    Day of purchase of Bently
    R R.

I was looking for a puppy and came across the listing of puppies at the pet store Four Paws and a Tail. One puppy was really of interest so we went to the pet shop to see him. There were a number of breeds there so I ended up looking at a number of the puppies before deciding on Bently, a Morkie. I took into consideration the overall condition of the puppies, the personality of Bently, the cleanliness of the pens, and customer support in making my decision. I was given advise regarding care verbally and in written form . Because especially small puppies can have hypoglycemic episodes if not provided adequate nutrition they stressed the importance thereof. Extra puppy food was provided at no additional cost and I was given paperwork that included information regarding DOB, breeder info, etc. Bently had been vet checked and the various vaccinations he had received as well as treatment for Kennel cough were noted. It also stated a grade I patella slip which was confirmed by my vet. Bently, was obviously a healthy, happy, busy puppy when I got him and has continued to flourish. In fact, he is playing constantly with the other dog in the house and I'll add he's smart ie. quickly learned about using the paper to potty I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another pup from this store and I appreciate the information and support provided by staff.

I'll keep it short so people who want a quick summary of my experience. My girlfriend and I went there to look at puppies. There was a new breed of American Eskimo puppies. They looked very cute and playful. We sat down and played with all three. They had white coats but were covered in pee all around so came off to look yellow! The majority of them smelt horrible with poop, they also had it on their feet and behind. It was extremely sad and when I went to take a picture before leaving they yelled "stop" at me and then kicked us out and said we couldn't be up from them. Not to mention while we were playing with the puppies the worker watching us wouldn't stop asking if we were going to buy one which felt like a joke and was appalling due to the state of the puppies, unfortunately. Such a shame that dogs have to be put through this and be used for what they are to make a profit from the ridiculous prices they charge. After: After having piss poor results from the place my girlfriend and I bought a well bred and treated Pomsky puppy from Pennsylvania. They drove it to Minnesota for us and has been the best dog ever being almost 1 year old now! She has not been sick once yet and is an amazing and happy dog who we couldn't be happiier with knowing we didn't support the cruel practices witnessed from this disguised puppy mill. I am simply showing a photo of my dog now as proof.

I love this place!…read more You know how your kid bugs you for a fish tank and promises to take care of it only to lose interest as soon as the first pair of guppies dies? Well, that was me over 50 years ago except I never lost interest. I've been keeping fish and visiting fish stores around the country for my entire life. The people from World Of Fish who started RiverShore Aquariums have done a great job. Located not far from the original World of Fish, RiverShore has clean tanks, friendly and knowledgeable staff and they are super keyed in on planted tank setups. These days my tanks are relatively simple just to keep things easy, rocks and driftwood mostly, but I've been wanting to do a planted tank for a while. I know the basics but had some questions on substrate, plant selection and lighting for what is basically going to be a freshwater nanotank. The staff person who helped me was super knowledgeable, answered my questions and gave me some good advice for getting started. They had a good selection of different kinds of gravel as well as an assortment of driftwood and rocks. I liked that they have a table where you can do a little aquascaping trial and error before you make a final selection. The fish were high quality and appeared healthy. Most were smaller species suitable for planted tanks. I even discovered a new species that I had never heard of - anchor catfish. Super cool and perfect for my little nanotank. I know enough about fish and have been to enough fish stores to know which ones are really good. Rivershore is at the top of the list if you live in the Twin Cities, and especially if you're interested in giving planted tanks a try. Even if its plants aren't your thing or you are new to the hobby, I'd checkout Rivershore for your first aquarium.

Rivershore Aquariums is that friend: All the tanks are SO clean, and so perfectly lit, and all the fish are ready for their closeups. It's like an aquatic Parade of Homes in there -- 0% chance of the "Oh gosh, that fish looks so sick, should I mercy-buy it & set up a hospital tank & try to save it? Or should I not give this place my money?" experience. You should definitely give this place your money. They also sold me the sweetest, most industrious little pleco I've ever had in my life. I bought her as a bristlenose pleco, but she's secretly some kind of Turbo Pleco -- as in, my tank gets direct sunlight (can't be avoided), and it had the algae to match, but a week after I brought my new plec'ling home, I found myself asking a visitor, "Hey, you didn't clean the inside of the 55gal while you were here, did you?" (Spoiler: No, I do not have tank-cleaning houseguests. I just have a magic pleco.)

Stopped by earlier today after seeing a post online about $10 nail trims, our dogs were due for…read morejust that plus the price is great! The location is great with plenty of parking. The store itself was smaller but clean and had lots of product! First thing I noticed was it was a little chaotic, understandable for a nail trim special event, although no staff ever called out where to check in and where to check out or where to get in line for the trims. There was one groomer who was very very sweet, even stepping out of the grooming room to trim nails for a shy dog while their owner held them, they must be a regular because I overheard the owner say "see you next month again". Our little Bruce went in first and I anticipated screaming but he was really screaming. Thank goodness for the windows into the grooming room because I saw him thrashing around and immediately went over asked to step in after hearing the groomer (different one than mentioned prior) raising her voice pretty loud at my dog a few times and saying things like "stop it", "that's enough", etc. I also saw her put some powder on his toenail but she never mentioned during or after the trim if she trimmed to short or what. Once I was holding him, it went much smoother but I didn't her tone of voice with him or the limited info on the powder. My other big, shy dog was hesitant to go in but I was able to encourage him in and he did fine. He actually seemed to be doing pretty good at first, I had asked for the filing on his if he tolerated it. Although when I had stepped in to hold our small dog, Bart (our big dog) FELL OFF THE TABLE, hanging briefly by the neck holder thing! The girl doing Bruce ran over to help lift him up and he was just fine but startled. Both of their nails are pretty good, 8.5/10. I do understand the chaos of this event and a full room or barking, whining dogs. I can imagine it's not the groomers favorite day or event. I understand some level of annoyance but also expect good service at the same time. It was not bad at all, it was alright and we were able to grab a couple bones on the way out which the boys will enjoy. Not 100% sure we will come back for the nail trim as we can do it at home but need to hold them like babies and it's not ideal but we will see. This might be better for those doggies who don't really mind nail trims and you're not confident in doing them yourself.
