Stopped in while traveling and decided to give this coffee shop a try. The four female staff members working this morning weren't rude, but they did come across as somewhat distant and uninviting. Maybe it was just a Monday morning, but a smile, greeting, or simple "good morning" would have gone a long way toward creating a more welcoming atmosphere. I ordered a basic coffee, nothing fancy. It was decent, but unfortunately it was only warm rather than hot, which was a bit disappointing. This appears to be a chain location, so I'm willing to give another location a try before forming a final opinion. For now, my suggestion for this location would be to focus a little more on customer engagement and make sure the coffee is served hotter. A friendly greeting and a hot cup of coffee can make all the difference when there's so many other coffee options. read more

Their app is useless. I wish they added the specials/suggestions they have written down in their stores. It is one of the coffee places where you have to customise/create your entire order (which syrups? how many pumps? etc). While I understand the appeal for some, I prefer to have at least a few options that I can just order directly off the menu. Sometimes in the store they have a board with written 'suggestions,' but they never add it to their app. It has stopped me from ordering here many times. Their biggest issue, however, is their pricing. It is ridiculous compared to other cafes in the area. When they first opened, their pricing was reasonable enough, but seemingly overnight their prices doubled! It wasn't even gradual. Ordering two simple lattes here costs nearly $20 (plus tip, which even the app expects). For reference, ordering the same thing at another local cafe (like Ellianos), is around $12 (plus tip) and you can comfortably order from the app. The staff are friendly and the store is tidy. The coffee is usually above average, but I've had some poorly made lattes as well and can't justify the price. I also think asking for a tip on every order is ridiculous, though. What is there to tip? Even the app asks for one before your order is even finished. I know it is common for coffee shops now, but I think it needs to be addressed. This wasn't a tippable (barring an exceptional experience) service before COVID. They're just doing their jobs as baristas, and Foxtail is already highly priced. It's greedy. If someone wants to leave a tip, they will. They don't need to be prompted every order. read more

This is a fun little shop. They have coffee and ice cream so lots of reasons to go. I have a friend wo is a doctor at the hospital next door. He said it is his favorite place to go for chai tea. We took the grandkids for ice cream. They don't advertize the kids cup, but the young lady behind the counter recognized that a smaller portion might be better for them and let us know about it. I had the bananna pudding ice cream which was very good. I will stop in again to try the coffee and breakfast. read more

Great coffee shop, located a stones throw from the interstate. We had the cinnamon roll donut, fluffy dough, perfect glaze, good amount of cinnamon. Stopped here this morning for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. Cute place! Definitely has great ambience and a large selection of drinks and food items. They only had one person at the register and the line was to the door so it took a bit of time to order. When we got our coffees, they switched them up so I started drinking my boyfriends while he was drinking mine which we had to figure out ourselves and mine needed to be dairy free so that didn't start off great. The foxtail English muffin was delicious and the chocolate croissant was okay! It had a little lemony flavor to it which didn't really go with it. We definitely want to try again but we'll probably go to a different location. read more

Very Starbucks-esque. Commercial chain coffee shop. No real gluten free food options but they did have packaged mylk life oats, rice crispy treat and a gf brownie. Orlando made ice cream. Coffee was good even though it was served unmixed with all the syrup settled on the bottom. barista was very backed up. read more

This is only the second day this place has been open so it's super busy...good to see. They are still working the kinks out but mostly going smoothly. The staff is very nice! I ordered a macchiato but it's not the same as when you order it from Starbucks. These drinks are more "authentic" so keep that in mind when you order. The space has a good amount of seating. Table or a bar area at the windows. We will be back to try more off the menu. read more

It's ok. Kind of "gift shoppy". There's an ice cream bar. That kind of tells you it's not sure what it wants to be. The inside is crowded with stuff. I find there are a couple different kind of coffee shops: 1. The kind that sells overly sugared, overly creamed drinks 2. The kind that sells coffee where can actually taste coffee. Foxtail is a great coffee shop. This location is in a nice area. Atmosphere is wonderful. Staff is friendly. It all looks very clean and modern. Coffee is solid. The seasonal drinks are tasty. Prices are fair but sometimes on the higher end. Overall it's a great shop. read more

It didn't taste anything like chai. Tasted like straight water with a bit of cinnamon, from the photo you can see that it didn't have much color to it. Chai is suppose to have a darker color to it. Don't recommend getting the chai tea read more

We first tried Foxtail for a dessert after a date night. The espresso milkshake was divine, so I kept coming back--I love a good coffee splurge occasionally. My last visit was a nightmare. I use a French press at home but didn't have time to make it, so decided to use the app to order a French press on my way in to Fernindina last Friday. It was ready when I arrived so the convenience was there. Unfortunately it was awful. Whoever made it did not press out the grounds and the bottom third of the 12oz cup was full of grit. Leaving ground in the coffee also throws off the taste as they continue to steep as time passes. I drank what I could because I NEED coffee in the mornings. When I came through on my way home I showed them the grounds in the cup and all I got was "I'm so sorry; that's not how it's supposed to be". What they do well, they do well but heaven help you if you need anything remade. read more
