I complained about it because I was quoted $133. The nice lady on duty in the morning corrected my bill. And those prices had a AAA DISCOUNT. Geez that didn't help much for a lower price. They need to get more affordable motels there.

Not a big deal. We arrived at 5:30 pm. After set up, my girls walked to the pool that was supposed to be open till 8 pm. Well. They closed open swimming at 6 pm for lessons. Disappointing. I confirmed my reservation for Sunday night, July 3rd. When we arrived on Sunday, the office wasn't staffed. My reservation was no where to be found and had no clue what site I was at. We took an open site that was electric only. They only accept checks when the office is closed. So bring a check book. We don't carry checks. We decided to stay anyway. Once we set up, we walked to the steakhouse, which was closed. Website said it would be open, so we didn't stop to eat in Sioux City. . So we went to subway. Nice staff, and the place was super clean. Our experience wasn't as nice as it should have been. But the stay was ok. People around the site were obviously no stranger to the park. When everything gets quiet and you have a 100 set of eyes on you, it's a little uncomfortable. I smiled and waved with no responses. Just weird. We couldn't wait to leave. This was our first and second time, but probably won't be back.

This was September 3, 2020 (Covid protocols still in place). We were told at check-in that there was no breakfast served, but they would have a grab bag for us with breakfast items. We went to checkout in the morning and no grab bag...they had the breakfast area open and two other couples were inside the breakfast area... no social distancing at all. We grabbed a couple of granola bars and left. Coffee and hot water was available in four pots, which were communal and not sanitized between each customer. Went to the front counter to turn in our keys and saw this sign (see first picture) saying no one was available at the front desk. So I went to slide my keycards under the plastic shield to leave them next to their computer and one card fell on the floor behind the desk (I didn't throw them... one card bounced out of the card holder). A young man (Taran) came from somewhere in the back of the counter area and said "That was not necessary!" I asked what wasn't necessary. He said "throwing the cards. no one was going to use your card to open your room." (He was implying I could have left them on the counter where anyone could have gotten to them...they had the room number written on the card holder.) I told him I wanted to make sure they were out of the way and tried to get them next to his computer. He was extremely annoyed which made me mad! I told him that that was lousy customer service, made sure I noted his name, took a picture of the sign saying no one was at the front desk, and left. (Note: when he walked from the outer office to the counter area, he was only right there the whole time...but I couldn't see him behind the wall. Why not stay behind the counter where you're supposed to be?!). I called corporate and made a complaint about the terrible customer service and the blatant disregard for adherence to Covid-19 protocols.

Tonight (Friday) at 9:15 p.m. it said their last day was 2/13 4-9 p.m. and then closed for the season 2/14 (which would be the weekend). Similar inconsistencies with hours when trying to go previous seasons. Last weekend varies drastically. Weekend hours just not consistent enough for out-of-town people to plan around, even throughout the season.
