Parking seemed limited at first, but there's more available in the back. Just a tip: be careful not to miss the entrance, since exiting is a one-way street and re-entering can be tricky. We arrived around 6:45 pm and saw a small line with two groups ahead, but the place is much bigger than it looks from the outside and we were seated quickly in a comfortable booth for four. The pub was clean, and I was especially surprised at how spacious and tidy the washrooms were--not what I usually expect from a pub, which tend to feel older and worn. The menu is huge, and TVs are everywhere--even in our booth. Between us, we tried a good range of dishes: 1. Caprese Salad with Steak - nicely balanced with pesto, though the steak was a little dry. 2. Fish and Chips - incredible portion for $18! Crispy, perfectly cooked fish with fries, coleslaw, and even a Caesar salad. The fries were well-seasoned (no ketchup needed), coleslaw was enjoyable despite me usually not liking it, and the Caesar was delicious. 3. Mexican Salad - flavorful, fresh, and generous in portion. 4. Tuesday Wing Special - wings were $0.90 each, so I ordered 15 with a Coke Zero. The garlic Parmesan was disappointing--dry and lacking flavor--but the Buffalo ranch wings were tender and spot-on. Service was friendly, though our waitress could have been more proactive with drink and water refills. Overall, I was impressed. Clean space, huge portions, good value, and a welcoming pub atmosphere. Definitely a solid stop if you're in the area.

The one thing we were shocked about was the quality of the food. We were short on time so I had a steak Caesar salad and my wife had the Cobb salad. Both looked appealing and the portion size was large. My steak was cooked properly and the salad was great. Low expectations in terms of food but we were blown away.

The waitress did the bare minimum except to look pissed when I didn't order a pre- dinner drink. Drinks - a supposed nine-oz. glass of wine somehow magically fit into a five-oz. glass with room left over. When my wife looked at it, she said to the waitress "I ordered the nine-oz. size". The response from the waitress was "that is a nine oz.". So the place is charging $12.50 for a nine oz. glass, but only giving half that. Good money maker. And for a place that calls itself a full restaurant - only two wines by the glass, both cheap, under $15 a bottle wines? The food - bland, badly cooked. My sirloin was tough and chewy, the fries overcooked and burnt. My wife had chicken strips, but it took a lot of looking to find the little bit of chicken wrapped in all those bread crumbs. We skipped the dessert - by that time we just wanted to get out of there.

You just have to agree on the protein as the sizzling plate with protein and peppers and onions comes as one big stack. Service again friendly and fast, however one thing that cropped up second time in a row which makes me believe it's intentional is lack of attention after the food is dropped. No one comes back to see if ok or you need a refill on your soft drink. You have to wave someone down. Both times restaurant was barely 1/2 full and different servers as well. Hmmmm Anyhow you get pictures this time. Good filling deal for $50 for two

The bar area is bright and well laid out with a good mix of booths and high tables. I can't comment on the dining room as I have never sat in that section. I tend to prefer to sit in the bar area as it always seems more lively. This time, we came in to grab some drinks and grubs before catching a movie at the Landmark Cinema (my favorite theatre in Durham region). We sat at the bar and ordered the usual bar fare with a few pints of non-American beer. Their pan bread is a guilty pleasure with soft, pan baked bread sitting in a delicious mix of garlic butter, some herbs and grated parm. Yum! Their wings were on the small side but fried well with the accompanying dipping sauces (med Buffalo and ranch for the veggie sticks). It was exactly what you would expect. The bar staff were jovial and efficient and we had a great pre-movie dinner. We'll likely to continue coming here for the convenience of location and standard bar experience.
