The food was fantastic. I was a bit leery of a buffet but was pleasantly surprised. All of the seafood on the buffet is freshly breaded and fried. The buffet price at $16.99 is great for that much food. Some of our family ordered à la carte and all of theirs was great too. We ordered fried oysters and they were far superior to Beck's. Hidden gem off the beaten path. Came here for the all you can eat crab legs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The whole place was full of locals by the time we got there at 6 PM. Waited 30 minutes to get in, which was not bad at all. The inside is definitely small and intimate. The staff were the sweetest people we've encountered in any restaurant down here. So incredibly kind. Adorable southern style buffet with delicious country food. We met a few other local residents who come here weekly and have been coming here weekly for years. In addition to the crabs, they raved about the fried chicken, fried okra beans, and always a fresh salad bar. We all echo the fried chicken and fried okra were phenomenal. The star is being the crab were delicious. Seasoned with a tidy bit of Cajun seasoning which still allowed their sweet flavor to come through. Tasted fresh and not frozen (no idea if they were or not) but we could not get enough. And the price cannot be beat at only $36 pp. When our service notice we were depleting our plates, they quickly came by to ask if we needed more. No stinginess here. Highly recommend if you're looking for something less commercial and don't need all the other seafood. We were the only tourists here which we loved. Lived by this place, always busy. I decided to try it yesterday. The have a menu but mostly a buffet. I saw patrons eating crab legs and the waitress said they were on buffet. So, I got the buffet. 3 steam tables with a limited amount of actual seafood. Mostly fried chicken, sides, and desserts. NO CRAB LEGS! Asked another server who told me they cost extra. Ok, tried some fried and sauted seafood, everything was bland. Long story short, I got sick as a dog last night, woke me up around 3am and upchucked everything. So, 0 stars for $25 worth of bad food. I heard about this restaurant from someone who raved about it. I stopped in today and I was greeted when I walked in, I was given a menu to order my takeout meal. I decided to have the seafood platter which had flounder, shrimp, scallop, oyster, crab. Catfish, hush puppies, fries and deviled crab. I have never heard of devil crab before. Just saying. This was a lot of food and I must tell you it looked and smells so good. They had forgotten to put the devil crab on and so the waitress followed me out of the door as I was getting into my car and she waved me down to get give it to me. The food was delicious. However, I could have done without the devil crab that was not my taste. They also have a buffet. That's what I will be having the next time I go in (and I will be going back.) it is definitely worth it. read more

Reviews here made me want to go and try it... we went for a late lunch/early supper (4pm). clean, super friendly staff, food was just ehhhh... they had several fried fish, fried shrimp, & deviled crab for seafood choices on the buffet, they also had other meats and veggies as well. I thought the food was a little greasy and tasteless....salad bar was small, all iceberg lettuce, a small number of toppings, best part of meal was desserts. We returned for our annual Myrtle Beach vacation and had to come to Sea Man's again! Arrived on Wed night right at 5:00 and got a seat. 15 min later there was a line forming. The all you can eat crab legs were delicious- served hot! Had to order a side of hush puppies and my husband said they looked like they were on steroids - huge and so tasty! Cookie was our server and couldn't have been more pleasant. We will be back next year when we come to Myrtle Beach! read more

This Family Owned restaurant is a delightful experience. Camille, our Server, was very personable, quite fun, very attentive, and polite. The Buffet is back for only $14.95. Fried Shrimp, Meatloaf, Fried Pork Chop, Fried Fish (on FRI & SAT nite Baked Fish too) Fried Chicken, lots of choices for veggies, and spuds, homemade Pecan Pie, Banana Pudding, Cobbler, and other dessert treats. What is better though is you have a full entree menu to choose from as well. One very large Fried Flounder Platter was $16.99 and was cooked to perfection. But two large Fried Flounders on the same platter was only $19.99 both featuring two sides with the Sweet Potato slices being especially succulent. Some folks buy the latter platter for takeout or they eat in and come HUNGRY! All the food from either the Buffett or Entree menu was delicious! They also offer all you can eat crab legs for $47.99 but this treat was on special the night we were there for $35.00. We did not have enough time but we will make some on our next visit. The restaurant was quint, and on the smaller side but they did have a party of eight dining across from our booth. They offer comfortable wooden booths, tables, and the table cloths were a nice touch. Everything, including the Rest Rooms was spic and span, and very clean! They are located only 28 minutes from the heart of Myrtle Beach, SC where we saw the Cirque LeGrade show at The Broadway Theater which was great Family entertainment. All four of us felt that Sea Man's Seafood offered an outstanding dinning experience and value which is what we expected from their review ratings of 4.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor and 4.2 on Yelp.com. Sea Man's is one of those hidden secrets that is tucked away on the side of the road just waiting to be found; and once you are inside, a buffet of seafood and comfort food awaits. They offer a buffet for $14.99 that includes a salad/dessert bar and 2 hot bars. They also offer all you can eat crab legs with the buffet for $47.99. We opted to go with the all you can eat crab legs and we were not disappointed. We tried a little bit of different dishes from the hot bar and there were no disappointments. If you aren't in the mood for a buffet, they do have a menu with different seafood options, burgers and kids meals. We were there mid-week and in the evening and service was a little lackluster. it was not busy at all and our server never came by our table even though he was out on the floor. For the all you can eat buffet option with the crabs, it is priced inline with some of the bigger buffets in the area but felt that for the size of the buffet they have, it was a little overpriced. Plenty of staff and they work hard to keep it moving. Turned out that the crabs were great and so was the buffet. Starts out with 4 clusters and then refills were 2 clusters. All per person. Buffet had a good mix of salads, fried chicken, fried fish, veggies and some deserts. Special was $35 a person. Only a couple of miles from Willow Tree campground so very convenient. Let me tell you!!! This place is the bomb! It is truly a home cooked meal. Our server was Cookie and she is as sweet as her name. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed. I'm a southern bell and baby this food did not disappoint. The prices are very reasonable for a buffet in the area. The drive was about 20 minutes on the hwy from the resort but worth every minute. It was so good my husband had to thank the chef. Definitely a flavortown moment. They also offer all you can eat but at a higher price but again it compares to those other calabash buffets but better. You don't need 120 menu items if 100 are subpar. I'll take the 40 if all of them are banging! Y'all do y'all thang. Don't compromise and change nothing, the flavor will continue to bring them in. We picked this place while staying at the willowtree a few miles up the road. We walked in and were told to sit wherever. We sat down and did wait quite a while before waited on. He was very friendly and we all just decided on the Buffet. The buffet has seafood and dessert with the home cooking. I enjoyed all the things I tried and even my 10 yo loved it. This seems to be a popular local spot with good home cooking. Lots of people having the crab legs. The service is slow but friendly and that's the only reason for 4 stars.
