We have 6 kids, so it's very difficult & stressful for us to travel. Blue Sky Vacations immediately took all that stress away. As soon as we arrived at Riverbend, we felt like we were HOME! Everything we needed was provided, which made it so quick & easy to get settled in. The beds were amazingly comfy which made it hard to want to get up in the mornings! The back decks offer incredible views of the waterfront which is just breathtaking this time of year as the leaves change. This home has the most peaceful & serene setting where we were able to just relax & enjoy. All of our kids had a blast here & are already asking when we can come back!! Obviously, the agent had made a data input error. The townhome was not available to us at this time. Needless to say this has inconvenienced a family in the middle of a move greatly. Not a reputable business Village Villas did find a replacement rental for us but the property is an absolute dump. It is filthy. The kitchen equipment is so bad I had to buy pots and pans to use for the month. The smoke detector is not functioning, the chain on the toilet broke, the kitchen light does not work and nails are coming out of the carpet. The problems have been reported but no attempt has been made to remedy the issues. I am a big supporter of " go local" but in this instance I suggest Airbnb is the way to go if you decide to visit this area.

LOVE Riverview Cabins & Canoes!…read more Hubby & I do a weekend get away to the Arkansas mountains at least once a year & this last time we decided to stay here! We have stayed many places & we usually stay at Petit Jean but we decided to check out Riverview Cabins & Canoes & it turned out to be the best trip to the Arkansas mountains we have ever had. We rented the small cabin for 2 with the hot tub. It was so adorable! The bed was super comfy & the hot tub was amazballs. It was perfect for 2, very romantic & had everything we needed. The first night it rained & we hung out & made veal meatballs. So yummy! We loved the little gas stove & the giant shower. There was also a cute little fireplace & bear rug! So adorable. The hiking in the woods was cool, the canoeing & river was beautiful & the riding stables were well kept. The whole property was very nice. All the Cabins were picture perfect. There are a couple different canoeing trips you can take & you can hike & ride the trails. There is a little town near by you can go have lunch too, we checked that out, it was very cool with some very cool old buildings & a couple fun lunch spots. It is out in BFE, Walmart, grocery stores & liquor stores are like an hours drive away so bring everything you need b4 you get there. The lady that works the check in was very sweet & very kind to us. The clocks sprang forward (daylight saving time) & we overslept the last day bc our bed was that comfy! I called her & she was very cool about it & gave us an extra hour to check out. That was almost 3 months ago & we are still talking about what a great time we had there :)) We can't wait to go back! Red Roof Inn kindly took me in at 4am for similar rate on Priceline but had to document my marks to make clear it wasn't them. I serve in the military, travel extensively for work (48 countries to date), and this is a first for me anywhere unfortunately. Worst experience in my life unfortunately among hotels, AirBnB, even hostels & couchsurfing. I hope this can help others and the inn itself do better.
