To be honest, a lot of the magic is in the client wrangling. The product isn't so much "pet care" as "confidence that your pets are being thoughtfully and attentively cared for by someone that appreciates all their wonderful qualities." There's inherently a certain artifice to the detailed communication, the (high-quality!) photos of gamboling cats, and the kind observations. We've hired 4 Paws on and off for 4-5 years for our wheaten terrier, Daphne. Xandra has always been an excellent communicator and a prompt scheduler. The caregivers have always been wonderful, especially more recently when we needed 3 walks in a day during our wedding. We needed someone trustworthy so we wouldn't have to worry about whether there was an issue on a day when neither of us would be available in case of an emergency. Everything went smoothly and Daphne was happy as she could be to have walkers and friends visiting her throughout the day. The update reports and photos are also nice for peace of mind. We wouldn't hire anyone else for dog walks or daytime care. They're excellent and reliable. read more

Four Paws took on its responsibilities when the cat-sitter's car had been broken into, thus depriving the sitter of any means to enter my home and take care of my two cats. Although this disrupted my travel, it was obviously not anyone--except the burglar--'s fault. So I appreciate that under these difficult circumstances, things went smoothly after a new set of keys had been made. It took a lot of legwork to do this, including meeting with my landlord to have the lock changed and getting new keys. Rochelle, the cat-sitter, was very pleasant and easy to deal with. The response from Xandra at the time upset me so much it has taken this long to formulate any sort of response. First of all - my dog always had regular potty breaks and insulin injections I just didn't trust you to do it initially. Secondly - the box barrier you referred to WAS NEVER PUT UP AT ALL BY YOUR CAREGIVER. Her eyesight was NOT FAILING - SHE WAS COMPETELY BLIND AND YOU KNEW IT. I scheduled overnights for our cat Banjo and completely misunderstood what the hours were. When I suddenly had to add other drop-in visits at the last minute Xandra (the owner) was patient with me and made it happen by doing the drop-ins herself. Jenna was the overnight sitter and was fantastic and attentive to Banjo! He loved her and seemed immediately comfortable in her presence. They are true animal lovers and so easy to work with. I've been using Four Paws as a dog walking service for six months now and I can't say enough good things about this company. They take excellent care of our dogs regularly. We get both of our dogs walked a few times a week. Our dog walker sends us a post-walk update on the Four Paws portal, usually with a picture of the pups included. She also keeps us apprised of any goings on with the dogs or anything else in the house / neighborhood. The internet portal that Four Paws uses is also top notch. We monitor our walks, set our schedule and pay our invoices in one place. Very convenient and easy to use for busy people. We've had a lot of dog walkers in a few different place ... We are so grateful to have found Four Paws! We have a 2 year old Boxer and a 10 year old Boston Terrier who we were needing to find mid-day sitters for. We had unique requirements as our Boxer does not do well with other dogs (walks), so we needed a trustworthy company that would come let our dogs out mid-day, play with them in our yard or in the house if weather is bad and put them back in their crates. Four Paws is the perfect fit for us. We trust them and our dogs love them. We get pictures and "report cards" after each visit and are able to have a consistent dog sitter for our 3 days a week schedule ( we were very worried about a different person each time using Wag or another service).
