I'm rounding up a bit to 3 based on the incredible water pressure of the shower and the very helpful front desk employee who guided me to this hotel when my GPS was acting up. I was in Meriden for a work event at a nearby ski park, so this spot was a good choice for a stayover for our group. It has its own restaurant that I did not get to try, a gym and small indoor pool as well. We were offered a free breakfast buffet but the timing was off, it didn't begin until after 8am, which was when we needed to be at our event. I think there was coffee on earlier than that though. The reason for my low rating lies in some of the amenities, or lack thereof. I feel a microwave and mini fridge should be part of any hotel room at this point in our technological age, both were absent. So I picked up the empty ice bucket and scoured the 2nd floor, no ice machine anywhere. Guess they want you to take elevator down to lobby. Also, at about 9 pm when I finally had my shoes off and was resting from the long drive, the fire alarms throughout the whole hotel starting blasting. There was no sign of smoke in my hallway so I called the front desk for info. No fire, so that was good, but they were unable to turn off for at least 10 minutes. Those alarms are seriously loud, not very conducive to relaxing. The actual room was ok, pretty clean, mattress was good and with 2 beds and all the extra pillows, I was considering building a pillow fort. But that water pressure! I've stayed here several times over the last few years and it has gotten better each stay. The lobby area has been remodeled. There were two big Conferance rooms in the lobby area too. A small lounge with free coffee and tea with a TV. There's a nice sized pool and a small fitness room with some treadmills. There's also an outdoor area to sun during warmer weather. The rooms are mid sized. Pretty clean. The showers have shampoo, body wash and conditioner in dispensers which is good. The staff here are really nice and polite too. There's a bar/restaurant attached that has a breakfast buffet and offers room service too. Plenty of parking. read more

I've stayed here in the past and was so happy. This trip was less than stellar. I understand that Covid has a part in the operations of a hotel but this place is in serious disrepair. Its also frustrating when there are signs EVERYWHERE saying they require masks and most guests don't use one... and some employees (mainly front desk) don't either. Which was a bit of a shock. I'd love to say I'd go back but this certainly left a very sour taste in my mouth. read more

This is an old Sheraton located in Meriden. The rooms were large and customer service was good. The breakfast buffet was above average. The hotel did not appear to be busy and the bar and restaurant only had a few customers = no nightlife. read more

Entry is plain, as a Sheraton was expecting more pizazz. Room is mid range, not the usual higher end furnishings. Staff is friendly, not welcoming. I am a weekly traveler and stay in what is normally higher end. I generally book through 3rd party online. Of 4 nights this week, I requested a refund for 1 of the nights due to airline flight cancellation . In 5 yrs I have had 3 needs for cancellation due to airline issues.The previou 2, Marriott and Hilton gave refund for the night I was stranded in airports. This Sheraton refused. I flew today and kept my other 3 of the 4 nights reservation, but have a bad taste for a hotel that needs to hold the cash when stranded. For that, what I wouldve ranked a 2 star dropped to a 1 star. We rushed booked this hotel because it was a last minute trip to Connecticut and found that this hotel was pet friendly. Upon arrival, the exterior part of the hotel seemed well kept, and the lady at check-in was really nice, trying to accommodate us to a room that was fit for my parents and my dog. So here's a list of pros and cons that I found during our stay ; Pros : - Super friendly staff (They all greeted, asked us if we needed anything) - Silver City Restaurant (The sweet potato fries are a must, the other reviews didn't lie, you get a decent amount of food for the price you pay) - 24hr gym (This one is self explanatory, good equipment, water and towels are provided) - Pool (I find that most hotels have pools that only end at 5ft, this one however went up to 8ft, pool hours were 7am-11pm) - There is an exterior fenced backyard type of space by the pool, that was great when my dog needed a quick run around. Cons : - Modernize EVERYTHING (All the furniture was pretty old, and antique, I don't know maybe that's their theme) - No microwave (I couldn't heat up my left overs, means more money I had to spend on food) - Cleanliness was the biggest issue at this hotel: * My bed sheets were old, and dirty * The blow dryer provided was rusty, old, and filled with dirt. We ended up air drying our hair the whole trip. * The base of the bathroom toilet was broken * The bathroom walls were splattered with what seemed to be hair dye * There were stains on the bedroom carpet. I can go on with how they need a better sanitary maintenance on this hotel, but like I said semi-detailed and I feel like I stretched it out enough. To end it all off , my 1 year old dog enjoyed her stay at the hotel. She was so comfortable and relaxed. This hotel did upkeep my pet-friendly expectations. This is based on a few separate stays at this hotel. I only stay here because the pricing is reasonable enough that it fits within my work expense budget and because I get to have my SPG points. Pros: -front desk/ customer service is great -rooms are cheap -gym seems clean Cons: -housekeeping practices are questionable -depending on your room, when you turn on the heater, it may or may not have a burning smell What really bothered me was I checked into a room that didn't look too clean. There was finger prints all over the mirror part of the bedside lamp. The lotion in the bathroom was USED. I can't believe they would leave used lotion for brand new check ins. I brought it up to management and they were kind enough to switch me to a different, cleaner room. Both management and corporate people contacted me and were very apologetic so I think their customer service is great and makes up for the housekeeping mishap. read more

Okay, this gets 3 stars for the fact that the rooms were decent, the hotel restaurant food was actually delicious, and despite this place being on the ramshackle side, it's not that bad, assuming that you are aware of some things going into it. I also feel that because it is a good price, AND they allow dogs (with no real weight limit and a relatively small non-refundable deposit of $50, which is much less than the competition in the area). I booked this place online after I bought a ticket for TIC radio station's Holiday Concert at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT. (Backstreet Boys, OMGGG!!!) Many of the places in the area either don't allow dogs, or demand an absurd $150 deposit A DAY for a dog. That's really absurd, and it makes traveling with any sort of a budget nearly impossible. Though the reviews for this place were a little hairy, I figured I'd take my chances... since I had no other options. I checked in early on a Saturday afternoon, and luckily there was a room ready. The girls at the desk were nice, though they did not mention the dog deposit, even though I knew about it. They didn't give me any information about the hotel (hours of restaurant, breakfast options, local places to get food) so I had to sort of pull this information out of them. Once my dog and I unpacked the Corolla and settled into the room, I ordered to-go food from the restaurant. I ordered a roasted veggie sandwich on this good bread. It was quite tasty! They have a few things on the small menu that are very veggie friendly, and actually really good! I also ordered the Greek Salad without feta, which was nice field greens, some nice olives and tomatoes, and good dressing. Not a pitiful salad at all, good portions. The complex itself is certainly old, but they've made the guest rooms look rather new and refreshed. Although, the rest of the building is very old-style architecture, and doesn't stand the test of time, even though I can tell they've done what they can for aesthetics. The linen on the beds is crisp and white, and the beds were comfy. The bathroom and the guest room have definitely been updated, and I can tell the guest rooms and the hallways all have fresh carpet. Now, here are the bad things that you need to be aware of going in. 1. The internet was the worst internet I've experienced since the days of AOL. It was pitiful. There's a password they give you on your key packet when you check in, but it literally only worked super slowly for about an hour the day I got there. I tried and tried again to get it to work on my laptop. No, I didn't report it, because the chain hotels just tell you to call the 1-800 number to troubleshoot, which I wasn't going to spend the time doing, because I know it wasn't my computer, and I wasn't there for work. 2. Many of the channels on the TV said "no signal". Yet, they were advertised on the Channel 2 TV guide the hotel provides (and this guide was always wrong, and never showed the correct time frame, for example, it shows what's playing on the channels from 1 PM to 3 PM, and it's 3:30 right now. 3. The common areas and hallways are, how to say it..... remind me of an old truck stop. For example, on many of the rooms, there is no room number on the door or on the wall next to the guest room. It's literally ON A PIECE OF PLYWOOD WRITTEN IN SHARPIE and the PLYWOOD is glued to the wall. I should have taken a photo. Also, there were no official signs anywhere in the first floor, it was all paper signs (Ladies room, Conference Room, etc). I don't know what they're waiting for to get new signage, but it looks terribly sloppy. 4. Pool was out of order. It doesn't say this on the website. I sort of had hoped maybe going for a dippy dip in the indoor pool. Nope. 5. 1 of 2 elevators was out of order. The elevators are DREADFULLY SLOW, and I mean DREADFULLY. Ask for a low floor and take the stairs. I was on the 3rd floor, and my dog and I traipsed up and down the entire time. 6. The grounds were SLOPPY. There are all these little trashcans/ashtray stands around the grounds, and they were all overflowing, and there were even extra bags of garbage that people had put next to the trash (maybe from their room, or from their car), and it was there 26 hours after I checked in. Gross. How can you miss this? How can all the managers come and go from this property, and not have someone take care of the exterior trash? So gross. There were tons of housekeepers floating around. How does this happen? 7. The NIGHTCLUB, I mean the hotel restaurant, music was LOUD. And I mean LOUD. I came back from the concert at 12:45 AM, and I could hear the bass from the restaurant/bar in my room. (cutting this short, running out of characters). 8. Housekeepers banged on my door at 9:30 and 10:30 to bully me out of the room. They should not be doing that on rooms that haven't checked out yet. Just wait!!! read more

Tired, worn property. Not sure if the better option is a complete remodel or simply to raze it. Even their computer system is hurting. Checkin process took 20 minutes as my credit card was declined. I noted that the problem was not on my end. Card #2 declined. Let the next person in line go in front of me. His was declined also. The 3 of us in line had to fill out a full page sheet by hand providing all personal and cc info so that we could get our rooms. Next morning, go down for coffee at 7:00 am and the restaurant was just opening. Available coffee was lukewarm. Fresh coffee brought out at 7:15. The charge for the coffee was waived ....yea! To be fair, the staff that I interacted with were very pleasant and acknowledged me every time I walked by the front desk. They are simply dealing with an obsolete property and I suspect inattentive management. How about having free coffee available for business travelers in the morning? read more

Staff are friendly. Initial booking through hotel understood our room was on first floor. My mistake as no rooms on same floor as pool. Was given room with queen bed, full size fold out couch, micro, mini fridge and one complimentary bottle of water. Beds were comfy, room clean and bathroom looks like recently updated. Indoor pool is a bonus and good size. Bkft was a disappointment...hot buffet was luke warm, greasy and ltd choice . Bar cocktail price bit high, no nuts/nibbles and ltd choice of bar menu...no mozzarella sticks, garlic cheese bread, or basic appetizers. Too bad as hotel is off beaten track. Overall would stay here again but would bring own snacks/bites and utilize in-room mini fridge/micro. Staff are attentive, friendly and accommodating which makes up for minor disappointment. read more

This place has gone downhill fast from the landscaping outside to the broken elevator inside. After checking in I was unpacking and kicked what sounded like beer cans under the bed so I took a look low and behold any empty six pack of beer . Then my wife finds what we hope was just the remnants of an empty packet of ketchup that dried on the table . During a time of covid this place could be a health inspectors nightmare. We unfortunately were stuck here for 3 days the mask requirements were ignored by many guests which was alarming to say the least. The 1st flr button for one of the elevators was broken so you had to literally put your finger through a broken panel in hopes that it activates the elevator to go down. Both elevator floors were wet the entire time due to people from the pool walking barefoot in the elevators . Not sure if there was even a housekeeping and maintenance staff onsite as this place was in total disarray. My first dirty room with empty beer under the bed had no working phone and a tub that wouldn't drain. The room across the hall they moved us into had no working tv and what seemed like sheets that were too small for the king bed. I would not recommend staying here or anywhere in Meriden. read more

Usually get a room on the 6th floor...those have the nice couches and a microwave/fridge combo...perfect for stashing some snacks and some sodas or other drinks. This is my 2nd time going to this hotel. It is very clean and the staff are friendly. It is relatively smaller than other hotels I have stayed at, but that is not a bad thing. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are a nice size. The hotel has an onsite restaurant, which is a plus. However, I have not been there yet so I cannot comment on how the food is. Over all this is a nice place to stay if you are in the neighborhood. It is a short drive to the highway and surrounding towns. read more

After a nice romantic dinner, my wife and I came back to the hotel room and got ready for bed, she noticed the bed smelled like it had been slept in. After smelling it, she was right, the sheets smelled horrible. She went down and told the woman at the front desk and the woman said "i can assure you, they have not been slept in". My wife happens to be a housekeeper in a fancier hotel and knows for sure they did not have that fresh linen scent. We waited for a half an hour for someone to bring fresh sheets and fix the bed, when the guy arrived, he handed us the sheets and said here you go. Guess what....we were given the wrong size sheets! So we walked down to the lobby with both dirty sheets and wrong sized clean sheets...placed them on the desk and told the woman exactly what happened. We waited for a few mins for fresh sheets and were handed the right size, clean linen...yet no fitted sheet to go over the mattress. Being so tired from an 8 hour drive today, we've made the bed, left this review on every site possible and can not wait to discuss this at check out. read more

The Four Points by Sheraton in Meriden, CT has definitely improved past where their rating is now. I stayed for 1 night and received absolutely excellent service. Staff at the front desk and walking around the hotel were very welcoming. In addition, the rooms were clean. Free parking is available in the lot, and it was plentiful. In addition, the free WiFi was reasonable (3MB upload, 1.5 MB download) for basic surfing, though I did not try streaming any content. I encountered a hiccup during my stay that I want to hear how the hotel plans to address. In the middle of the night, our next door neighbor turned on their television. I know this because it sounded like the clock radio had turned on in our room. Now I know that the television was on at a low-average volume, which means that the walls are plaster thin in this hotel. That is absolutely unacceptable, and short of tearing down the walls and re-building, I would like to hear what the management's solution is. Even a solution as simple as offering ear plugs to all guests would be a reasonable fix for this all-too-common hotel problem. read more

Just a step up from a motel. Very old, dingy, outdated hotel. I'm confused as to how it can be called a Sheraton hotel. The staff were super friendly but the hotel is a dive. Carpets worn, bed spread had a hint of blood on it. When I asked for a clean one, they did bring me a clean comforter quickly. They leave one roll of toilet paper in the room. We called for more toilet paper and it took about 45 minutes. The mattress is yellow from stains and the mattress cover is simply a pad that lays across the mattress. The hotel sheets have lost their elasticity so they don't stay on the mattress well. I could go on and on.... read more

Let's call a spade a spade - this is a decent hotel in the middle of nowhere (sorry, central CT)... I'm an elite SPG member, and this place cost me a mere 3,000 points - and for 3,000 points, your expectations should not be very high...I pretty much got what I expected... Rooms were fine - the comment about the plaid couch is just ridiculous - this isn't the W in Union Square or River North, so I don't think interior design points are at the top of their list! My room was clean, TV worked just fine, took a swim in the pool (which was clean - had to ask for pool towels though, as there were none to be found)...late checkout was not a problem (most likely due to a complete lack of other customers!)... Phone in the room DID have problems, but who is really using these phones anyway unless it's to call the front desk?? Lido's Pizzeria just down the road was a great place to grab a pizza (thin and crispy, open 'til 11)... All in all, this place is fine if you're in the area and need a bed...probably much better than the nearby Comfort Inn and Candlewood Suites.... read more

They put up with the rowdiest crowd from Boston ever. That gives them alot of respect in my book. We took over 3 floors of the hotel I think. Our room was lovely for the price we were paying, and everything was clean, and tastefully done. I love Starwood Hotels though so I may be sorta biased. There's a hotel bar for us to hang out at and a pool to lay out at, what else do I need? One annoyance was that housekeeping kept on waking us up in the morning. Not necessarily what I have come to expect from a hotel with the Sheraton name being affiliated with it (this is the first opportunity I have to stay in a "Four Points" branded hotel). I suppose that this is the Sheraton's answer to other hotels of this price point (i.e. perhaps Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, etc.). I suspect that this particular property was once one of those other "budget friendly" hotels, as you can tell that there once was a different sign over the door where the "Four Points" sign now stands. I noticed that one of the previous reviews stated something about this property supposedly having been refurbished. Quite frankly, I think that only seems to apply to the lobby and/or the bar/restaurant as it seems "nice" (although sparse). As for the guest rooms themselves, those are (or at least the room I was in), are in need of a well deserved update. The room I had, the carpeting was dirty (stained), the old drop ceiling in the bathroom was water stained in a few places, the desk chair would not stay elevated and the bed itself was a bit on the mushy side. It is also worth noting, that while conventional wisdom told me to press down on the room handle (after inserting my room key card), to enter the room, I learned that when it came to these doors, the handle needs to be turned in an upwards (clockwise) motion in order to open the door . . . d'oh! While you could go down to New Haven and probably have a better choice of accommodations, if you happen to find yourself in the "valley" of central Connecticut, this is an OK place to stay for a night or two if you have to, but much longer than that, you might want to find elsewhere. read more

On the plus: Clean, spacious rooms Helpful front desk staff On site sports bar with B- food Free wi-fi On the minus: No hot tub Expensive Vending machines were broken on every floor Staff in the sports bar were on the rude-side, actually followed my boss up to her hotel room to say she couldn't pay on her room, which she actually could and was later cleared up by the front desk. One star is way to generous I booked a hotel room on August 6 for a trip on August 21. Realizing that I had double booked myself, I then cancelled the reservation on August 10. Checking my credit card statement I noticed that no refund had been given. I called the hotel and spoke to a woman named Kimberly who notified me, in her bubbly we don't care about our customers "policy is policy" attitude, that no refunds are given to anyone that books through Trip Advisor/Expedia. I then read the cancellation policy from Trip Advisor to her. The cancellation policy states: Each room in this reservation is subject to the hotel's cancellation policy which is: Booking is subject to a 1 night's room and tax change or cancellation fee. Bookings cancelled after 08/18/2015, 06:00 PM (America/New York) are non-refundable. There is no refund for no-shows or early checkouts. She then told me that she is not in charge of what the cancellation policy states on Trip Advisor and this was their policy. I am utterly disgusted at the way this was handled and I personally will never stay with this hotel chain again. read more

I am among a number of guests who booked rooms at this property for a Friday, May 18th overnight stay. What a night! The hotel's sales team booked a couple of live concert events in the two main floor salons (neither of which were equipped with an effective sound barrier). Guests occupying rooms directly above this 'venue', all the way up to the 5th floor got NO sleep the entire night. The blaring music and noisy, drunken guests deprived them of the minimum expectation of a night's sleep. Fortunately for me and my family, Four Points booked us into a room remote from the blaring music. However, when the elevator doors opened onto the 6th floor, we were immediately repelled by the physical deterioration of the common area. Hall rugs were stained with mildew and damp to the touch. Drywall dust and pieces of drywall were strewn everywhere. I thought to myself surely I'd find some refuge from these eyesores upon entering our room. It was even worse once inside. Now I can understand the economic incentive to fill guest rooms with paying guests. THIS room (and I'm guessing most every other room on this 6th floor) was not up to Sheraton occupancy standards. Why in the world would this property's management open these 'under construction' rooms to paying guests? No one's interest was served in doing so. I hope someone with corporate oversight responsibility actually looked into this. At the very least, property management should have informed prospective guests that the rooms intended for their occupancy were not 'standard' rooms. The surprise, discomfort and lack of options we experienced makes me question how well Sheraton oversees its properties. I wish I could post images of our room so each of you could make an independent and informed judgment of whether to trust this property to meet your needs and expectations. Awful. I was just there for a business trip and it was the worst. First, I got to the hotel at 9:30PM, and when I went to the room they gave me, there was already someone in it. They then moved me to what I found out is a handicap room - shower on the floor, no sink space, smaller bed, etc. In the room, I flushed the toilet and it just kept running & running. I went down to lobby and asked for new room - was told there was no other room - ok. I told her (I believe name was Oly) that toilet was broken that I was going to meet colleague for drink while someone ran up there to fix it - which she assured me would happen asap. 30 minutes later I get to my room and no one had been there! Now it's 10:30 and the guy 1st needed to come up. So, he fixed it and of course it broke again in the morning which I told them when I went downstairs and there was new person on duty. To my surprise she asked why the person the previous night didn't just book me in one of the available doubles (!!!) It was one night of my life and I survived of course, but had someone been given key to my room when I was already in it, and lets say I was sleeping or showering or such, it could've been a really scary situation. I will also mention that one of my colleagues was also given a key to an occupied room. This is NOT something they should take lightly... My customer has booked many rooms here through their stay in area, and at this point should have VIP status. I have shared this with them. read more

Attended here on 12/7/219 for an awards luncheon. The waiter staff was fairly good but the luncheon food was not tasty nor cooked well. The choice was salmon or chicken. The chicken looked like it was boiled. It had no color. It was just thrown on the plate with dry rice (no type of topping/gravy) and very undercooked green beans. This luncheon food was not good. The preparation & taste was thoroughly lacking. I will not attend another function at this location. read more

I had a horrible stay at this location. The walls are paper thin. Our neighbors partied until 4 am. We finally called security. Security told them we were the ones who complained. That added fuel to their fire. They began banging on the walls and going crazy. We called security again and had to threaten to get the police involved. They finally squashed the situation. I don't know where these other folks are accustomed to staying but I am being overly generous by awarding this property 2 stars! The extra star is basically because of the security guard. I arrived late at night, alone, and he had me park in the van spot. The lobby is decent and the rooms okay at best. This hotel is not clean. The elevators looked as though they had not been vacuumed in days and I am convinced I should consider myself lucky if my sheets were clean as the room was not. The shower dripped and there was rust as a result. The staff inside the hotel was not accommodating and understaffed. I felt awful that the front desk woman was on her own but as a result despite having a high status with Starwood she would not give me a late check out and insists it was at their discretion. I have never heard this before. Normally I would call her out or report this but I did feel awful that she alone. I ended up receiving the late checkout by calling SPG directly but SPG had to call the hotel and call me back confirming the late check out. How annoying, I should not have to do that, especially because I only take the late check out if I really need it. Starwood dump this property, it is not worthy of your fine name and reputation. read more

and yet another smoking room when they tell you downstairs it's not. I was too tired to move my things once I had spread everything out. When I get to a hotel at night I am usually too tired to move let alone move out once I am settled. IIt just didn't feel fresh. I feel bad for the cleaning staff, it's not a nice job but There were wrappers under the bed. it's hard being a chain hotel but this one doesnt make it. I would have stayed at the Marriott at southbury but I didn't want to pay extra. Next time I'll learn my lesson read more

This place is filthy. I checked into my room and there were bugs on the window, toilet was not flushing, floor was covered in white stuff and room smelled like smoke. Hallways are dirty and overall appearance is dirty. They did change my room and service in restaurant was good but I will never stay here again. read more

I give 2 stars to their friendly staff. Their wifi is much worse than JFK. I bring my laptop and iPad but couldn't use them at all. You can't even update weather forecast with their wifi. Second, the toilet flush extremely slow and you have to push the handle for a while. It is disgusting and makes me sick! Today is my first night here and I have one more night to stay, I can't even imagine how to spend the other day. Just want to leave asap. Sigh..... read more

The only reason I am willing to give it 2 stars is it was easy to get to, the key card worked from the start and there are worse properties at this price point. Strongly regret not going to a B&B. Good - the comfort of the bed, the size of the fridge, the clarity of the TV picture and sound. - "green" housekeeping - conserved water and did not disturb or enter room during stay. - Shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower. - Water pressure great. - Linens - Fluffy, absorbent, white towels. Adequate, somewhat worn bedding. - Room on 4th floor was adequately separated from the entertainment venues Irritating - fridge in the closet prevented sliding door from moving - could not hang clothes - small bathroom proved adequate except no exhaust fan. Room fogged, odors lingered and the towels stayed damp. - A convention set up while we stayed. Event took over the public space making it difficult to maneuver in/out of elevator, in the halls or through the lobby. Signs on unstable stands added challenges. Unacceptable - the elevator floor was filthy. Half eaten candy bars and candy wrappers persisted for more than 24 hours. Other public floors aged. - the air conditioning unit rumbled and vibrated at all cooling settings. The noise level compared to the roar of a tractor trailer. Leaving unit off meant the room became airless, humid and hot. Leaving it on led to fitful sleep. Each cycle added a distinct boom, louder rumble. Exhausted the entire stay. read more

The receptionist was nice, restaurant had decent food but there were more bass than goods. The rooms were order and have an odd smell. The bathroom does not have a fan so the smell could be a mildewy odor. The tub was clogged and the towels were so thin and short and they only give you too. The worst part about the hotel was he horrible air units. The room felt stuffy and hot. We had to leave the air running non-stop. I thought I was going to wake up with a nose bleed a couple of nights because of the stuffiness. It was convenient in reference to a family members apartment complex but we would not stay there again unless it was the only hotel available. I almost forgot... Every Saturday night is Latino dancing nights in the ballrooms downstairs and we could hear and feel the base of the music on the 5th floor where we were staying. I felt bad for anyone on the lower floors. Earplugs would be a must. read more

Ok stayed just one night to go see Keith Urban at the Oakdale Theater and one night was too long. This thing was rennovated? Really? Yikes. The price is a bit much for the condition of the place. The rugs in this place are sooooo dirty. The furniture is mismatched. At least the bed wasn't bad and the sheets were clean but that was it. I'll stay at the Hampton Inn down CT 15 next time. Slept 6 hours and then drove back to RI at 6:30 am because I just couldn't stand it. read more

Agree with Karen C. I didn't have alpacas for my stay, sadly, which would have bumped it up but I decided to keep it a 2 star anyway.

I have been staying here for well over 4 months now and I have quite enjoyed it. While the rooms are a little dated, they are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and will help you with your needs. read more

We booked several rooms for Thanksgiving - a couple generations and some special requests (of course!!!) The rooms were clean, the people were super-friendly. My kind of breakfast - simple & hearty. Rooms are pretty nice, obviously updated in the past few years. Wifi was not powerful enough to connect from my room, breakfast was an additional charge, and it was pretty horrible. The lobby area is a maze, after being here for 3 days I still had problems coming and going to the elevator. Had to move the bed away from the wall to find a power outlet charge my phone. The elevator was also very slow, I found it much faster to just climb the three flights of stairs. Fitness center was nice, even having free weights which is great for me when traveling. The conference room, meeting rooms, and ball rooms looked very nice. read more
