I have been coming to Foxy Nails for around five years to get pedicures and in the past they have been satisfactory. Nothing crazy but your basic pedicure. I don't like the dead sea products that they offer so I always refuse them. Today I paid $40 for a gel pedicure and it is the worst pedicure I have ever had. The technician cut my toenail too far and made it bleed on the side. Then they switched technicians on me halfway through and the woman who did my gel polish did a horrible job. Upon entering Foxy Nails someone from across the salon will holler out to you "What are you here for?" And to most people its obvious this is to stage their customers. But I do have a problem with hollering back that I need a lip or brow wax loud enough for them to hear you back which allows the whole store as well. For the love of privacy, could you folks please use your reception desk to receive your customers as they enter the store instead of humiliating them? If this were a rare occurrence I would cut you some slack. But it happens every damn time! Since this is best practice for your salon, I for one, won't be back. read more

Great nails! It's been about a week since I have gotten them and they are still in great shape. I paid $45 for them (40 for full color gel and $5 for design) if they aren't busy they take their time and are great but if they are busy they might rush through your nails. Best to go in when there's not a wait if you can. She did exactly what I asked for and was kind. They have a large staff so even if there are about 10 people there you might not have to wait. I was hurried back to a chair (no basin water) and ignored so I got up and was washing my hands a couple steps away. An older lady approached me and asked what I was doing and why? I explained I had been gardening and had dirt remaining so I was washing. She turned the water on and told me to rinse and sit down. At this point I was just floored by how I was feeling but ok I sat down. Again, sitting without basin water and she walked away. When the Madam returned, she filled up the basin while shaming me for not wanting gel. She turned and walked away.... and I put my feet in the water and it was filled with pure hot water so I shrieked. Asked the worker if she could adjust and was told to wait till the Madam returned. I've been going to Foxy Nails for five months now, and I have had only great experiences there. I've always been able to get in quickly as a walk-in and the quality has been great with beautiful, long-lasting designs with no lifting. In particular, Steven has done GORGEOUS nails for me! Their manicure prices are very reasonable, but their pedicure prices are a little steep. I've also had an eyebrow waxing here that turned out great and was very reasonable. Despite seeing how bad the reviews were, I decided to stop in for a pedicure anyway. My experience here wasn't as bad as other reviewers' but I may just have gotten lucky. They have 3 options for pedicures, and I chose the cheapest one which was a basic sea salt pedicure for $30. It wasn't bad, but I don't think it was worth the money just to have my foot lightly washed and rubbed with lotion for 20 minutes. I wish they would have buffed off the calluses on my feet because I would much have a better quality pedicure for the price. The polish was nice and it still looks good today. Overall, I would probably try somewhere else next time! read more

Every time I've been to this salon I've had someone else and I've never been disappointed. I get the same quality from any of the artists. I have never lost a nail, I always have to go get them taken off. Because they do such a great job and run their salon efficiently and cleanly, I put up with a few things. When we first walked in today, I brought my family with me and we were a group of 5. One of the nail technicians was so kind and welcoming when we had came in and of course we followed the hand washing rule before we checked in. The wait wasn't that long, it was only about 10 minutes overall. The issue today was one of the female technicians there named Quyen Phan, I got a full acrylic set with her and customer service skills need a lot of work. When I sat down to get my fingernails done, she and the other nail technicians there never even told me that I needed to wash my hands again after my pedicure. When she found out I didn't she got pissed and gave me such an aggressive tone after sitting back down she asked me to bring out my personal nail kit. I assumed it was the first one I had gotten and when I showed it to her she laughed in my face and made me feel like an idiot. Once she started working on my nails, she was mumbling words from under her breath that felt quite negative along with lecturing me about the pandemic at the moment. Even though she kept laughing and pulling her mask down, focusing on her co-workers instead of me. I apologized and she still acted so rude to me, treating me as if I was stupid. It made my mood all bitter and sour, I wanted to just leave because of her attitude. She even got upset because I told her I wasn't paying for everyone in my group. Despite her rude behavior, I still gave her a tip of $5 because she did a decent job on my nails. However, when my boyfriend was paying for my nails, I told him I already tipped her and to not tip her because I did. She took his card and she said she put another $5 as her tip, my boyfriend was flabbergasted by that and just let her do so. My wife went in to get her nails done, with gel acrylic. They gave a three week guarantee. The nails chipped within two days.When she went back and they tried to charge her $25. They eventually honor their guarantee and fixed the nails. The owner of the salon was rude and demanding. They made her wait an hour and a half to fix her nails, when it was their fault. I'm surprised that there were even two stars ratings for this business. Perhaps the raters do not understand Vietnamese and didn't realize how rude the staff is. A small group of us came in to have our nails done. Seeing that I was the only Asian in the African-American group, the man immediately asked me if I were Korean? (no) Thai? (no) Chinese? (no). I speak and understand Vietnamese fluently, but never tell the Vietnamese business folks that I do. And I'm glad I did that. I was APPALLED at the utter disrespect the staff showed their customers on whom they were currently working. Speaking in Vietnamese, they criticized white people for being cheap and for smelling badly, made racist comments against my African-American friends, and I will spare the rest of what was said because it completely disgusted me. The staff people were very low class people. I wished somebody had videotaped the situation especially when one of my friends asked me, for everyone to hear, "Hey, aren't you half French and half Vietnamese?" The sheer look of mortification and panic on their faces when I confirmed several times that yes, I do speak and understand Vietnamese, were priceless. "So you understood everything we said?" the man asked. Yep... I also understood being called "vain" for wanting to have a shellac French manicure, and many other epithets I don't care to repeat. After I left, one of my girlfriends remained with her mother, and they both were treated very rudely. The workers were pissed off for whatever reason, and DEMANDED to be paid even before finishing the manicure, while none of the other customers were asked to pay until their nails were done. Although I tipped the two ladies who did my nails (they didn't say a single nasty thing), I will NEVER patronize this place ever again. The one star is for the nails done by the two girls. It's not bad, but I wouldn't pay $50 for the quality of the shellac. I'd rather drive the 300 miles to Renton, and have my nails shellac'ed by Gabi at the 44th street salon. It's one thing to want to patronize local businesses, but it's another when the local business staff shows zero respect for their clients. How tacky it is to complain about the stinginess of the clientele who only left a $5-15 tip! As my nails were about done, the owner must have heard wind of this, and called one of the workers to find out how much Vietnamese I knew. There were about 3 people getting their nails done and 4 others getting pedicures with people continually coming through the door so business isn't all that bad, and I was there about 3pm on a Thursday. Was my technician on her phone talking to her mom when she first started? Yes, but it was kind of entertaining and she apologized. Could they sweep the floor a little more? Probably. I would have been glad to have been patient except when the owner/manager took other people ahead of me when I had been waiting longer.
