The building is ran like a nursing home. Hr and management are not supporting staff or residents as they portray. Id reconsider sending your loved ones there.

My 93 year old grandmother has been residing here for the last year and a half. So I live 3000…read moremiles away and finally go to see her. This is NOT what I expected. And trust me, this review is well deserved, as I don't often take the time to post reviews. I was there a week so I have some good insight to the operations. When I pulled up the grounds were covered with privacy, snow, and about 10 white tailed deer. When I walked in, it smelled and looked so clean. The receptionist was quite friendly and directed me to my grandmothers room. Let me give you the bottom line....this place is sooo nice. Staff is very responsive, polite, caring and accommodating. Everyone that worked there loved working there and most were more than 10 years. Everything was efficient, the food was pretty good-no complaints. They clean the rooms thoroughly once a week, laundry is done weekly, they give the patients they're medicine etc. in a kind and gentle demeanor. Massaged ointment on my grandmother 2x a day-in S caring and gentle manner. Check on my grandmother 2x per night while she is asleep. They have church, activities, music, brain stimulation exercises, an area to dine privately if the whole family comes to visit, Omg-I could go on, I can't say anything bad. If you have someone you care about, you would have great comfort and not question the care here at all!!! Two thumbs up to Elderwood Assisted living from one pleasantly surprised granddaughter. Oh...PS-I made friends with 1/2 the residents! Love this place!

According to their website, Tara Cares "provides administrative support services to nursing homes…read more These services include business services such as accounting, patient reimbursement services, quality assurance consultation and nutritional services consultation." It sounds like they do wonderful work, helping the elderly in our community. I personally came across Tara Cares just yesterday evening. While driving home from a Valentine's Day event at the Hamburg Fairgrounds, like a namesake-mothership-beacon in the night, there it was, their big glowing sign--TARA CARES--in huge, shining letters! I said to my husband as we passed, "See, I DO CARE!", and mentioned their sign would be a fun photo-opp. And we drove on. But then, maybe a minute down the road, my husband said, "I'm going to get you that photo opp.", an pulled a U'y into the nearest lot. And back we went to the 'Tara Cares' sign, for my 15-seconds of silly-fame. And in the brisk 14-degrees of Valentine's night, my hubbs scampered through the snow with me to get my eponymous shot! So thank you to Tara Cares for all of the great work you do with our local seniors, and for your great sign! And especially thank you to my husband of 12+ years, (together for almost 20 years), for always trying to keep a smile on my face--even in the dead of winter, on the front lawn of a random business, shivering with the camera in your hands. You are forever more than I deserve. All I can say is that I care--and now the sign proves it! :-D
