Had a great time on this tour. The team Rachel, Danny and Cassandra were so great. They even brought out cat balls and the estates method devices.

I cannot recommend this tour enough! I go on a ghost tour in every city I visit and this tour was one of the best. The tour started at Union Station and into the tunnels under Union Station. We also went to some behind the scenes spots. I learned a phenomenal amount of Denver history on this tour and it was fun! Brook, the tour guide was absolutely phenomenal. He checked in on my group a few times to make sure we were ok. He knew his facts and told the history in such an interesting and engaging way. I'd definitely recommend this tour while in Denver!

The room was pitch black and I saw this beam of light after taking this photo:)

This tour is such a fun way to create some Halloween cheer :) the tour guide Brooke was so knowledgeable about the history of Denver and as a native I learned so much. I also did capture a ghost on camera too! Over all for sure go!

Interesting, fun, and creepy in the best way. We booked a private tour with a small group of friends. The guide accommodated our schedule and told us stories while we waited for our latecomers. Though I grew up in Denver, I had no idea of much of the rich and colorful history dwelling in the downtown area. It was certainly not always the spiffed up and glamorous locale that it is now. We went around Halloween, but I imagine the tour would be enjoyable most any time. A powerful link with the past in an ever-evolving city.

Also, with the 114th anniversary of the Titanic approaching, I figured I should learn more about the disaster's one of the most prominent survivors. My tour guide (Eli) was very informative and they talked about a lot of the inticracies of the house that I wouldn't have noticed if I had wandered around the house by myself, including details about the staircase and the method of constructing it, the wallpaper, stained glass, etc. I was particularly fascinated by how Margaret Brown leveraged her high profile status as a Titanic wreck survivor to fight for various causes such as women's suffrage, who she really was behind the legend of "Molly Brown," and the history of the house after its sale (how it became a group home for girls, and their antics of painting the lions up front and throwing things at the people passing by on the sidewalk). Definitely grateful for Eli's expertise -- shows they're really passionate about passing down the local history to the community and beyond. I left with more knowledge than I expected to learn. Thank you Eli! It was also great that the house itself contained a good number of original pieces of the house from back in the 1910s, which isn't always the case with historical houses. There was also a little back room that had original pieces from the White Star Line so people could see the plates and other things that passengers on the Titanic would have used, as well as a super detailed model of the ship itself. Will definitely be recommending this tour for anyone who plans to go to Denver.

I really enjoyed learning about the area's history and recent revitalization. I love it when cities can repurpose old buildings rather than tear them down. The tour started and ended at the train station which is an impressive building and is nicely air conditioned which helped us cool down at the end of the tour. The earbuds made it easy to hear throughout the tour even when there was traffic noise. Definitely bring plenty of water if it's hot out; there is shade which helps, but it is a walking tour so be prepared to be outside for the majority of the time. I was very happy I was wearing my sun hat. This was a fun activity and it was great to learn about the area of Denver where we were staying.

In order to cover as much ground as possible, I scheduled the RiNo North tour (covers north side) and the happy hour tour (supposedly covers much of what the classic tour covers). Randy was my guide, and was a laid back, knowledgeable guy. I fancy myself a bit of a street art connoisseur and think I could have done a lot of this on my own if I had done some planning, but Randy did offer a lot of info I didn't know about the art community in Denver and various street art terms I wasn't familiar with. We made a brief stop during the North tour for bathroom and drink breaks. For the happy hour tour, you're supposed to stop at a brewery, but I was the only one on the tour, so Randy and I opted to keep checking out art instead of stopping. Once I started posting on instagram, I consulted the pages they provide so you can credit the artists. Looking through those pages for all three tours, I really think the original gives you the most bang for your buck. If I could do it over, I would have just scheduled that one, then spread out on my own. Tours are around 32 bucks each. You can only book them if at least two people have booked, which is the minimum. I got the solo happy hour tour because I booked two tickets (I'm an anxious planner and was willing to pay extra to have it locked in on my schedule). Each tour covers about two miles and lasts around two hours. Worthwhile tour where you'll see some great street art, learn about the Denver art community, and get to know more about the town itself.

It is located in the ritzy Capitol Hill part of town. This stately home is on the National Register of Historic Homes, as it is a well-preserved architectural example of American Foursquare. Locally, this type of house is called a "Denver Square," which simply means that the design has four square rooms on the first and second floors. According to Wikipedia "Mamie Eisenhower lived in this house from 1906 until 1916. The Eisenhowers were married in the first floor music room on July 1, 1916. Their son, John Eisenhower was born in Denver on August 3, 1922, while Mamie was living in the house." After Mamie Eisenhower's mother died in 1960, she sold the home to a real estate investor. Since then, the house has gone through several owners. It is still privately owned and not available for tours. But Denver city tour operators do stop along the street in front of the house and talk about it's history. The Mamie Doud House is something the city Of Denver is proud of, as the Doud family were prosperous and their daughter Mamie certainly married well. Mamie Doud is so beloved that a park in southeast Denver was named after her as well as a public library in Broomfield, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. As a Historic Home on the National Registry, the Mamie Doud House is a great example of America's late 19th and early 20th century architectural heritage. 4 YELP STARS.
