Date of Visit: 7/28/2025 Monday For those that are following, this is my second foodie stop on my road-trip to the northeast. I'm not gonna kid you but I did do a little research on this place before my trip and is one of the reasons I am traveling on 701 north. Most sources I gathered from other YELP! reviews. And you really have to read between the lines on some reviews, I did not let them change my mind. I need to stop here. As I arrived and located the place, it was a little tricky to park but not bad. Entered the place and it looked just like the photos online. I stepped to counter and waited behind two others and not long after I placed my order. Just a regular burger cheese w/LT and a order of fries. Now it didn't take long and my order was ready. Don't get me wrong, this place is so busy there is constantly burgers cooking on the grill. And these burgers weren't sitting around either. As soon as as it was done it was gone, as fast as they were making them they were gone. Walked over to a table with my food and drink and sat and unwrapped one of the most beautiful burgers I ever had. No complaints, bun held up thru the juiciness. LT was fresh and crisp. And the fries were just as good even though I'm not crinkle-cut type. These were crispy and soft on the inside. Hope to back this way again. Once again I found another great spot off the beaten path. Came here on a Friday afternoon and it was very busy with a long line that went reasonably quickly. Staff is friendly and restaurant was clean. Prices are good and they offer hamburgers, red hot dogs and chicken fingers. The chicken fingers came out very hot with good portions. Breakfast is also served. read more

I've read reviews of Fowlers online and they all mention the hot dogs. But the BURGERS are what I'll talk about. Ground beef, shaped by hand (cheese is optional) and cooked on a flat top grill. It literally melted in my mouth. The fresh buns are steamed soft, and you can choose from a number of traditional toppings. Try the "Carolina style" with slaw and chili. It's pretty simple service, with a single line to order, pay, and receive your food. You can get your order to go or eat in. The locals call in their orders and then pick them up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a 25 cent charge if you use a debit card- not a big deal since the food cost is so low. Otherwise, have your cash ready. Man, there's something about southern cooking that satisfies your appetite, especially if it's southern cooking with foods on the grill! I really like the food here and love how they cook it all for cheap! The restaurant itself might be a bit crowded during lunch breaks and dinner time, but I don't think you'll be sitting anyway unless you're real slow at eating a hot dog. P.S. from what I've heard the reason the hot dogs are so good is because they are cooked in lard, don't be grossed out though if you're not used to it. read more

I ordered 100 hot dogs with everything and they didn't bat an eye. Dogs were ready (cooked and wrapped) in 20 minutes and were delicious. The service, the food and the price are amazing. read more

Very friendly, very simple menu, very cheap prices, very fast service, and great food. I had a double cheeseburger, and it was done before I was done paying. Burgers are terrible, dry with absolutely no taste. Fries are undercooked with no flavor. All needs salt and pepper in the least.

What can I say.... As far as I am concerned, this is the gold standard for Hot Dog's. The staff are awesome, and the food is amazing. Just one taste and you will know why this place brings people from all over the world... Seriously there are some folks from England that come over to Myrtle Beach on "Holiday", and they make a special trip to Tabor City just to have some of this food... how cool is that!! If the hot dogs here can bring folks from all the way across the pond... there is no wonder why there is usually a line that stretches to the door during lunch.
