I didn't like the host much, kept looking at my license picture and looking at me like I had a fake id. Asked me if I had any guests or pets with me and my no answer did come across truthful to him. When I parked my car I was greeted by two younger kids checking out my car. I am assuming the owners son's checking to see if I had any pets or guests with me. They proceeded to run up and down the alley way for an additional five minutes too. Anyways. You can deposit $100 cash which I would prefer, credit card machine looks old and now a days can you trust using them? The room itself was ok. Clean on the surface but it is dirty. The kitchen is unsanitary, if you look under the cabinets you can find old stains from ether the coffee machine or stove. The bed was blah. The sheets felt like plastic and you wake up with a sore neck. I would recommend bringing a pillow with you but wash it when you get home if you do, felt like bugs were on me when trying to fall asleep. Couldn't wait to get home and shower! I checked out early so left the key in the room as instructed to do, which was fine but the cost of the room gets the extra star. There were mysterious red stains on the couch. No bed bugs though! Breakfast was underwhelming. The apple juice was very watery. The food was generally pretty bland. Eggs rubbery, sausage was unflavorful. The boiled oatmeal was literally mush. Bagels were ok. Also, the chair cushions in the lobby were chipped/cracked and peeling. Table was wobbly. The location is in a random spot in a sketchy neighborhood. Parking is ok. Basically, I agree with the other reviewers that this place is definitely dated and janky af lol. The entrance is really easy to miss as the traffic is moving so fast and the Hyatt sign is so small, low, and not lit very well. The entry looks like a service entry to some back area.. and it is way in the back so you will not see the building until you are well down their road after you turn in. Parking not so bad although I can see on a busy weekend it could be a challenge to find a spot near the front. Elevator is past right desk to right, whereas dining is to left. There is a gym open 24 hours (didn't go to it) The indoor pool I believe is open until 10PM (didn't go to it) 5 Minutes straight down the road to the Mohegan Sun (nearest to Winter Parking) Room with king was clean and in good condition. Everything worked. Bathroom door was wide and ADA compliant. In our King room we had a couch, work table, king bed, mini fridge, one LCD large flat screen TV, and all the other typical stuff in a room. The breakfast in morning included hot service: Canadian bacon (slightly salty but great) Has brown cubes Scrambled egges French toast (without the vanilla extract) Also - hard boiled eggs, totilla wraps, berries in sauce, yogurt, various breads, bannanas, OJ/Apple Juice/and Cranberry? No smoking unit - great! I do not believe it accepts pets either. Not sure. Some movie channels could not connect because of signal issues. The menu on the TV is a big pain as you cannot scroll the menu, just let it run through. If you hit the channel up or down button it only effects the channels not the menu. There is no menu button. HVAC works fine. Typical noise but at least you don't hear clanking blades or noise like a airplane when it's running. Sink is out side bathroom which has shower (rain style not forceful spray), and toilet. Towels are placed in shower stall, high up and opposite shower head. Two night stands (one has a useless clock with no instructions), so use your cell phone for an alarm. The other night stand has a USB connector box. Both sides of bed had sconces. I would stay again if it was same great price (under $100 plus tax; weekend is probably higher). Well worth it at this rate! Oh, also we like to grab coffee in the evening but their complimentary coffee was only in the morning hours. Had two rooms - a double queen bed room that was nice and a King Suite that was super spacious. Liked that the Suite had two bathrooms and a true separate bedroom area. Unethical Hotel Practices - Don't Book Here…read more I booked a suite 9 months ahead through a well-known hotel booking app, fully paid and confirmed. I've used this app countless times with no problems and have stayed at this hotel 17 times in the past 3 years. Yet, the hotel downgraded my suite to a regular room. Staff were dismissive, corporate refused to assist, and talking to other guests revealed this is a recurring practice. It's clear the hotel deliberately downgraded rooms to sell them at higher rates during a sold-out Mohegan Sun concert. The app fixed the payment, but the hotel's customer service was nonexistent. Avoid this property unless you want to risk being ripped off.
