4 stars Stayed here for 2 nights on a work trip. Overall, the stay was good; however, one night I found 2 bugs in the bathroom. The hotel seemed clean, but bugs that looked like roaches do not make someone feel comfortable. Positives - I was able to get an early check in. There is a water bottle filling machine on the first floor. The vending area (sodas and snacks) has very reasonable prices. The gentleman at the front desk, Dan, was the nicest hotel clerk I have ever encountered. Overall, the hotel was fairly clean. The towels and bathroom amenities were great quality. The WiFi worked great. See pic: Large (used) trash bag by elevator trash cans - the large bag is provided in room for ease of keeping the room clean and disposing of larger items. This is a great idea being the hotel is next to a sports facility. I can imagine this would help families clean up properly behind themselves! There was also a notice that they are upgrading the tvs to being "smart". While this didn't happen during my stay, it's a positive for future guests! Negatives - The bugs on my first night. The breakfast buffet was just meh. Although there is plenty to choose from, the first day the cheddar egg omelette was old and hard to cut through (breakfast at 7:30am), both days the yogurt was kept in a basket (dairy should be kept on ice), the waffle maker didn't cook all the way through (and no spray to help get the waffle out, so the outer part that was cooked stuck to the waffle maker), and by 7:30 on day 2 they were out of quite a bit of the fresh fruit (the only healthy option). The temperature in the room was hard to control - it doesn't let you select air or heat. 73 was cold air, 74 was like a full blown heater on blast. read more

Overall was a decent stay. Everyone was friendly and inviting. Room was clean and stocked. Only issue I had was the doors are extremely loud when someone just lets them slam closed. And the pup would bark like a fool when they did. read more

Breakfast was ended at 9:30 by the person who worked there talk to the manager and she said oh no no we're gonna open till 10 but I said your man is telling everybody breakfast is closed so very poor communication the night staff was great too bad. We have stayed at this hotel many many times . It is clean , the rooms are nice , we really like the breakfast and it's close to the university . The front desk staff has always been so so. With the exception of a couple of people , the front desk staff never says good morning or Hello and are very unwelcoming . But this time around I needed to write a review because the service was really lacking . We stayed three nights . The sign in the bathroom clearly states that the rooms are cleaned every other day . At the end of the third day (we checked in SAT and now it was MON) we came home at night and found the room had been untouched . We called downstairs and all we got was that we had to ask for it to be cleaned . No apology no accommodation nothing . And if this was really the policy they should have stated it to us when we signed in . But again the sign in the bathroom stated that it was every other day . But nothing. so we asked for new towels to be brought up . An hour later we were still waiting so we had to call again and at that point it was done .Even if it was a mistake and it was overlooked ​ the way the staff apologizes and acknowledges the mistake can make a huge difference. The hotel is nice, has a regular Hampton feel. Check in time is 4PM, where most Hamptons go by 3. We had hoped to get a bit of a early check in, so we could use the pool before we had to leave for our 5PM appointment. Unfortunately that was no option. They didn't seem to be really busy (not that many cars in the parking lot), but it took until 4:20 before we could check in. The room was nice and spacious. Even though not marked as a handicapped room, the door seemed wider than a standard door, the bathroom seemed to gave enough space for a wheelchair. Breakfast was standard Hampton with scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, toast, waffle batter, yoghurt. It seems bacon has been eliminated from the Hampton breakfast; we didn't see any bacon at our last 4 or 5 stays at different Hamptons. read more

Beautiful hotel, but extremely disappointing front desk experience The Hampton Inn Buffalo-Williamsville itself is absolutely lovely. The property is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the pool area looked spotless and inviting. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the quality of the accommodations. When I called the front desk for information about the area, the woman who answered -- Andrea -- immediately sounded irritated to even be taking the call. Her tone was dismissive and condescending, and when I tried to stay polite and ask if someone else might be available to help, she simply shut the conversation down. After speaking with several other guests in town for the same wedding, it turned out I wasn't alone -- no one had a positive interaction with the same front desk employee. In person, she came across as slow, disinterested, and even complained (loudly enough for my daughter to hear) about children waiting quietly in the lobby. To be clear, this review is not a reflection of the hotel's amenities, which are excellent. However, the front desk sets the tone for the entire stay, and Andrea's rude and entitled behavior leaves a very poor first impression. It's unfortunate, because this is otherwise a beautiful property I would have gladly returned to -- but given the experience at check-in, I'll be staying elsewhere next time. read more

One of the best hotels my family has stayed at in quite a while! Great location between Buffalo and Niagara Falls and across the street from UB campus. Very nice spread for the free breakfast with plenty of fruits, eggs, bread, meats etc. Every employee we encountered from front desk to breakfast crew were super friendly and made our stay accommodating. Rooms were nice and spacious, shower was great with high water pressure. We were here in January when it was fairly dead so the place was really quiet. I can't promise it'll always be like that but was fantastic during our stay. Highly recommend read more

Multiple loud groups of kids running up and down hallways unsupervised ; playing hockey etc. My door was improperly hung so there was a space under the door through which you could see the hall and the deadbolt could not be locked. This is a hotel that is on par with a $60/night motel on the side of the road , not a $200 a night hotel. Very disappointing . read more

We were hoping we could check in a bit earlier than the 4 p.m. check in time, perhaps use the pool... I called at 11:30 and was told nothing available yet; call back in two hours. At 2:00, our room was still not available, but we were told to come out in about 1/2 hour and it might be ready. We arrived about 2:45. It is now 4:20 and we are finally checked in. The room is very nice. It is not labeled as a handicapped room, but the doorway and the shower were extra wide with no step to step over to get into the shower. Perhaps all hotel rooms are becoming handicap-accessible? Breakfast was nice, nothing out of the ordinary( scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, waffle batter, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cold and hot cereal). I did encounter a problem checking out. The woman at the desk was unable to pull up my bill. After several phone calls, it was one made by Hilton Honors back to this hotel that finally got the correct bill sent to me. It took 10 emails! I really wanted to give this hotel 3 1/2 stars for this visit. read more

Having done my homework and learned that this was a relatively new hotel with great reviews, I looked forward to my stay. I will start with the spoilers in telling you the best features of the hotel are its proximity to the softball fields and its fitness center. The breakfast offering also knocked it out of the park. We were here for a softball tournament and had played at this location before. However, there were no local hotels at that time so it was certainly nice that they put one in here. Our check in was incredibly quick . My husband took care of checking in while I barely had time to get a luggage cart and return to their car. I love it when it is that simple. One luggage trip and an elevator ride up to the room and we were settled in. The room was as advertised with coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, and a nice size TV. The restroom facilities were actually gorgeous and the shower head was awesome with its variety of settings. The only downside for me was the fact that the beds and furniture took up so much room that I could not do yoga in the room. The good news is that when I went down to the fitness center to both take online yoga course and also record my yoga class, I was the only one there. Everything worked out. The beds were fine and my husband and I both slept pretty well. I did not spend a whole bunch of time in the room but the Wi-Fi worked well enough to allow me to keep in touch with work and also entertain myself on my laptop. The fitness center was incredible with ellipticals, treadmills, free weights and other hard core weight lifting equipment and apparatus. I spent a good amount of time here both working out and doing yoga. I rarely was alone so I was happy there were so many options as I never had to wait to use what I wanted to. The final area that I can review is the excellent breakfast offering. I am low maintenance in require only fresh fruit, yogurt, and coffee. Needless to say I was quite pleased and had a great breakfast every morning as I grabbed it on the go. Absolutely no complaints about this hotel and I would stay here again in a heart beat. I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering booking a room. read more

Desk staff was kind. The hotel itself has outdated rooms. We ended up in a handicap accessible room and I reported that one toilet seat plastic bracket (that attaches it to the bowl) was completely broken. As someone who grew up traveling with a parent in a wheelchair, that was not okay. I cannot for the life of me figure out how housekeeping would have missed that when supposedly cleaning between guests? Some sort of music played all night long from the hotel we believe, and we were right above the lobby. It was like trying to sleep at that traffic light where someone pulls up with their radio base pounding. It's okay but we'll never stay there again. read more

We stayed here for one night, it totally fully booked. When we walk in, nobody at reception, wait it a while, the guy came out. Check in was easy, and he is friendly. This is obviously a new hotel, the window shade is modern, it uses two layer of shades, one white one grey, in the evening, i put down the grey shades, it almost blocked out all the lights, we didn't woke up until 8am the next morning! The shower glass door construction is really solid and heavy, it's a walk in shower, very nice. The designer is very considerate to put the water switch on the other side of wall where the shower head is located, so guest can turn water on without walk into the shower to wait for the water to turn warm. That works perfect for me. I had a wonderful stay here. Perfect! read more

Arrived late at night and the host was wonderful. I was given a quiet room of which I appreciated. The rooms are clean and have a modern kinda of retro feel. I was happy with my bed, kinda firm but comfortable. Very happy to have microwave, fridge and sitting area with a view of the highway. I didn't notice much traffic or noise. I love the complimentary breakfast which was basic for take and go. Free parking and overall no problem s.. oh yeah temperature in rooms is controllable but doesn't seem to stay on very long . read more

After research on surrounding hotels Hampton Inn met our family of 4 desires and the need for a clean, pet free, non-smoking environment. The hotel, which is located across from the University of Buffalo, is beautiful, clean, quiet, has friendly staff, provides breakfast, and has snacks and souvenirs for purchase. The hotel is about 20 mins from the US side of Niagara Falls which was very easy to find via GPS. Our room faced a sports complex and we were able to catch a few softball games! We were pleased with our stay. read more

Went to America for a small shopping trip with my family and we stayed in this hotel. The rooms are nice looking, and the beds were very comfortable! The man who checked us in, Dan, was very polite and very nice. Me, my sister and my mom went downstairs at about 10 to get something to drink and while we were paying Dan gave us free Swedish fish and pretzels! Had a nice stay and I wouldn't mind staying here again at all. read more

If I wanted sleezy motel quality, I would have paid and stayed at a "M6". Last year my kids found a used hypodermic needle in the chair. Management changed and we gave them another chance this year. The first room smelled like a dog kennel, and the second room had bed linens looking like this. The front desks response was "would you like a paper receipt?" The manager keeps trying to throw points at us for compensation. Mind you not enough to even cover 1 night mid during slow season, much less the cost of medical bills for the needle stick. We won't stay here again. Yes, it's fairly new and received an award for universal design but it falls short. We have stayed here at least 3 times. Room 103 is a wheelchair accessible room with roll in shower. The wall mounted shampoo, soap, conditioner bottles are directly behind the bench though, so if you sit on the bench your head will smack the bottles if you don't inch forward which is not a good situation. We mentioned this to staff after our first 2 stays but it has not been fixed. This last stay, it appeared that the bench was starting to come away from the wall (the screws were not flush to the tile) They evidently are happy to have the universal design award but are not receptive to guest requests. Staff is not super friendly with the exception of one young woman who is very sweet. read more

I would like to share my experience at this hotel. Upon check in, the front desk receptionist was very friendly and thorough! The next morning was not, however. The breakfast offered was sub-par and complete chaos. I went down for breakfast at 9:00 and it was a zoo... nothing really to choose from and no one was there replenishing available items. As for the room... I did not bring any shampoos or body wash because it was advertised that these items were provided. Needless to say, while I'm already in the shower, all the bottles were empty. I don't know how long this was neglected but these are big bottles that have obviously not been filled in sometime. I wasn't able to even clean myself or wash my hair. There was also no hairdryer! At checkout, there was someone behind the desk and all she said was just put my key cards in the desk. I asked her for a reciept. She seemed annoyed and proceeded to go back behind the desk to print it up. I mentioned to her the issue I experienced about not having soap or shampoos. She said- oh "sorry about that". I asked her " that's all you have to say about that? I paid over $300 for this room and I didn't have a basic necessity that is advertised by your hotel." I did tell her she was not providing excellent customer service. Not once did she ask me how my stay was or thank me. I have stayed at many Hilton properties. This was a disappointing stay for the money. I would expect this at some roadside motel, not a Hilton Branded property! read more

We found this very clean, modern and well appointed. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The only thing I didn't really like was the breakfast, but that might have been because the visiting college baseball team beat us there. The front desk was very patient with some obnoxious customer in front of me. He was very confrontational, but she expertly diffused the situation. I complimented her skills when it was my turn. Beautiful room, Free parking, great breakfast, the staff in general was really nice, except the front desk lady (morning shift), she was so impolite, terrible attitude, I asked when we arrive for an early check in, and she said "There is no possible, we don't have rooms available right now, it's 11 am it's so early to do early check in " honestly she was so rude, and I have made early check in at 930 am in other hotels, so, it was just bad attitude, the hotel took my bag until 3 PM while I went to visit some places and come back to do check in, the lady at the kitchen (for the breakfast) was amazing! Keep everything super clean, refill all the breakfast stuffs, asked to get my room clean and they did, honestly amazing hotel! the location was great, just 20 min away from Niagara Falls, just 10 min from BUF airport and 15 min from Downtown Buffalo! read more

I had spent one evening at this hotel and for the most part it was a great experience. I stayed on a Friday evening so the price was higher than during the work week so that was unfortunate. The breakfast choices were pretty good but the eggs, French toast sticks, and bacon tasted terrible. The employee serving the food was sweet and friendly. They did have a lot of "extras" such as muffins, oatmeal, fruit, etc. There wasn't always a person viewable at the front desk - not sure why. The bathroom had a walk in shower - I would have preferred a tub. The bed was by far my favorite from the experience - perfectly soft and so comfortable!! I've stayed at many Hampton Inns since I'm a Hilton Honors member. I had my son's graduation last week and stayed at Hampton Inn Cortland. Had am amazing experience there. This Hampton Inn, however, was extremely disappointing in every respect. I called ahead to request early check in as we were driving 8 hrs to get to my stepdaughter's graduation. The front desk said "Do you expect me to wake up our guests to accommodate your early check in?". I told them the Cortland Hampton Inn told me to call ahead and they'd do it so I thought this Inn would atleast try to give us the same courtesy. That didn't happen. When we checked in our room had no lights. They took an hour to reset the breaker. We also requested a King sz bed when we made reservations but we had 2 queens instead. Front desk told us the kings are sold out. The breakfast was horrible. Cold fake eggs. Toaster didn't work. Muffins were frozen. I asked front desk if they do refresh service they said yes. Also asked the housekeeper Juanita on our floor and she said yes and took down our room number. We came back from graduation at 5:00 to find our room just as we left it. We had no toilet paper and no clean towels so went yo front desk. Tianna at the front desk was the only reason I even give this hotel 1 star. She went up to give us new towels and toilet paper and cleaned out garbage's. She also was very apologetic and very friendly. read more
