This is a review of the restaurant/lounge. After driving all day we checked into our room and went to the lounge area for a light snack and an adult beverage. Sasha our server was absolutely amazing!! She was so helpful and made sure everything was perfect! We ordered buffalo wings which were delicious and tender. They were not too spicy. We also ordered hummus and veggies with pita. My goodness such a large serving! We were able to take leftovers to our room and put in the refrigerator for tomorrow's snack! The lounge is beautiful. So classy looking with all the black accents. The booth even had a pillow to make it more comfy to sit. The lounge had several people but even with soccer on it wasn't loud. Very relaxing for sure! Looking at the posters in the elevator, every night there is something on special at the restaurant. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner too! read more

Very friendly staff, in a modern, clean, new property. There are many businesses rooms or ballrooms for receptions downstairs; upstairs the rooms are sunny and nicely decorated. Breakfast is from 06:30-11:00, and includes not only a Continental breakfast for those with lighter appetites, but omelettes or eggs cooked to order for those who prefer it. read more

A few good things to share - Carolina in the bar was friendly and attentive; Venisha at front desk also helpful. Improvement needed: Chicken sandwich was dry and appeared to be chicken strips and not a chicken breast. The lights under the 'canopy' never worked despite my mentioning it several times over three nights. I was told, "The breaker must have tripped, Maintenance will have to fix it". It is extremely dangerous to walk from a well-lit parking lot to a dark entrance that spans 30 feet. The king size bed in room 2010 needs to be replaced--it was THE WORST hotel bed I have ever slept on. Lighting in the bedroom and bathroom also needs to be enhanced, as it was very dark despite all window shades open and lights on. read more

For the pricing, this was an excellent location to stay with my kids while we toured Niagara Falls. I chose this location due to the pricing (about $120 Canadian per night) and proximity to Niagara Falls (10 miles). The room, 1 bedroom with 2 queen size beds and a living room with a pullout couch. The pool was smaller than expected, the breakfast was an extra fee, and there is now. And, there is now a $5 per night parking fee. read more

I stayed at this hotel on a Sunday during Thanksgiving weekend and it was completely deserted. The main atrium was nice with high ceilings and fancy lighting. The restaurant in the lobby was closed due to Covid. Check-in was quick. It looked like a makeshift desk than a proper hotel check-in desk. We got a room on the third floor. The room was spacious with two queen-sized beds in one room, one bathroom with stand-up shower, and a separate living room with a couch, TV, desk, microwave and fridge. I wanted to like this room/hotel, but there were a few major faults. #1 - the glass shower doors didn't close, they kept on sliding towards the center. I had to call maintenance to come and fix it. Honestly, the hotel was probably at 1% capacity, if even that, could they not have inspected the rooms before giving customers the room key? Next, and the most important, was the bedding and pillows. Both were horrendous. My body ached after sleeping on the soft lumpy bed and pillows that had next to no fillings in it. I travel quite a lot and have stayed at other Four Points hotels, and this, by far, is the worst one I've been to. read more

I give this hotel 3 1/2 stars. The rooms were comfortable and roomy, but the bathroom was far from clean. There was mold in our shower, rusty dirt in the corners where the shower meets the floor, and gross mold on the corners underside of the Undermount sink. read more

This is a beautiful hotel! Our family stayed here recently for a hockey tournament. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. There was a separate bedroom with its own TV and another TV in the living room, which also contained a fold out couch if you needed it. It had a small kitchenette with a small fridge and coffee maker. The hotel also offers free coffee as you are leaving in the mornings. The lobby is beautiful, with open space where you can see access to the elevators on all the floors. I took a few minutes (maybe half an hour) to myself to sit in the lobby area across from reception as the sun was setting. There were couches surrounding another TV; with a carpet underfoot. This hotel gets quite busy! Although there is a double door going outside, these doors do not block the wind very well; it was quite chilly outside and these doors let in the cold air. The staff was friendly and helpful, and always busy! While we were there, they took down Christmas decorations - One minute it's Chrismas, and suddenly it was so clean and tidy it was like a completely different weekend! Very quick and efficient. The lobby is nice and wide open. Beyond the elevators, is the restaurant. We needed somewhere easy and close to get dinner one night, and had the restaurant to ourselves. It ended up being a good thing too, as we had some 15 people all at one table. We got good service, and tasty food (and good beer!) The one downer for me was the chemical smell that seemed to permeate everywhere; not sure what they were using to clean the floors (only constantly because of the weather), but you could smell it all the time. And I don't know if it's all of Thorold / St Catharine's, or what, but there's way too much chlorine in the running tap water. read more

This is maybe a two star hotel at 4 star prices. In the area stay at The Stone Mill Inn or White Oaks. The hotel is so old. It smells. The drapes are so short the light comes under. Old analog TV's. Dirty carpet. Quoted $179 which was too high but they changed to $209 st check in. Asked for adjustment. They said no. Asked the a Mgr. She said current price is $184. Really. Now we are arguing over $5. How is that for customer Service. read more

We walked into the lobby and instantly a warm greeting from the Front Desk staff, Karen, Jill & Kevin introduced themselves as we were checked into our room and made aware of the surrounding area, they made us feel like family. Our room was warm & beautiful, even had a fireplace glowing with heat. The bed was comfortable and inviting and the whirlpool tub was much needed after a long day of travel. Lisa in the restaurant was another ambassador to the hotel and local area, she offered us the menu and specials including local Beers & Wines to complement our meal, everything was Great, until we ordered the Flowerless Chocolate Cake for desert. Now this was Perfect and even Over The Top. Thank you Four Points by Sheraton ! If you are ever in the area, this hotel knows how to treat their guests. read more

WOW. We decided to stay in this hotel for the Canada day weekend because all other hotels were fully booked, or crazy expensive. Since it looked like a dated hotel, I personally did not expect much but boy was I wrong. Rooms: -All rooms are suites, whether 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom they can fit an entire family or even two. (My family of 6 fit in the 1 bedroom suite comfortably) -Extremely comfortable beds and the kitchenette had a convenient microwave, mini fridge and sink. -Bathrooms were better than some other hotels I've stayed in surprisingly, although the outdated lights took a while to turn on full blast. Atmosphere: -Hotel is close enough to the tourist towns ( i.e Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls were both 15 minute drives) but far enough from the craziness of it all. -Staff were extremely friendly and made us feel like we were at home, especially Karen in their restaurant who was the best and friendliest waitress I've ever met and truly has a passion for serving. -Gym is not the greatest, but sufficient for a good workout and never had more than 3 people in it. -Pool seemed a little small, but again sufficient for a good swim. -Restaurant serves DELICIOUS steaks, everything else was delicious but just ok/ -FREE WIFI! I've found that most hotels in the Niagara region don't have this luxury, but this hotel did and it was surprisingly fast, even from the top floor. Overall, this hotel is definitely worth a visit if you are visiting the Niagara region. Will definitely go back. read more

Going to Niagara Falls and looking for a dog friendly hotel? It was a bit of a struggle for me to find a hotel that would accept us without staying at a grungy motel where my kidneys might get stolen and sold on the black market. I'm grateful to have found this hotel, located right in the middle between Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls. It was a 20 minute drive to the wineries, and about 15 mins to Niagara Falls. Dog must be kept in a crate (we used a pen) if left alone. The SPG customer service was impeccable and she helped me book this hotel over the phone. She even suggested having the hotel help book the itinerary for the weekend. Upon arrival, they greeted us and gave us dog treats. I was told over the phone that there are only a few suites that are dog friendly so I'd have to take a room with two double beds but I was actually upgraded to a king bed suite. I'm sure my gold status helped, but it was still a very nice gesture. The suite was nice and had a separate living area and a standard bedroom and bathroom. Looks like there's a bit of pet hair left from previous guests, but as a pet owner I feel that is understandable. The room did not smell like dog and the bed felt fresh and clean. The hotel front desk was very friendly when I was there, but they weren't so helpful with actually booking the itinerary. Someone e-mailed about the wine tours, but when I asked for more information I did not receive a response. It was Canada's Day long weekend so I'm sure they were busy. read more

I came here for vacation and was happy to find that this place was pet friendly. Yay! Love when my pup doesn't have any issues going on vacation with me. Price range was ok. The rooms were a bit dated and the beds were a little uncomfortable. We had a little bit of an ant issue but everytime we talked to the front desk they switched our rooms and apologized. Overall stay was good but was expecting a more modern or updated look. I did enjoy the location (except the college in the next lot). I am rarely moved to comment favourably on hotel accommodation, however my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by this establishment. We booked for a one night stay, as we were moving to the area and were looking for somewhere that would accept our dog and cat. We arrived late, due to the closure of the Burlington bridge and were feeling a bit frazzled at the end of a hectic day, as our possessions were loaded on the moving truck. We were pleased to find we had a nice suite, clean and well appointed. Room service and the restaurant were open until 11pm. We opted for the latter and again were very pleased by the qualify of the dishes we chose. All the staff with whom we had contact were very pleasant and efficient. Recommended. read more

Stayed here for a wedding at a winery. All rooms have a living room with TV, couch, eating table, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and bar sink. Great place to stay when hanging out with friends. The food at the cafe was TERRIBLE and the service was slower than slow! I couldn't figure out how to get the maid to stop banging on our door in the morning even though I put a "Do not disturb" sign on our door every night. Bath products could use an upgrade. Hotel is very clean and the front desk staff very pleasant. The room was comfortable. The reason for the low stars, the pool is in a room that felt like a sauna. The bartender in the restaurant was not very friendly. Ordered food from the restaurant downstairs and they wanted $30 to deliver it to the room. We picked it up instead. We should have left it there. The food was so bad. The Poutine was fries with cheese and French onion soup on top. The Caesar Salad tasted like lettuce with mayonnaise on it. On top of all of that is was super expensive. Would have given a higher rating if the restaurant was even halfway decent. read more

Stayed here with the family for the weekend. Hotel was nice. They allowed dogs for $20 per night. We did not tried the restaurant. Hotel was close to the falls and the outlets. We stayed here on a recent vacation to Niagara Falls area. This hotel was a ways away from Niagara - maybe 15 minutes? But it was a quieter area which we appreciated. The room was nice - we got a suite. We were disappointed that they didn't have room service. We ate at the restaurant downstairs a few times and we did not enjoy their food. Service was friendly but the restaurant was nearly empty on a Friday night- we soon discovered why. The food was just okay. I have to say the breakfast buffet was underwhelming. The coffee tasted like hot water. It was terrible. Husband got the breakfast buffet but was not enthused about the food quality. Supposedly this is the fresh produce area in Canada but we didn't see much of that on the buffet or menu. Parking was ample, grounds were okay. Campus nearby so a McDonalds was close by. Hotel was clean, pool is nice and they take pets which was great. If the food had been better, we would have been happier with the hotel overall. read more

My wife and I stayed overnight in early June. We had fantastic weather and took advantage of the outdoor patio for dinner. Service was great, food was hot and did not disappoint. I had a grilled veggie wrap and asked for some spice. The waiter indicated they prepare their own jalapeño peppers and would have them added to my wrap. It was fantastic. The patio was full at 8:30. There was a duo on drums and acoustic guitar entertaining us with hits from the 70s and 80s mostly. They were relaxing to listen to. Great meal, atmosphere and service. I forgot my wall plug for my iPhone, the desk sent one up immediately. We had fruit punch available at check in. We used the pool and hot tub, both were clean and expected temperatures. The fitness room was used by five different people that I saw and appeared to be more than adequate with many options for your work out. The hotel is on Brock University's front door. There is a Timmy's and Mickey D's within walking distance (2 mins). A large Mall with the usual suspects is a five minute drive away. Our room was a suites with two double beds. Old TV's, no iPhone or android alarm to drop your phone in. Rooms clean and adequate (mini fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker), just dated a bit. I would return! read more

Our experience with the Four Points Sheraton St. Catharines was absolutely terrible to say the least. We will never be recommending this hotel to anyone, nor will we ever stay at the hotel again. We have never experienced such poor customer service from someone who was supposed to be the Coordinator for group bookings. The purpose of our stay was for our wedding. We originally set up the group block with a different coordinator (Jen) back in the fall of 2015. The initial set up of the wedding block was smooth and Jen was very helpful. We were given a certain amount of rooms on our block (we initially asked for more), but were told we could always add on to the number once we filled the first block of rooms. We decided to do our rehearsal dinner at the Four Points as well and Jen was very helpful with that. It wasn't until the spring of 2016 that I found out Jen no longer worked at the Four Points and Elizabeth took over for her. With our wedding being in September, we sent out our invitations at the end of May. As our guests started calling to book rooms, we were informed that they were unable to book and were being told that the hotel was sold out. We immediately called to figure things out and try to resolve this matter, seeing as we were expecting approximately 200 guests at our wedding. From the start, there was a huge disconnect from what the reservation department was telling us and our guests, and what the hotel staff was saying. Booking rooms was way more complicated than it needed to be. We spoke with Elizabeth directly, and she indicated that there were still rooms available on our block, but the hotel was sold out because they had booked a tournament in the hotel for the same weekend. After we begged and pleaded, she did give us a few more rooms because we hadn't even booked in our wedding party at the hotel yet. This was the start of our frustrations with the Four Points because we were initially told we could add rooms onto our block. Thank god we made a back up wedding block at the Comfort Inn (a hotel that we WILL recommend to guests in the future!). Every time we had to interact with Elizabeth she was extremely rude. One week before our wedding she told us "We don't like having wedding blocks here", even though they advertise for weddings on their website. Which brings me to our next point. On the Four Points St. Catharines website there is a page indicating you can earn points for Wedding Blocks. Specifically it says "Wedding Rooms = Free night awards for you". When we called to inquire about this we were told two things. One, that our contract was made up before this deal was put into place. Two, that we didn't qualify because we were only having a rehearsal dinner and wedding block at the hotel, not our actual wedding. NOWHERE on the page does it state this offer is only for those having weddings at the hotel. Secondly, we had a total of 28 rooms booked in the hotel (we would have had more if they allowed that), plus 30 guests attending our rehearsal dinner. Our event alone brought the hotel a lot of money, yet they wouldn't honor what they were advertising and provide us with points toward free stays. Technically, we should have earned enough points for AT LEAST a free 2 night stay. Yet they wouldn't even offer us ONE night. Finally, on our wedding day there was a verbal altercation with Elizabeth. She was rude and raising her voice. It was absolutely disgusting. For someone who is a "manager of group sales", it is pathetic the way she treats her guests. read more

I've stayed here frequently on my trips to wine country. A SPG member, I like to take advantage of my bonus points and have become acclimatized to the supreme comfort of the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed. This hotel may lack new flat screen tvs and the décor may be mildly dated but it offers a comfort factor with large suites that can be had for the price of a regular hotel room = major bonus. Even when it's crowded it maintains a quiet factor that is second to none and the staff always remain friendly and thoughtful. The Piazza Pasta and Wine Bar offers fresh local foods among its selections and aims to please the budget traveller with good value specials. My butternut squash ravioli was divine and the Big K enjoyed a tender steak. This hotel also caters to pets and if you wish to treat yourself has an on-site spa with very reasonable prices. Close to Niagara Falls, just up the hill from downtown St Catharines and a good neighbour to Brock University, it's close enough but just tucked away from everything to be a very nice place to stay. read more

We chose this hotel for our recent family trip to the Niagara Falls area with family. We wanted a place that would be big enough for the two families -- 4 adults and 4 young kids. This 4 Points fit the bill as it had suites to fit us all in one room, thereby saving us over getting two separate rooms. In fact all the rooms here are suites. Overall our stay was fine. No complaints and nothing exceptional. The two double beds in the bedroom were wonderful, but the pull out sofa bed was atrocious. Good thing only the kids slept on it! The kitchenette was certainly on the small side, but let us have breakfast in the room. The location is a little out of the way. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the falls, so it may not be the best bet for tourists like us. It's not even really near anything else -- it's located in an office park. If we were in Niagara again with a bunch of people we might stay here again, nut otherwise we would try to be closer to the main attraction. read more

We had a very pleasant stay at the Four Points. We've been at several Four Points before in other cities and have never been disappointed. The suite was nice and clean and staff is always nice and professional. Furniture was a little outdated but you can tell they maintain the place very well and you aren't scared to walk barefoot on their carpet. Everything is very clean! read more

Nice hotel suite with a separate sitting room Nothing special The beds were clean and comfortable The room was clean but a bit dated We chose this Sheraton as we were there for family reasons and had to be in the area This was also a quick ride to see Niagara Falls I booked this room on a Mon as a non confirmed room&was able to call back the next day&get a better rate when I prepaid I should've asked to upgrade to a larger suite They list a 2 bed/2 bathroom suite,but by the day of check in,although they did have many available,it was nearly $80 a more per night as compared to appx $15 if I'd booked the larger suite with the confirmation One problem that was quite bothersome was that as a family we arrived in 2 vehicles,so I called ahead to let them know that the other vehicle MAY arrive 1st,which it did,but they were NOT ALLOWED to check in as I had the credit card with me Again one of those easy to remedy situations IF ONLY someone had told you when you call ahead of time We did stay in to dine The restaurant&food are just okay The room service leaves a lot to be desired It was 2 barely cooked pieces of bacon 1 slice of toast cut in 1/2 Eggs that I think were supposed to be scrambled but looked more like cheese strings&2 tiny pieces of the green part of a watermelon With coffee cost appx $22 The coffee we made in the in-room coffee maker was actually an awful lot better! read more

We enjoyed our stay of 4 days. Everything the indicated they had on their website was in fact in the hotel and all of the amenities worked and were managed well. We used the business center to check email / print our boarding passes. We used the hot tub which had working jets, timer, and got super hot. We used the pool as well. Also the restaurant / bar was great especially for hotel food, we were quite impressed. Also the front staff was nice and the cleaning staff was very friendly and super friendly if we needed anything. In terms of the rooms they were spacious and the noise level was very low between room to rooms. The hallway noise does somewhat come into the room but not enough to bother us or most people i would think. The fridge/kitchen space was a good size. Also you can walk across the street to a tim hortons restaurant and a McDonald's which is cool. Your minutes from the major highway and only 20 minutes from Niagara falls / clifton hills area (lots of fun stuff). In the morning they offer free coffee/tea/hotwater and also give you 1 free bottle of water per day (anything free in this world must be mentioned) We enjoyed our stay here and if we ever stay in this area again we'll definitely be back at this hotel. read more
