Foxfire adventure has so much to offer! My family (of first time zip-liners aside from myself) had a blast on the Goliath zip line tour. Our tour guides (Thomas and JLO) were very experienced, friendly, funny, and they made us feel safe. Before you even start on a zipline you get a fun wild ride on a UTV that takes you up the mountain to where you will begin your adventure. For the next two days my father (who has a fear of heights) recommended foxfire adventure park to anyone/strangers we talked to. We visited Foxfire Mountain at the end of March. I think we were the only ones in the park. We did just the hiking (no zip lines) but that was enough for us that day. It was great being out in nature and hiking some of the well-kept trails. Give it a try if you're interested in taking a break from the city for a little bit! read more

All what you need to know - is you must to go to this place, this is the best zipline in all Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. The ropes course was a lot of fun! It was a fun challenge to try as many obstacles as you can with no hands!

I didn't know what to expect but this place is the real deal and tons of fun for the whole family. Our only strategic error is we didn't bring food with us and when we went there (late December), none of their food options were open. We spent an entire afternoon and did both of their zipline courses which were thrilling and beautiful. It took about 4 hours to do both. The views from the mountain tops were spectacular and I was impressed with how long the zip line spans were. The guides were friendly and professional and I watched them be very tactful and effective to a group of two moms with 5 obnoxious tween-aged boys. Our group was my husband, myself and three teenagers (daughter, son, and son's girlfriend) so this was a perfect activity for us. The zip line does take some physical exertion so don't do this if you are a complete couch potato. The property is really pretty with lots to do wandering around but we only did the ziplines. read more

I'm so glad we came here! It was the perfect way to spend a morning with my dad and four year old son. We lucked out and had sunshine and 70 degree weather on a Friday in November. We visited from about 10a-1p and mostly had the place to ourselves since we weren't zip lining. They gave us a map and explained everywhere we could explore. Very helpful! We started by walking through the tiny museum (about the size of a small shack) and to their bridge. It is quite long, but not as high up as others I've visited (good thing if anyone in your party is afraid of heights lol). On the other side there are smaller bridges between a handful of trees. My son loved running through these! This is also where you find the wishing wall (you hang a brightly colored paper with your with written in it and then ring the bell so it comes true). From there we walked the hike to the waterfall. Most of it is up hill, which was a beautiful and refreshing way to start the morning. My son had no problem running up and all around. It was the perfect length hike for his somewhat limited stamina. We also did the the little river walk trail. You can easily cross closer to the water. We were told that we're welcome to play in the water. So we tossed stones and even enjoyed the hammocks there. Just be careful if there was recent rain because things can get muddy (which led to me taking a tumble lol). Next, we walked by the climbing wall which had a kids sand box next it it. My son loved playing there. While he did, I walked through the Cider store where you can sample every kind they have! My son loved the apple juice. Lastly, we headed to the kids obstacle course. I couldn't find any pictures only or many descriptions of it, so I had no idea what to expect and if my boy would care for it at all. So here's what you need to know.... It's supposed to be like "the ground is lava" kind of game. The course probably has ten different sections - some like a balance beam, some are logs spaced out just enough at different heights, some are ropes or ropes and logs tied together and you have hang on and kind of swing from one to the next. I'm thinking your kid needs to be at least four years old and a decent climber to have any interest in this. Some parts are actually quite challenging. But the last thing is a miniature zip line. The line is only about six feet of the ground and you simply hold onto the handlebar to glide across. After we had completed the obstacle course, we did this zip line several times as we had the place to ourselves for about 45 minutes. Lots of fun! We'd definitely consider visiting again the next time we're in town! read more

They have Rope bridges, waterfalls and more. Amazing place and people. My whole trip was centered around ziplineing in the Smokies and you did not disappoint. Would definitely do it again and again. The Goliath zip line was AWESOME. We wanted to do the Waterfall one, but it was booked until the next day, and we were heading back home. Fortunately, The Goliath was still available and the group was gearing up, so we were able to join them. I was really freaked out when it was time for the first line still at the camp and almost chickened out, but I'm so glad I jumped off that edge. Our guides were amazing- I'm bad with names, plus I was so nervous when they introduced themselves that I instantly forgot. I want to say, Blake and Jeremiah? Sorry guys :-( Anyway, awesome guides who were entertaining and reassuring. When you get to that second line up in the mountains, it's scary as hell, but feels incredible and the views are beautiful. Such a worthy experience! I still can't believe I did that. If you're on the fence, just do it. We didn't get to explore the rest of the park, but we did check out their pretty dog friendly waterfall trail with our pup and enjoyed some ciders afterwards. We went here a few years ago with a group of 7 and had an amazing time! We choose this zip lining because it said it was one of the tallest and longest in the area. You don't get that stomach dropping feeling so don't be worried about that. They said they would have us zip lining with no hand at the beginning and we all laughed and said "yeah right!" Long behold everyone was zip lining hands free at the end. They take pictures of you as you Zipline which is cool. read more

This is a little hidden gem and it was very pretty. We decided to just do the hiking and bridge. It was a little over $50 just for that. Which is definitely over priced for what it is. It's definitely beautiful, the wishing bridge, the long bridge you cross to get to everything and the hike to the waterfall was beautiful but for around $24 a person you could see the same sights anywhere in gatlinburg if you just took the time to actually go hike. It's definitely cool but besides hiking and ziplining there isn't much else to do. We spent right at an hour there to hike to the waterfall and back and check out the wishing bridge. Again, cool but won't be back for that price. read more

We had a great afternoon at Fox Fire Adventure Park! Our daughters loved the Goliath Zip Line Tour! It was very high, fast and thrilling. The guides were excellent. We liked our photo package, but the pictures were just taken on the final zip line and at the end on the ground. (Not photos from every line, as I'd imagined.) The photographer got some great action shots! We appreciated that the pass to the hike was free with the purchase of a zip line tour. The hike was unique with some swinging bridges and a beautiful water fall at the end. The ziplining tours are pricey, but they are about the same price as the other zip line tours around Gatlinburg. I recommend this one because there are other things to do on the property and the hike was included (which we could have come back on another day to take, if we had wanted to). Also, I can't imagine that the other zip line tours could have topped the Goliath tour! read more

We had a fantastic time at Foxfire Mountain! Our family of 5 arrived at 12:50 for our 1:30 zipline time. We spent this time walking around the beautiful property and walking a short trail. Once we arrived, we really enjoyed the fact that it wasn't overly packed! It really felt like you were hanging out on a family farm. We reserved our time a week ahead of time, so we only had to sign our waivers. The process was simple. The bridge and the views were absolutely beautiful and serene. The leaves were just starting to turn. We were back in the office area by 1:15 for our zipline time. I wished we had arrived a little sooner to explore the property, so if you do the waterfall zipline, I would allow more time for this. We were happy to find that they had lockers for our belongings to use for free. Our tour had our family of 5, plus another couple, and 2 zip lines guys that were hilarious. Safety was always a priority, and the were knowledgeable and patient. (Especially since I had no idea what I was doing!) There were a total of 7 (I believe) ziplines, and it took a total of an hour and a half. There were pictures taken at the end by a professional photographer, and the prices of the photos were very reasonable. Overall, we really enjoyed of visit, and plan on doing the Goliath when we return back to town! A huge thanks to the zip line guides that helped me do the upside down zip! We did the Waterfall Canopy Zip Lining, we had 3 in our group plus another group of 6. Robbie & Shane were a lot of fun and entertaining. Robbie did a great job catching us/ assisting us with the landing, he was super friendly. Shane did a great job of reviewing safety with us, ensuring we knew what we could and couldn't do. Shane even took the time to show me how to do a flip of the platform while I was taking off. The view was great, however my group and I don't recall seeing a waterfall, however it is completely possible we missed it. Overall a great experience. They are happy to risk your life for their pocket book We booked a zipline trip for our family of three. There was a BIG lightning storm on the day the trip was supposed to happen. We understand not refunding money for a little rain, but lightning is a different story. We did not feel that putting our children in danger was worth the risk, but Foxfire was willing to risk it and unwilling to refund or reschedule. As a disabled veteran with PTSD issues surrounding electricity due to things that occurred when I was in the Army. I cannot function in an environment like that. I thought this company would have been sensitive to the disabilities of our US war Veterans. They were not. read more

We had a great zip line experience with Foxfire Mountain. One of our party members was a bit tentative. They took personal time to ensure they were comfortable and could enjoy all the fun. Derek and Robbie were awesome guides! They have a safety first focus, but that does not mean you lose out on any fun. They helped coach our kids on how to do fun tricks on the zip line. The Waterfall course was a ton of fun, we look forward to coming back sometime to do the Goliath course. We had the opportunity to see one other zipline course while doing another activity at a competitor location and were so glad we chose to zipline with Foxfire! Their location is away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge, worth the drive. I could not recommend them more. read more

We had purchased a large event pass through a charity auction. And even though some of the original events weren't available anymore, we had a fantastic time! Disclaimer: I can only speak to the "waterfall" trails and not zip lines, which we did not do. Paid $70 for a family of 3 for hiking trail and swinging bridge. Let's start with the swinging bridge, not much to talk about, it's as advertised I suppose, but nothing much to it. Then off to the trails, which is what we came for. The "1 hour waterfall trail" was barely 20 minutes, and guess what? No waterfall! Bone dry! FALSE ADVERTISING. They literally advertise this as a waterfall trail and there is not a drop of water falling. I promised my son a waterfall, we got nothing. Look, if the water is simply not flowing, there is no control to that. But if people come to do a waterfall trail as advertised and you don't warn them ahead of time that the waterfall does not exist, that is just shady business. In addition, they advertise cow and Llama pastures and yard games. We got one rooster, some chicks, and plastic horseshoes and connect four game. We maybe spent an hour total here, and even the cider room was closed so we couldn't do that. Do your research and avoid this place if you are simply looking to hike. Save your money and save your time! read more

Firefox is a great place to Zip line! We did the Waterfall course with Tim and Tom. Our family of 4 (2 kids age 8 and 15) had an amazing time! The instructions provided made sure we were safe and made it to the other side! The playground and grounds were fun to explore while we waiting for our zip line adventure to begin. We had an amazing time with the staff at Foxfire. The grounds we so serene and peaceful. While you wait for your group, there are yard games, a nature trail and suspension bridge, some farm animals, a gift shop and a small history museum on site. We went during the pre-season, so unfortunately their big zip line wasn't open yet, but the ones that were, sure were a blast! We had a party of 4 and got paired up with another 4 people and 2 safety guides. Both of which were very knowledgeable about the lines, the safety gear and the surrounding area. From arrival to departure took us about 3 hours. Actual time in the lines was probably about an 1.5-2 hours. Pictures are taken of you riding the last line and tricks are authorized. Everything was very reasonably priced. The staff was very helpful and a lot of fun. Highly recommend Foxfire. Also don't ask where the term "foxfire" came from. The story is disbursing. We really did enjoy the time we spent here, but the manager (older blonde woman) kind of soured the experience with a bad attitude. I'm all about customer service, even some of the least expected joints end up a great experience simply because of the customer service: this place was the opposite. I bought a gift card through some kind of ticketing company (or something like that-I have no idea) and forgot I had bought it, and apparently there is a rule that you can only use those cards on activities, not merchandise, but we had already paid for our activities, and our boys didn't want to zip line. The poor kids at the front desk hd to keep going to the back to ask for help figuring it out, all while answering the phone and helping other customers. The manager just sat in an office ignoring everyone until I guess she realized the really needed help, and out she came with her attitude. I apologized TWICE for not knowing I couldn't use the gift card on merchandise but she didn't say anything. No "it's no problem" or "it's ok, not a big deal". Clearly, having to deal with customers is not for her. She refunded our money, but that doesn't make up for her rudeness. Also, I didn't know that they gave veteran discounts until it was too late, and she didn't offer to refund the 10%. I would look for someplace more locally operated, they are usually friendly and not so unprofessional and rude. read more

What an absolute hoot! We took a zip lining tour in Costa Rica that was truly dangerous. At no time during our Goliath tour did I feel unsafe. Just purely exhilarated and screaming with joy - sailing across the tree tops at 55 mph. I even got the gumption to do the Spider-Man upside down move on the last 'zip'. My husband chickened out so you know I had to do it. With us in our group 79 woman and an 82 year old man celebrating her upcoming 80th birthday. So age and physical abilities aren't a factor. This place is AMAZING!!!! Those visiting Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge MUST check out Foxfire. As someone who visits the area at least once a year to see my in-laws, I noticed just this summer that ziplining had become very popular in the Smokies. My father-in-law works the concierge desk at a gigantic timeshare company in the area so he had ample time to research the "best" zipline in town. What you'll notice once you drive into town off I-40 is that there are a lot of signs for zipline companies. DON'T FALL FOR ANY OF THEM!!! Some of them look really shady from the road. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. Their gear is clean and you can tell it is quality stuff - certainly something that comes in high on my list when I'm hanging 150 feet above the earth. The guides are helpful, patient, knowledgeable and fun. Everyone in our group was nervous for the first zipline, but the instructors go over everything in detail and immediately put your fears to rest. Each zip was unique from the previous - providing an experience that doesn't get old. Rule of thumb, don't go with the cheapest company --- go with the company that has the nicest safety equipment, expertly engineered ziplines, breathtaking views, and fun guides -- FOXFIRE!!! My family took the 7-zip tour which consists of 3 "how-to" zips and 4 breathtaking zips. What's important to note is that Foxfire is the ONLY ZIPLINE COMPANY THAT HAS REAL HANDLEBARS ON THE PULLEY. This is important because rather than just hang and zip across a line, at this company you actually can hang onto secure and firm handlebars. Another thing I noticed when I looked at other zipline tours, this is the only company that has ramps leading onto the landing platforms. Again, this is SUPER IMPORTANT! When you're zipping along at high speeds about to land onto a flat platform, you don't just want to "hope" you make it. Foxfire intelligently built ramps onto each platform, making landing a lot easier! Lastly, we had the best guides Kevin & Tucker who were so funny and professional they made what was initially scary so much fun. Try and ask for them --- they really were awesome!! I hope the other guides are just as fun! I will definitely be telling as many people as I can about Foxfire. When we went, they had only been open for 2 months. They will be adding Segway Tours soon and I can't wait to check that out. The price of the zipline tour is $95 per person, and it's worth every penny! If you have the means, please do try and tip the guides afterwards. They work really hard and if you have a great time, TIP THEM!! I really can't say enough about this awesome company --- this really was the best part of my trip to the Smokies! read more

My family and I went zip lining on the over the waterfall course (7 lines). Our guides were Tim and Keith- they were amazing!! They answered all the questions we had and kept banter going so nobody got nervous while waiting. We had so much fun!! We would love to return again in the future. After we finished, we walked around a bit on their trails, and the adults did hard cider tastings, and our group ended up buying 4 bottles! Everything was wonderful. read more

We showed up on a rainy day, about an hour earlier than our reservation assuming it would be packed. It turns out we were the only ones there. We enjoyed a lovely solitude on the bridge to prosperity which is not uncomfortably unsteady. As someone with motion sickness, I was really worried about that but I was pleasantly surprised that it seemed pretty steady. We enjoyed the llamas, the obstacle course and walking through the property altogether. The staff was very warm and welcoming. I wish we could have done the trail to the falls but it was wet and we were afraid to slide on the mud. I definitely think it was worth the price. Conveniently located near Pigeon Forge.
