Marci told me I needed to clean my pool before they would come out and close it. I bought the chemicals recommended from their store and got it cleaned up. Upon getting it cleaned, Marci then told me they aren't accepting anymore closings although I tried to schedule the closing weeks before. Fox runs a complete water analysis for your pool or spa at zero charge to you. Of course they'd like you to buy your supplies there, but even if you don't, it's a great free service. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. read more

Love these guys. We bought a pool from one of the big pool and spa stores and really got screwed. I wish we would have bought straight from FOX. They have bailed us out so many times cleaning up the mistakes the other place made. They were even out again this week to fix our filter that had a piece crack when the big freeze came. They also have done scheduled service to our pool when we were out of town or to busy to deal with it. We now have an automatic chlorine feeder and an aqua bug, so our pool needs little maintenance now allowing us to enjoy our pool more. Prices for pool chemicals are the same as any one else, so I have no problem driving a little farther to get my water tested and buy chemicals. Highly Recommended. read more

This place is a complete rip off. They over bill and do very poor service. After terminating service they billed $100+ dollars. When I called and asked them what it was for, they said dropping of a bottle of algae cleaner and service...... Ridiculous!!! Apparently that's the going rate for some guy who does nothing to come by and drop of a bottle! Where do I sign up, I could use that job. Previous month the also over billed. I bought a chemical tester and discover that the PH was so off that I wasn't able to use my pool for a week. When I called to complain about the billing they said "sorry to hear about that". I also think some how they manipulated the Yelp reviews by changing the name up. When Google the name, you see review at 3.5 on Yelp. read more

After being stood up by two other companies that had been recommended by my contractor, I decided to forget the idea of saving money and just go with a store-fronted company. I thought I'd pay more, but I was wrong. We could get superior service and products for almost the same price. We started with Jeremy. He's an excellent communicator and stewarded us through the entire process with few, if any, hitches. The entire installation team from contractors, to concrete guys, to electrician were all A+ quality, all kind, professional and timely. The final product is amazing. The skipped no corners all the way to the end, including giving us all the nets, skimmers, vacuums and children's alarms we needed. The completed a full training for us with everything from chemical balancing to running the pump. I expect and demand excellent. Fox Pools provided it. read more

We have used Fox Pools to cover and uncover our pools as well as gone into the store to pick up chemicals. I have always had great experience with them both at the house and store front. Everyone who works at this company is friendly, knowledgeable and offers very good customer service. I asked one of the employees a question which she didn't know and instead of making up an answer or blowing it off she went and got another employee to help me. This is my first time owning a pools so a bit unsure of the prices however Fox will keep my business as their knowledgeable and customer service is great! read more

I researched a lot of pool companies before choosing Foxx of Hendersonville. They done exactly as promised and beyond in almost every instance. Most of the time I didn't even ask. I am glad I chose Foxx Pools. They installed in August of 2013. I waited until the service issues that is the true measurement of a good company and I have no reserves giving these folks a 5 start rating. My parents did business with Fox Pools first when their pool was built in the 90s. Fast forward to my buying a home and wanting a pool so I knew immediately who was the best. They built my above ground pool with a 7' deep end and kept all promises/deadlines about 14 years ago. I take pool water to be tested about once every other week and my pool has never been green. This past year my pump went out and I used their in-house repair. The repair was timely and not too costly. The customer service is top notch. Fox is truly a fine group of folks. If you are shopping for a pool or hot tub, at least give them the opportunity to bid. I have a neighbor that used another company that was completely disappointed with deadlines not being met, etc. He now uses Fox as well and is very pleased. read more

We had been working towards getting our pool filter housing replaced. We had gone to Fox from time to time as they are local and we wanted to support local. What a joke. We called were supposed to get a call back, however snow hit and I figured it may have lost it in the process. I called back talked to an employee who had been there years. We paid for one thing then got another. At that point I was irritated but nothing I could do. They came and installed the replacement, well the men left did not let me know, 4 of my stones from around the pool were at the bottom of my pool. We could not see it right away but immediately after the housing was replaced we lost a bunch of water. We called right away. They denied it, would not check on it, the lady claimed I am new don't know anything. My husband went up there to show pictures. He explained the situation, he is a disabled vet, they did not want to make it right, or even investigate it. Well the guy that did it said it went fine. I would say that too if I cost a customer more money. Save yourself the aggravation, they do not care about customers just their money. No customer care at all read more

Left a pool cleaner a week ago and they told me it would be a day or so since I was 2nd in line came back 3 days lat a Z tax

It took Fox pools 5 visits to open my pool correctly. I was then charged for some of the extra visits and told they would credit those visits, if I never call again.... REALLY?? This is after they closed my pool last year and left the pump on, which eventually burned it up and fried the pump. They "rebuilt" it after I called and told them but it never worked right again. I paid someone to install a new one and haven't had a problem since. I would stay away from this company because they trust young, inexperienced, new hires to work on your most expensive asset in your yard.... I wouldn't give them the 1 star if I had a choice.... read more

Single worst customer service experience I've ever had with a contractor. They had to come out 5 times for what should have been a single visit (pool opening and new solar cover install), they even charged me for things they forgot off the cover install (straps for roller) and for repeat trips due to their own poor notes. They came out for the third trip with a USED cover that was the wrong size (even after they ordered a custom safety cover during the winner and had exact drawings of my pool). Will be partially disputing their CC charges as fraud with my bank...avoid their contracting services at all costs. A week later the new cover has already delaminated along one of the seams . What was quoted as $300 opening and $250 cover, not cheap rates as-is ($550 + taxes) was charged at $731.62 Their staff in the store itself are very helpful and knowledgable, no issues there aside from their costs on chemicals are pretty steep. The manager said she trusted her staff more than me on the phone, just wow. read more

Terrible customer service. Set my pool up incorrectly and wanted to charge another $100 service fee to come back out plus supplies. To top it off they placed my pool cover in the kids toy bin and broke it. Will never use this company again. We recently purchased a pool from Fox Pools & Spas. While I am sure most people have heard the horror stories typically associated with having a pool put in, we want to tell the flip-side of the experience. We were very choosy on picking who would install our pool. While price was certainly a factor, it was not the only thing we considered. Having recently built a new home, we are aware of the frustrations that can come when having something built; therefore, we had many considerations surrounding a quality process. We told Fox it was important to us that once our pool process began, we wanted it completed in a very timely manner. To us that meant working on it each day the weather allowed for work. We told them having people clean up "their mess" as they worked was important. We told them we needed someone to build a quality pool and help us set up a quality maintenance program. And of course it was important for the design fit in with our somewhat unique backyard landscape. Fox took all this input, and first wanted to come to our home to see what made sense. Only after this visit did they put together a package. We chose to get quotes from 3 different pool builders, and reviewed them all carefully. What we loved about the Fox quote was the fact it was extremely clear on what our contract covered, and also what was included so far as equipment. And they were very patient and thorough in answering questions; we felt very valued from the start. For us, Fox was an easy choice. The pool install went without a hitch. The duo who installed the pool was top notch. We would watch in amazement as they measured, re-measured, to take great care the pool was exact. And once they installed the pool, we had another individual who was equally as precise in installing the filter system, etc. One thing we did not totally understand and appreciate until after the fact was that Fox's quoted package is so totally comprehensive. They literally gave us every piece of equipment we need to keep our pool beautiful. For instance, for safety reasons we chose to have an electric pool cover. We have friends who told us how great electric covers are, but said it is a pain every time it rains as the water goes into the pool when you open the cover after a rain. We immediately said, "not an issue, Fox gave us a sump pump!" I could go on and on about the equipment they provided. But bottom line, what you need to know is they aren't looking to negotiate each and every piece of equipment. Their bid will be comprehensive and include what you need to have a beautiful pool. In summary, we really want to share our pleasure at having a partner who understood our needs and made us a feel like old friends during the entire process. From David and Brian who negotiated our package, to James, Christina, and Jay who installed the pool, the process went so smoothly. We are so happy we chose Fox Pools and I hope this helps anyone else who is considering them. Just finished our inground pool and we are very pleased. It's a process so you have to be patient but overall I feel like they genuinely cared about our being happy with our investment. They were very available to me during the process with my questions. My emails were answered right away. If they felt they needed to come to the house they did. They are very friendly, and very professional. I always knew what was going on. They walked me through the maintenance part and showed me how to use the cleaning equipment. ( which is very cool ) I know they are just a phone call away with any questions I may have about maintenance in the future. They're even helping me get a palm tree!
