Great local place for coffee and lunch. I like the thought they put into the menu not your basic ham and cheese sub kind of place.

This hard to find gem is hidden in a tiny border town of SC off the main drag! I was passing through and needed a break from driving and some food. This little shop is super unique and clearly the vision of a young lady that desires to serve the highest quality food from the farm to you!! From the repurposed building to the meal you receive, everything has a reason and a mission. I tried the BLATT sandwich and a piece of apple pie. Firstly, the bread was warm, crispy on the outside but not tougher than an old farm boot. Then the turkey was thinly sliced and heated to perfection! Avocado was ripe and fresh. The next two items were clearly off the farm, the lettuce and tomatoes. I've not experienced a greenery or slice of red ripe tomatoes on a sandwich or in any other capacity in a fine restaurant the beats these. Period. The closer, the Apple pie, was warmed and covered in homemade whipped cream. Not only were the apples soft and packed with flavor, the light flaky pie crust was a treat in and of itself. would recommend making the detour if in SC to visit this place. The Grind is exactly what every small town needs. It is a small, friendly coffee shop that also serves lunch items. My husband got a cappuccino and I got chai latte. My husband enjoyed the cappuccino. The chai had too much nutmeg for my taste, but was good. It reminded me of pumpkin pie. If you're in the area, it's a nice place to grab a coffee/tea. read more

Wonderful spot to stop at in Loris! Diverse menu with something for everyone. Service was very quick and everyone checked in on us frequently/was so sweet! Sandwiches are too small for the price. Like really small. Wish there was a choice of bread. Their bread is too hard. Skimpy on the meats.

Cute lil place! Enjoyed the food and atmosphere, prices aren't bad either. However I am disappointed in a cute Lil place like this- that seems to value farm fresh type food to serve everything (even when dining in) in disposable/plastic and Styrofoam! Do better. Loved the tomato soup. read more

Stopped in today because: 1. It looked so cute 2. We had heard it was the best sandwiches in town. 3. We were hungry for good food... This small yet adorable space was inviting with its small time country feel - I felt right at home. The friendly server offered us a sample of the chicken salad and wow...it was on the money! Neat little location and very friendly service. Super easy to get to and has moderate parking space. There is a small dine in area for those who don't know. Was immediately greeted and wasn't sure what to get so I asked about coffee and they got me their strongest. Was nice to have a personalized experience. And this coffee is pretty damn good. Didn't get anything in it just raw rocket fuel and it's great. For the size the price was a bit much, but hell it's local and paying more for that is worth it. We waste money on other stuff. Stopped off here for a quick refresher on our way to Myrtle Beach. THIS IS A MUST!!!! I had the blueberry smoothie with almond milk instead of regular milk. It was super smooth and full of blueberry flavor! My daughter had sugar free hazelnut iced coffee with light ice. She said it was super full of flavor and very refreshing. She also had them use almond milk too. So, Melinda helped us. She listened to what we were thirsty for and made the perfect suggestions! Since we were just passing through, we were not familiar with their huge menu! John, the owner, was making everything in the background. He had a genuine smile as he helped hand us our drinks. They were both so genuine and kind! We will be stopping to here again on our way home! This will be a stop that we make a tradition when going to/from Myrtle Beach!!!!! I love this little place because it made me feel like I was home even though I was in a tiny town in SC. The owners are super nice to talk to and the food is simple, yet delicious! They primarily have sandwiches, but they also serve breakfast, coffee, smoothies, and desserts (the owner's wife makes pies!). I spent about $10 here every time and usually grabbed the special for the day. I love their turkey meat and grabbed their turkey melt the first time I was there (my favorite). The blueberry pie was delicious--it wasn't too sweet, and the whipped cream with it made it heavenly! Side note: they bake the pie before they serve it to you, so it's pretty hot when it gets to you (a burn your mouth kind of hot lol). I was being greedy and ate it first anyways. They will sometimes sell out of pie! I had a sample of their leek soup too. It wasn't too salty, it was creamy and had nice bits of mushroom in it. Parking is a free for all. You just park anywhere on the gravel basically. I think they have a drive thru which is nice! They also said they deliver to the hospital nearby. Interior is homey. If you're here working or just swinging by the town to go to the beach, I'd grab a bite here before you go! A perfect lunch spot. I wish I could've tried their breakfast and smoothies! I love to find unique local restaurants while road tripping, and I'm so glad I found The Grind! My husband and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Myrtle Beach and everything was delicious! We both had watermelon smoothies (that tasted like real watermelon, not artificial at all!) and mushroom herb soup (best soup I've had in a long time). This was a great spot for lunch! The food was delicious and super fresh, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the ambience lively and fun. The chicken salad, tuna salad, and pie are all excellent! Have stopped in here for lunch half a dozen times and have never had a bad meal. Yea and coffee has been great and every different sandwich my dad or I have ordered has been wonderful. I've not tried the smoothies or salads, but from what I have seen people loved them. Today I had the best potato soup I've ever had, and the Horry panini.
