give credit that they came out a few time to address this. One time the employees walked around and did nothing. Another time the employees got on ladders but when they left the gutter had the same slant. Finally after complaining they came out and bent a foot of drain to run down the spout. It's difficult to give a rating when part of a job is done well and part is not so good. I considered giving one or two starts but I want to be generous. If the job is uncomplicated they will perform well. In my case, not so well.

We had L&S give us a quote on a new roof. Gentleman showed up in basketball shorts and t shirt in the middle of winter. Didn't go on the roof for inspection, didn't go in the attic for inspection. Simply climbed 2 steps up the attic ladder breaking a step on the ladder following it up with a comment "this is why I don't go in attics!". Shined flashlight and said "yup you need a new roof!", some attic inspection that was. Gentleman was more concerned about what homeowners did for work to determine a price for quote. Don't flag my review simply because you don't agree with it, practice better business and you'll get better reviews.

He measured everything and then had us to his office to select tiles, grout, etc. using Jim's artistic abilities as a guide in making our selections. We got to witness the teamwork the group has at Seghi Renovations while several employees were in the office the day we were there. It felt like a family gathering. Brian came over, pointed out issues and explained the pros and cons of fixing, repairing or replacing. He gave me many options for colors of shingles. His office staff put up with my many calls and questions as this was the first big home improvement I had done on my home. His team was prompt, professional and very clean. Even though the temp was in the high 80's the days they were here, there was no complaining and they worked hard to make sure all of the issues under the shingles were addressed and fixed properly. AFTER the new roof and gutters were placed, Brian returned to my home, did a thorough walk on the roof to make sure the work was completed to his high standards (it was). I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND using Roof-Rite!! We had Roof-Rite replace our roof in 2018/2019. Before…read morethe replacement, I lived here about 10 years prior, I've never had any interior leaking until AFTER they replaced the roof. We've complained about it to Roof-Rite when we noticed water coming inside (2021). They did send out someone to "check", but they never found anything obvious, yet it was still leaking into the interior. I emailed Roof-Rite in 2022 about this issue the next winter, when it leaked again and explained this, but they basically told me to "go pound sand", because it was "an act of God" and they won't cover any damage. It wasn't until we had an exterminator out to capture a squirrel in our attic about 3 years ago, that the exterminator found a huge hole in the overhang/soffit crevice that butts up directly to the upper roof (house with upper & lower roofs, with multiple conjoined areas). This is where the squirrel was getting in. The exterminator did the best he could to fix it, and it was fine for a few years. Although, it's leaking again in 2026. Keep in mind, we've had extremely mild winters here in 2019 & 2020, along with 2022, 2023 & 2024, until this winter, 2025/2026. So, why was it that the exterminator, back in 2022, found a hole in that area that allowed squirrels to enter the attic space, and also allowed water intrusion? Roof-Rite would've found it, had they done their due diligence. Instead, the deflected, as if it was my fault and that I'm on my own. The common denominator here is Roof-Rite, and the lack of quality work/diagnosis, AFTER they did the work and were paid. Roof-Rite made it clear that they wouldn't do anything.
