This should easily have been a "very good" rating...very pretty property, great staff and location...but you are NOT maintaining it! :-( So sad to see! Your staff is actually great and deserves to have a place that they can be proud of. We've been looking for a property for our visits to UCSC. PROS: The staff was GREAT! CS on FB mentioned that they had issues with staff through Covid. That must have been somewhat resolved. Kacie at the front desk was very real, personable and smiling throughout out stay. We also had help from Steevee Ray at the front desk. He was really nice and just a cool guy. The housekeeping staff we ran into was really sweet as well! The King double-beds room is HUGE. The pics really don't do the size of this room justice. More room than needed and the beds do seem to be REAL king beds. There's a refrigerator in the room (not mentioned on the website). We were VERY pleased the with room size and view. The bathroom is pretty, but see below for more. The fire pits in the beautiful courtyard are awesome! Nice touch! Very nice, large TVs! Too bad the controls are sooooo slowwwww! You guys need a firmware update or something! NOTE: The larger rooms do not face the creek and courtyard in the back, although the view is still pretty! CONS: ALL of these are an EASY fix and very unfortunate! This property was built in 2017, but it the rooms and hallways are NOT being well maintained (see pics): 1) Carpet is disgusting. There are recent, chunky stains in the room that just shouldn't be there. NO REASON for this in a nice, new property! It's ridiculous that someone chose light carpet for the hallway, but it's stained EVERYWHERE (on 3rd floor at least). 2) Beautiful bathroom with black mold in the shower corners! WHY!!?!?!? A little bleach spray would take care of this! GROSS 3) Unkonwn stains on sheets! GROSS again...and not necessary! 4) Broken crank on window - this is minor, but who thought plastic cranks in a high volume location was smart? 5) Again, bad planning - the opening for the pretty shower is HUGE! It's one of those no-door showers, but so large that you'll have to have towels all over the pretty bathroom for your entire stay! What a ridiculous design (no fault of the staff, obviously). More work and laundry for housekeeping. OTHER: They have a nice parking garage with complementary parking, but the door seems to always be wiiiiiide open! Security please! read more

We stayed here for our trip to Capitola. I booked the reservation for about a month or so. Check in time at 3pm and check out time at 12pm. They even had an underground car garage which you can access with your room card key. Luckily our room was near the car garage so we can just exit by taking the stairs. They included a bar, gym, breakfast (not free), etc. Once we arrived in our room, I noticed how huge the ceiling was. Even the glass shower was nice and spacious. The bathroom had a large mirror with bright lights. Too bad there was no fridge or a safe deposit box. It was very cold that day, but when we tried to switch the heater, it took a while to get warm. We had trouble sleeping because of the loud banging noise in the hallway which started around 5 in the morning. I found out they were doing some repairs, possibly the heater. I don't know why they should had do the repairs later while people are awake. I would had given 5 stars if it wasn't for the repair noise, but overall it was a nice stay. read more

Just checked in and I'm already not pleased. The pictures of the hotel look great, the hotel room itself is alright, but the service is horrible. I think there's some miscommunication between departments which causes the overall service to suck- which other reviews stated. I'm a Marriott member and cardholder. On the app it allowed for me to check in earlier than 3pm. I wanted to use a certain card so I had to check in in person. We arrived around 1 and the room wasted ready. No biggie. We waited and I would occasionally ask if the room was ready. 3pm came and I along with others were trying to check in. The room wasted ready and finally was waiting on getting inspected. It was 3:30 when we got checked in. I requested a top floor specifically so we don't have loud people above since I have a baby. I also requested extra towels. Neither requests were fulfilled. I also want to note that the tv sounds like there's static and the mini fridge is very mini. We got a suite room so we had extra space for the baby. But the fridge was a bit too small for our food/drinks/ baby food. I'll update rating if service improves during stay. read more

Where to start? This place is a absolute joke , from check it was all down hill. Me and my other 3 guest show up for check in and are told that they changed our room to a solo king from two queens. You tell me how your supposed to sleep four people in one bed ? Going from there the water in the shower doesn't work "the city didn't send us enough water " what the front desk lady said. Who I may mention had no sympathy or customer service in terms of the situation. Also I asked why our room hadn't been cleaned and I was told they don't clean your room unless you stay three nights and I asked when they would clean all the piles of sheets up from the hallway "they are working on it " oddest way I've ever seen a Hotel clean. After traveling for 10+ hours, all I wanted was a hot shower and silence to get some rest. FIrst thing I noticed when walking into my room was this HUGE black cobweb, just above the TV (see pictures). I walked over to take a closer look to make sure it wasn't just a shadow, only to have a massive ball of hair get caught in between my toes (see pictures)-GROSS!! Being completely exhausted, I brushed off the cobweb (just don't look at it) and grabbed some toilet paper to clean up the hair ball. Pretty disgusted and would definitely expect better for a Sheraton-this is not a Motel 6! I went onto taking a shower, which was an experience that only got WORSE. The hotel has clearly had some 'updates' to the rooms, but the work must have been performed by 2 blind monkeys because there is no way anyone with any ounce of talent performed this. The texture on the walls were splattered, huge cutouts to the walls and ceiling in the bathrooms and the showers' glass wall was about useless, causing water to go ALL over the bathroom floor. Conveniently, I was only provided with ONE towel, so I did my best to sop up the puddling water that remained after just a quick 5 minute shower. The design of the shower makes absolutely no sense and made a huge mess for me to clean up. Being overwhelmingly frustrated and beyond tired, I decided to just call it a night and crawl into bed... to no surprise at this point, there were visible STAINS underneath the sheets where I was to lay down. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! On top of this, I could hear every footstep and conversation in the neighboring rooms. I would expect an experience like this at a Motel, but NOT a Sheraton and at the RATE I paid to stay here! $$$$ After going downstairs to request another room, preferably on the 3rd floor, I was told there were none available and was placed in another room on the 1st floor. I probably only got 4-5 hours of sleep, due to the herd of what sounded like elephants above me all evening and then into the early hours of the morning. To say I am displeased with my stay here is a MASSIVE UNDERSTATEMENT! I would NEVER recommend or stay at this hotel again and the manager should be absolutely appalled by the lack of housekeeping and horrid construction of the building. I am so immensely dissatisfied and when asked to speak to a manager the following morning to address all of these issues, I was told they were "in a meeting". I had a flight to catch or I would have waited to speak to them in-person because this is UNACCEPTABLE!! One of the pillows on our bed was dirty and to request a clean pillow. Also found empty shampoo bottle upon arriving to our room. Rooms are spacious, yet lack an area and good lighting to apply makeup. The only place to apply makeup was in poorly lit bathroom. a few days after our stay we realized we'd been charged by the hotel for our room. we had booked and paid for the room through Expedia. We contacted the hotel and were delighted they acknowledged the error and assured us our card would be credited. Understanding mistakes happen. We had no issue. Until four weeks passed and they had not credited our card. We contacted them again and are once again waiting for our card to be credited?! read more

The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, clean and has a great location but falls far short of Sheraton standards because of one unprofessional, dismissive and rude staff member. All was well until it came to how the night staff handled noisy neighbors. It was 11pm on a Sat night. I heard a lot of chatter and boisterous laughs. It got LOUDER and woke up my kids. I called the front desk thinking it might be upstairs or next door. 10 min later a loud speaker comes on and the music is clearly audible and the bass vibates our shared wall. I hear several groups passing our 2 rooms in the hall and knocking on the door which opens and slams shut several times with "Where's the party?" Lots of noise, yelling and expletives. Again I call and this time I say it's next door. Hotel staff warns them they are being too loud. At 11:40 the party gets LOUDER still. I decide to go downstairs myself to voice my concern and discuss any resolutions. The man on duty says you just called and I just talked to them 2 min ago. It was well longer than that. He was very curt and dismissive. When I expressed myself, he asked tersely and under his breath," Do you want me to call them again? You know I can't make them do anything." I asked for a transfer and asked who I may contact to address the current issue and compensation. He shrugs, "We're booked." I said "Don't' you have an occupancy limit and do you enforce quiet hours?" He looked very bothered and irritable. He gave me his general manager's card and said he would be available Monday. He hardly let me get any words out. He exasperatedly said " We're not getting anywhere going back and forth. You just want someone to yell at so I'm gonna get em for you." He walks off towards the stairs. I feel afraid knowing there are a lot of people in the room next to mine and my children, likely intoxicated. I called the police department. By this time it was midnight. When he realized what I was doing he started jeering at me and interjecting. Calling me ridiculous. Saying how would I feel if he called my boss. I represent my place of work well as a professional and would have no issue with them seeing this review- so I said go ahead and he rolled his eyes. Then he yelled "So you're going to call them for me doing my job? Oh, and YOU'RE GONNA GET THE BOOT!" Wow. I never raised my voice and he was being not only unhelpful but disrespectful to me. While I was waiting for the police, he came down the stairs and nastily and tauntingly said the party's broken up now you can get some sleep. What the staff member should have done is warn the party that they were going to get the boot if they needed a 3rd warning, which is procedure elsewhere from what I've read. He failed to effectively communicate and deescalate a situation. I called my husband down to wait with me as I felt uneasy. Before coming down, he counted 17, yes SEVENTEEN, people leave the room with other remained inside. Scotts Valley police responded. They spoke to him. I overheard him say "It's 11 on a Sat and they're coming from a wedding. " Like that makes it ok? Then the police spoke to me. Since the noise complaint was handled, the police advised that any issue I had with the staff member be brought to the hotel's attention. Appreciable action was only taken AFTER I called the police. A guest should not have to press anyone to perform their job. No one should feel unwelcome for undue cause at any hospitality establishment, especially the Sheraton. I felt unwelcome and condescended to. I was disrespected and felt threatened. The staff member had the audacity to address me this way when I was alone, not when anyone else was around to witness his horrid. intolerable attitude. He was a 6 foot white man and I am a 4 foot ten Asian woman to put things in perspective. . . No one should get yelled at but it's even worse with the stature disparity and customer service relationship. This is a bad look for business. People have bad days and situations, but that is no reason to act unprofessionally. His tone and demeanor were rude and condescending. When something is wrong, it must be pointed out. You have been warned. This is unacceptable and disappointing. I would suggest HR training in conflict resolution which would benefit all staff. Reading other reviews, weekend noise is not an isolated problem. Maybe advise of quiet hours in prominent places or authorize staff to offer something like breakfast if the issue can't be resolved right away. Most of all, being professional and hospitable, by practicing consideration and respect, goes a LONG way even in difficult situations. It costs nothing but means everything. The hotel itself is quite nice. Unfortunately, until the customer service issues are addressed through conflict resolution training of some kind, I cannot recommend this property and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I recently had my master bathroom renovation going on and I work Graveyard shift-basically when i get off work the construction began at my house making it impossible to sleep. Thank God for Hotel employees Cyrus and Lindsay , accommodated me to check in at 8am and check out around 8pm to go to work. Eventually i ended up just staying. Restaurant was poorly staffed. The food which was average took 45 minutes. Yogurt and berries, oatmeal, after 45 minutes we told them we were leaving and then it appeared. Many in our party, waited up to 2 hours after check in to get their room. The rooms were never cleaned. $360.00 night and no new towels or a bed made isn't acceptable. Just a few words (maybe too many) on our resent stay at Four Points Scott's Valley. First off, the facilities are very nice, first impressions were very welcoming, entryway is extremely grand and inspiring. However, within moments of walking through the front door is when it started. We made our way to the check in counter when things changed. Approximately a week or so earlier my wife made reservations and specifically requested an early check in for 2:00pm only because we drove quite a distance and needed a room to get ready for a wedding we were attending. The gal at the desk informed us that it would only a few minutes wait. Well... after sitting and waiting over an hour in the lobby in visual site of the check in counter I went to her to find out why it was taking so long for our room, keep in mind by this time we only had 30 minutes to make it to the wedding venue which was 12 minutes away, she had forgotten our name and why we were waiting (she obviously had brain fart). She gathered her thoughts and said she would check on a room and coming back a few minutes later saying it was finally ready. In the end, my assessment after sitting in the lobby for an hour and twenty minutes which was more than enough time to observe the employee members and hotel help which were in slow-motion mode (in other words, Lazy") the whole time we were there. My personal finding and suggestions would be that Four Points By Sheraton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley management needs to train/retain every staff member on hospitality and customer service or better yet Sheraton should consider getting new management to run this location. With this said my wife and I might stay here again and give you a second chance, but please be aware I/we will be watching carefully. Score: 1 Stars for staff and help 4.5 Stars for facilities and location. Thanks for hanging in there if you made it thus far. I stayed here for my best friends wedding, it seems that it was very hard for the front desk and manager Pete to get on the same story of excuses as to why our stay was so shitty. My friend asked for a microwave in her room at least 4 times and was told multiple different reasons as to why she couldn't have one. There was a screaming man in the room next to me threatening to beat whoever he was with. My sister in laws room magnet was somehow broken and she had to wait almost an hour to get let into her own room. The elevator sounded as if it was going to die any minute. When these were all brought up to the front desk/manager Pete Ramirez it wasn't a very heartfelt apology. Almost seemed as if it was my fault these things were happening in the hotel! LOL all in all the actual hotel was .. decent. The bedding was shit but the bathrooms was nice though the hallway carpet had popcorn on it the whole 2 days we were there. Stayed here for one night, with the government employee rate. Beautiful hotel with great amenities. There was ample parking in front as well as underground parking structure. Front desk staff were great and check in was a breeze. We had a two queen bedroom on the first floor, which had a great view of the courtyard and was close to the fitness center. The room itself was clean and spacious, had comfortable beds & plush bedding. There was a large dresser as well as lots of drawer space to store clothing and items. This is a really nice new hotel with an awesome space, well intentioned service and reasonable price Parking: I arrived close to 10pm and found plenty of parking in the basement lot. Hotel common areas: The hotel nails it on the design and doesnt compromise on feel. The furniture and finishes they use all around seem really nice. The lobby is spacious and gives a great warm vibe, unlike a lot of the newer "modern hotels" that seem too sterile and cheap. They have a really nice lobby bar area to hang out and there is a large courtyard with a ton of seating and fire pits for the colder months. Awesome common areas to hang out! Platinum Amenities: I was given an upgrade to a junior suite (room 362) and a breakfast voucher for the following morning for 2 in the small restaurant. This was the Monday of a long weekend. Room: The junior suite was one of the better rooms I've stayed in a while. It wasnt luxurious, but it was just so well done. The bathroom has a barn door that leads to a luxurious bathroom with granite countertops and a bathtub that wouldn't seem out of place in a W Hotel. A couple callouts include the oversized couch and the cute seating area with two chairs that overlook a gated door. I also had a great view to the outdoor firepit area. Service: The front desk agent was very nice and seemed enthusiastic, though not exactly polished. It was his first day on the job but he made do. He even hand delivered the breakfast voucher to my room since he forgot when checking me in. During breakfast, I told the server I was in a rush and he got my "Four Points Breakfast" out in less than 5 minutes. Great service all around. Everyone was pretty nice in general. Overall this was such an unexpectedly great stay. The hotel really impressed me on all levels as a Marriott platinum member. It's not a luxury hotel, but for a very reasonable price, you definitely get more than you pay for. Plus they have free coffee on the way out the door. read more

This is our first time staying in a Sheraton as we normally choose Marriott hotels but are very impressed ! Eric went above and beyond to accommodate our family room request for a room with a sofa sleeper and small fridge + microwave for our 3 night stay. Michael took time to research beach areas for my seaglass/seashell outing. It was a spacious room with 2 queen bed plus sofa bed. As it was on the first floor, it did have some lobby bar noise FYI. The gym had free weights, ellipticals, treadmills and a stationary bike. One thing we would have loved is a jacuzzi or a pool. The style and design is contemporary but warm and welcoming. Smart TVs allowed us to watch our Netflix, Hulu or regular TV channels. As Bonvoy members with status, we had a choice of points or breakfast for 2 each day. I'd stay here again next time I visit the area. Parking underground is free and plentiful. We arrived on Saturday and by Sunday afternoon there were less than 10 cars parked underneath. Outdoor parking is limited but it's not an issue. read more

We just completed our 3rd stay at this hotel over the past 6 months. We love it! The rooms have been consistently clean and spacious, the furnishings are very Restoration Hardware-ish, the bathrooms are spacious as are the showers, the staff is friendly, and parking is easy. It's also a nice escape from the crowded Santa Cruz scene. From a value perspective, this is our new go-to when visiting our child at UCSC. Some of the reviews mention lack of staff. The hotel is definitely not over-staffed, but we've never had an issue with unavailability of staff. They have been consistently pleasant and helpful. A room near the bar or lobby downstairs could be noisy, but there isn't generally a lot going on because of COVID, so noise hasn't been an issue for us. All in all, a nice place to stay when visiting the Santa Cruz area. We'll definitely be back! read more

Here is an update to my previous review. my insurance company called the hotel and was given the runaround with no answer available. I had contacted their corporate executive resolution number. The corporate rep, Judy (very nice), called and was completely blown off. She called me after the conversation and was very apologetic and said she had never dealt with a hotel staff so unwilling to accommodate a request like this. I spoke with the property manager the next morning and she stated that her policy was to not move items or people. We moved to the Hilton that day. It has been amazing. Excellent staff, excellent rooms and the pool is open. Less than a half mile and a world of service away. Stay at the Hilton! Avoid the Four Points like the plague. read more

Disappointing experience in a relatively new hotel. The Good - Large room with modern bath and large walk-in shower. Free WiFi (but doesn't everybody?) Ample free parking in underground garage with elevator access to upper floors. Large & clean room. Wide doors for easy wheelchair access. Normal amenities - small refrigerator, coffee-maker, many USB charge ports, desk, TV, iron & board, hair-dryer, ample clothes storage. Close freeway access. The Bad - We booked a king bed but got 2 queens. Temperature range was locked on thermostat, couldn't get room warm. Bland decor to point of drab. 2 small "art works" on walls. Utterly sterile and spartan environment. Distressed furniture to give impression of historied past. One end-table for 2 queen beds. Very dark with worst lamps and room lighting I have ever experienced. Not well insulated walls between rooms; had to listen to loud neighbors and TV into the am. "Toe-breaker" surround bed frames; not a good idea when feeling your way around in a strange room at night. At $250/night, breakfast is not included. We have stayed at numerous hotels in this area over the years but this will not be one of them in the future. read more

Definitely not pedestrian friendly. I'm here for 4 days and the worst 4 days at that, Sunday-Wednesday. I'm without a car, there are no restaurants within half a mile. What's worse? This hotel offers no breakfast, free or paid service. This really burns me up - otherwise I'd probably leave a better review. Room I'm in is spacious and clean, though I could really use one of those folding stands to put my suitcase on. I guess they don't believe in those things here. The bathroom is nice, with the biggest shower I've ever seen. Somehow the walls seem thin, or else my neighbor is deaf because I've been hearing his TV all night. I'll be glad when this week is over, because Scott's Valley is no Santa Cruz. read more

The hotel is very nice and modern. There is a bar in the lobby. They have a snack bar at the front desk to purchase food snacks or drinks. I stayed in room 117 for 1 night with my hubby. I'm always honest when giving my feedback on my experience. The room was nice, clean, spacious and the bed was comfy. However the room was on the main floor, which I requested to be on top floor level 10 days in advance and my request wasn't accommodated. Our room was right across from the fitness room so I got woken up earlier than I wanted which sucked for me. And there was also a extra $3 surcharge added to my booking. So to sum it up great hotel nice rooms, but if your sensitive to noise like me avoid the main floor and any rooms near the fitness center. read more

I am "Titanium Elite" on the Bonvoy program and average over 100 nights a year in Marriott properties and this is the first negative review I have posted. This is a potentially great hotel but is currently not meeting some basic standards. The rooms are great, beds comfortable, and staff generally friendly, but several problems make it an exceptionally poor customer experience: First the water system doesn't work! Three minutes into your shower you will lose ALL water pressure and wait a few minutes for it to return, only to lose it again a few minutes later. Second their staffing is completely inadequate so not only is there no maintenance person to fix problems but no maids to clean your room when you ask for it. (I'm staying for several weeks and only request service every couple of days, but have waited as many as three days to get the requested service!) Third, despite being a "full service" brand hotel the kitchen is only open for breakfast 2 days a week and for dinner 5 nights a week. I could go on! TLDR: way overpriced and way off-brand! read more

This hotel gets 5 stars for cleanliness and customer service. I love how many of the rooms have little balconies that overlook the back patio that has several fire pits. This is a great place to stay right outside Santa Cruz with a solid selection of restaurants just a mile away. My room was so clean and smelled great. The shower is very spacious and the rooms are quite large! Dimetrio (spelling?) had the BEST customer service and he should get a raise! Very attentive to the door and extremely hospitable with guest needs. Improvements: I wish I had a mini fridge in my room and a microwave, but there is a microwave near the front desk. The shower heads would be better placed on a different wall, or adding more of a door to the shower since water sprayed freely outside of the shower itself. Other than that, it was great! read more

RUN!!! If you are thinking about staying here... DON'T!! We paid $800 for two nights in a "King suite" and here's what we got. Two nights of no body wash in the shower, no maid service (I even had to go get my own tp from the front desk), a used bar soap left for us in the shower...oh and the bathroom sink backs up after 5 seconds of the water flowing. When we asked about the old soap, the front desk said they always leave the old soap so they don't throw away a bar a day. I asked for new soap and they said they were out and the shipment would arrive the next day. No soap ever made it to our room. The water in the shower stopped flowing about 8 minutes into my wife's shower and my daughter still has shampoo in her hair. First, Pete Ramirez did not honor our reservation of all the patio rooms for our wedding party, and my 94-year-old mother did not get an adjacent room as promised which compromised her monitor. Second, the hotel booked a tree trimming company and between their private vehicles and work vehicles there was no parking in the evening (including their suggested overflow parking which was a filled up park and ride lot next door) - putting our car out on the street blocks away. Third, upon check-in there was no mention of a breakfast voucher so many of our party just skipped breakfast (there is a $10 voucher if you ask for it at the desk). Fourth, many rooms had no hot water. Fifth, they sold mac and cheese that had gone bad (frozen and thawed too many times) and wouldn't refund the cost. Sixth, towels were less fuzzy than any I'd ever used before and bottom bedsheets for convertible sofas were quilted making the lousy pull out beds even more uncomfortable. read more

I was there few weeks ago and i had an okey experience there. we spend a good amount of money for 2 nights and they didn't even bother to give us enough soap or coffee or other stuffs which we deserve for 2 days. I understand the COVID-19 and all that but this was so much extra dramatic behavior. they literally opened the hotel making hella money and can not provide us enough stuffs which we deserve. next time i will try some other hotel. read more

I arrived at 11pm and was quickly checked in by a nice gentleman. I had a corner room (rm121) I believe. It was huge. Lots of space. Two Queen beds. Neither really super comfy but I think I just wanted my own bed. Room was clean. The television remote was very finicky. The bathroom was nice, although I did have trouble with the shower. Lots of buttons and was difficult to get the right temperature. The last night the lobby was crazy busy and very loud. I could hear everything from my room. Eventually things calmed down and I was able to sleep. Just remember if you're stay on the ground floor it can get loud! I did not use the fitness room nor the pool. It was just a place to lay my head and night and relax. It was a quick and super easy drive into Santa Cruz, Capitola and Aptos. I would stay again, but I'd ask for a higher room. read more

We are currently staying at this hotel and are completely frustrated with their front desk staff. When we checked in last night there was a LARGE party going on in the lobby watching the fights. The gentleman who checked us in was apologetic, promised the party would be over by 9:30pm, and even offered complimentary drink vouchers (we don't drink so we didn't take them but appreciated the gesture). On top of loud party, they explained that the king room we had a reservation for had been given away since they were overbooked and all that was left was a 2 queen room... right by the loud party. Frustrated, but tired, we felt we had no other recourse at the time, and decided to try to get some sleep (with the help of a very loud sound machine to attempt to drown out the party that didn't end until 1am!) The following morning before we left for the day we asked the front desk if we could swap rooms to another floor to 1) avoid noise and 2) get the king room we reserved. They told us they couldn't promise anything until other folks checked out so that they knew what was available. They asked us to check back after we got back to the hotel and they could help us then. After a long day, we returned to the hotel and asked the front desk if they were at capacity for the night and if there were any king rooms available. They told us that they have plenty available, so we explained the situation and asked to change rooms. They refused (even though they have rooms available) and got very rude about things blaming US for not asking to change rooms when their cleaning crew was available. They said it was our fault for accepting a room we didn't really want in the first place and told us we should have refused the rooms if we weren't happy with them in the first place. What?!?!?? It was all they had left! Fortunately I ended up taking video of how incredibly rude and unprofessional Miguel and Leona were. After going back and forth for a while about why they refused to give us the rooms we reserved (and instead gave them to people behind us checking in since they had "a new reservation") they accused us of being intoxicated (remember the voucher situation from above? We don't drink) they kept going in circles as to why they wouldn't just give us the rooms we reserved. We asked to speak to their manager since they weren't making sense and they handed us a card of someone we could call tomorrow. We check out tomorrow. Ugh! Super unhelpful! Why even make reservations?? Don't bother making reservations for this place. Best case scenario they'll take your money but won't give you what you reserved, worst case there will be an all night party going on right outside your door. What a disappointing stay! And even more disappointing customer service. read more

If you want to stay at a hotel where you are treated incredibly rudely by the staff this is your place! We had to stay in a hotel in the area for 6 months while renovating a house. The staff knew this. It was as if that made them Ruder toward my husband son & I. There was one good manager - a man- who seemed to understand the rudeness was unacceptable- but he was only there in the daytime. We switched to the Hilton in Scotts Valley after 3 months and could not be happier. read more

A great hotel to stay in Scotts Valley. First time to Scotts Valley. We were driving through and needed a place to stay for the night. Glad we chose this place. There is limited parking in front of the hotel but there is additional parking under the hotel. The check in was easy. The staff was friendly. The hotel is very nice inside and very convenient. The room was excellent. It had a wonderful bed, a good layout and a very nice bathroom. I would highly recommend this place for anyone needing a place to stay in this area. read more
