Just got back from Bright Nights at Four Mile Historic Park and I was blown away! The amount of creativity at this event is off the charts. I've been to quite a few different light events in Denver, usually at or around the holidays, and this by far is the best one. I had never been, and it was just magical around every corner. Every sculpture was carefully thought out and executed so well. My favorite was the wheat by the barn. Amazing! This is a must see event. I can't wait to go again next year!

Gorgeous scenery and so unique! This is a delight for young and old!!! Plan on Spending at least 2 hours to see everything.

Had a wonderful first visit at Four Mile Historic Park for their Bright Lights event. Brought the family out and everyone had a wonderful time! It was a bit muddy due to rain earlier in the day, but not so much to detract from the experience. The lanterns were beautiful, the activities were fun and some were unexpected! The staff was also super friendly and because we went on. Thursday it wasn't crowded at all! The food from the BBQ tent and the churro tent were both delicious! We will definitely be back again- highly recommend.

The displays for the Bright Nights event were great. They were very creative and had everything from dragons to Colorado wildlife and flowers. Many of them are animated or blow smoke. The colors were great and there was a lot of detail on the characters. A quick walk through is a little under an hour, but if you go with kids you could be there a lot longer. It was nighttime, but we did see a couple horses and pigs in their normal living quarters.

An event for all ages! I came with two of my girlfriends, on a Thursday night. We arrived at 7:15, just before the sun was gone for the night. We were able to park in the parking lot. We were greeted warmly by staff in the parking lot and in the visitor center. We stopped by the bar lounge, and chatted over drinks (they have soda, water, beer, cocktails and wine), until it was completely dark. We began strolling and were in awe of the beauty of the light displays and delighted when we say there were interactive exhibits as well. We learned about culture, and let our inner child out on the light up swings. This is a great place for families and friends. Nestled in a neighborhood, it's like a hidden gem.

So odd that this historic old homestead still sits tucked amongst the modern development of Denver. The original plot was settled nearly 200 years ago in the 1800's, and there has been an effort to showcase the old-timey way of life. They do a lot of different activities and events at this park - some of them are for a fee, so double check if you need tickets first. A great place for younger kids as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Place is good for a quick visit. Maybe a membership plan if you live there makes sense. I don't think the current entrance fee reflects the available things to see and do. Museum tour was closed. Park was empty. All these are indicatives not to visit. With a little bit of work it canbe a worthwhile visit.

This event was an experience my family will remember. Cost: $25 per person ($100 for our family of 4) They also sell soda, beer, wine, hotdogs and burgers at the entrance and they have a gift shop photos and trinkets. All things you'd expect at a family event. We ate first but the smell of the grill made the kids hungry... typical We spent less than $50 on a couple adult drinks and food for 2. So, if you're looking for a reason to skip cooking, the food was kid approved. We arrived around 7:30 pm, it was about 30 minutes before dark, giving us plenty of time to order and use the restrooms before starting our enchanting walk through the lights. The weather was warm, perfect time of year for this event. Tip: Additional indoor restrooms through the gift shop. Time: We spent about 90 minutes walking through, the kids were engaged with each stop and we took tons of fun pictures. I think Connor and I could've gone through it in half the time. If it's just two of you, I'd plan for an hour. It was really fun to share this experience with the kids and discover a new place for family outings.

Was quite amazed by the exhibition in 2023, but the Bright Nights in 2024 certainly exceeded my expectation. Most of the animals in the exhibition were more detailed, lively and animated than prior year. The themes were well planned and rarely repeated, like strolling into chapters of a whimsical storybook, bringing back the memories of the childhood joy and imagination.

Huge Chinese dragon. This must have been 30 ft long.

Great fun at Bright Nights at Four Mile Historic Park! Truly a visual extravaganza. Beautiful colors, a nice walk, and great animatronics on some of the displays. Take a look at the photos I and other people have left. But of course you have to be there to get the full impact. Really an impressive display and I'm glad I went!

What an interesting place to visit and learn about. It's mostly school field trips and I haven't been back since I was in elementary school. There are lots to see and do and it's a large plot of land so you have lots of walking opportunities. The house is an original and everything else are rebuilds. The only way to tour inside the house is with a tour guide. My favorite part were the animals. You can pet them if they're close by. They have horses, goats, and pigs. Bring a couple of quarters with you if you want to feed the chickens.

I like going to several festivals around this time of year, and this was one of my favorites held here this year. It featured a variety of activities that I took part in, such as browsing the local vendors, dining from the many food trucks, and even visiting a coffee trailer. In addition to other activities that were included in the admission fee, such face painting and gold panning, it was priceless to have an authentic Big Jim's hot dog while listening to a mariachi band. I queued up for the axe tossing and got to meet a friendly Billy goat. When you're prepared to leave, you get the advantage of choosing a pumpkin from the many pumpkins and gourds.

Absolutely amazing! Go during the week when it's less crowded. The animatronics on several of the exhibits was an added bonus. Highly recommend and the photos don't even do it Justice.

Totally more interesting than walking around the area without information. The fun part (all of it is fun) was going inside Union Station and hearing the history that has been glossed over by historians trying to attract visitors to Denver. As the tour progresses, it gets better and better. By the time we exited Union Station, it was dark and the area was lit up with people enjoying the beautiful evening- you see pedicabs and bicycles, lit buildings and a fountain with lights in addition to the story weaver guide. It is located in the ritzy Capitol Hill part of town. This stately home is on the National Register of Historic Homes, as it is a well-preserved architectural example of American Foursquare. Locally, this type of house is called a "Denver Square," which simply means that the design has four square rooms on the first and second floors. According to Wikipedia "Mamie Eisenhower lived in this house from 1906 until 1916. The Eisenhowers were married in the first floor music room on July 1, 1916. Their son, John Eisenhower was born in Denver on August 3, 1922, while Mamie was living in the house." After Mamie Eisenhower's mother died in 1960, she sold the home to a real estate investor. Since then, the house has gone through several owners. It is still privately owned and not available for tours. But Denver city tour operators do stop along the street in front of the house and talk about it's history. The Mamie Doud House is something the city Of Denver is proud of, as the Doud family were prosperous and their daughter Mamie certainly married well. Mamie Doud is so beloved that a park in southeast Denver was named after her as well as a public library in Broomfield, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. As a Historic Home on the National Registry, the Mamie Doud House is a great example of America's late 19th and early 20th century architectural heritage. 4 YELP STARS.

Also, with the 114th anniversary of the Titanic approaching, I figured I should learn more about the disaster's one of the most prominent survivors. My tour guide (Eli) was very informative and they talked about a lot of the inticracies of the house that I wouldn't have noticed if I had wandered around the house by myself, including details about the staircase and the method of constructing it, the wallpaper, stained glass, etc. I was particularly fascinated by how Margaret Brown leveraged her high profile status as a Titanic wreck survivor to fight for various causes such as women's suffrage, who she really was behind the legend of "Molly Brown," and the history of the house after its sale (how it became a group home for girls, and their antics of painting the lions up front and throwing things at the people passing by on the sidewalk). Definitely grateful for Eli's expertise -- shows they're really passionate about passing down the local history to the community and beyond. I left with more knowledge than I expected to learn. Thank you Eli! It was also great that the house itself contained a good number of original pieces of the house from back in the 1910s, which isn't always the case with historical houses. There was also a little back room that had original pieces from the White Star Line so people could see the plates and other things that passengers on the Titanic would have used, as well as a super detailed model of the ship itself. Will definitely be recommending this tour for anyone who plans to go to Denver.

Downstairs, there are informational displays with interesting facts about the clock, and it was cool learning that this building is Denver's first skyscraper. The self-guided setup made it easy to explore at your own pace without feeling rushed. What You Can See: The Clocktower has about three floors you can explore, plus an event space that can be rented for special occasions. It was really neat getting to go inside and see the clock up close. One of the highlights was the outdoor viewing area. You can step outside and see Denver all around you nearby buildings and even the mountain tops in the distance. The views were beautiful. I am scared of heights, so I'll admit the stairs made me a little nervous going up and down. That said, everything felt very safe. Outside, there are high railings all the way around, which helped a lot and made the experience feel secure. Time Commitment: This is a quick activity, but still enjoyable. I took my time looking at everything and it took me about 15-20 minutestotal. Pricing Tickets were $12 total (tax included), which felt very reasonable for a unique downtown experience and a chance to see the city from a different perspective. Parking: I went on a Sunday, so I didn't have to pay for street parking. I highly recommend going on a Sunday if possible. That said, downtown can be busy, so it did take a bit to find a spot. Arriving early definitely helps. Overall Experience: Ireally enjoyed the Clocktower Tour. While it's more of a one-time experience, it's perfect for a cold day, a short outing downtown, or if you're just looking for something different to do without committing a lot of time. It was fun, affordable, and a neat way to experience a piece of Denver's history.

PRO TIP: try avoiding the most back row if you have long legs or any stress with mobility. Because once you sit there, the seat is assigned and you will have to deal with being cramped in a tighter space. And you basically are always the last one to get off. This was one of the biggest cons. Moving on, the tour itself was great. We stopped by a cafe on the way to and back, for food and bathroom breaks, and pretty soon, the van took us to the Rocky Mountain with beautiful views and even saw many wildlife - the big horn sheep, elk, deer (i think), and, not to forget, smaller animals like birds, mouse, and chipmunks, but no moose spotted. Nonetheless, the breathtaking view of the Rockies is certainly worth the journey. The guide was very knowledgeable about trees and shared many stories about the places and tips for visiting Denver in general! She also took us to a few Native American owed stores that featured indigenous art that were very cool to see. One thing to note is that I think the Colorado Sightseer, the tour company, had listed at least two slightly different itineraries, and I might have been sent to the one I did not pick. I noticed because I intentionally picked the tour with visits to two visitor centers, vs the one I went on only took us to Beaver Meadows. Not a big deal bc I did get still get my stamp, and the tour used most of the day's time efficiently by visiting many attractions. But this might be something you want to make sure if the stops matter a lot to you. Nonetheless, with a group tour, it is understandable and expected for the itinerary to potentially change. For instance, the day I went, the tour guide actually too us to visit places in different order to avoid crowds. Another thing to really appreciate is that the tour provided some snacks, extra gloves/beanies, which were really a lifesaver in the cold mountains. I know I was not fully prepared for it and so glad I could borrower some!
