I went into this salon earlier today and it was probably the oddest experience I've ever had in a salon (and I've been to plenty). I sat down for my appointment, and this woman covered in dog hair comes over to do my nails. I'm not trying to judge, I just thought it was a little unprofessional, and I am highly allergic to dogs. I show her a picture of the nails that I want and say I want that deep red color and that shape. The picture showed square sharp edged nails. She began working on my nails and immediately I noticed that she wasn't getting the same size tip for each different finger. So some of my nails on the right side are bigger than the ones on the left side and vice versa. I'm not an acrylic expert, but I do know that you should get the same number tip for the index finger, the same number for the middle finger, etc. so that your hands match up. Usually nail techs will hold your middle finger to your other middle finger to measure and do this with each finger... She did not do this. but I kept my mouth shut and just let her do her thing. She then rounded off my nails on the corners to make the tip smaller. This was clearly not what I wanted, nor what was shown in the picture. I told her about three different times that I wanted her to make them more square like I had shown her in the picture. she never asked me if the shape was OK or anything... I had to chime in and keep reminding her of what I wanted. She didn't have any conversation with me and looked so uninterested, like she did not want to be there at all. Anytime she wasn't working on my nails, she was sitting there on her phone. then when I was done, she got up from the chair and whispered to her coworker. I didn't hear the first part of what she said, but I heard her ask her coworker what they should charge me. Then she said "$1000??" They both started laughing and her coworker replied with "$75". So she tells me 75. It was so unprofessional, I was appalled. I have never not tipped for my nail service in my life so this will be the first time and hopefully the last I ever tipped zero. It was so awkward and uncomfortable in there. Definitely was not a relaxing or fun experience. I don't know her name but I definitely do not recommend the white woman with red hair. it was a completely unprofessional experience and I am very dissatisfied with my nails. read more

My experience was very pleasant! Ti the owner checked me in. I had Jamie as my nail tech. She was very kind and I enjoyed conversing with her. She gave me a great pedicure. I did just a basic gel pedicure package but added paraffin wax and my feet felt amazing afterwards! I really liked how she checked things regularly to make sure they looked great and she was gentle on my feet. Her eye for detail was there! For instance, when scrubbing my feet with the pumice stone, she would feel my feet to see if there were spots that could use some more scrubbing! & I appreciate that. The salon was a little dated and their color selection was limited but Jamie told me that they were putting in an order soon. I usually do OPI's Big Apple Red but they didn't carry any OPI colors. I ended up going with 430 and really enjoy it. I was a little curious, I saw on the pricing sheet that you could buy a set of pedicure tools for them to use on you for $7. You could take it home or they can keep it for next time. It seemed like maybe this was for a more "hygienic" option for those who wanted it. I was then curious on their sanitation process for the standard tools they use for everyone.... I'll have to ask next time what the kits are about. A regular gel pedicure was $45 and the paraffin wax was $7 so it came to $52 at the end! Not too bad. Pricing is comparable to other salons in area. Great place for an adult pedicure, prices are very reasonable. but do not take a little girl for paint - they charged me $15 for fingernails and $15 for toenails. $30 for nothing more than basic paint that took less than 10 minutes. I've never paid more than $5 to have my daughters nails painted while I get a pedicure. Their basic adult pedicure is $28!!! To charge more for a 4 year old to have some paint put on her nails.....I'll never do it again. I'm happy with my pedicure, but i couldn't be more upset about the cost for my 4 year old's simple paint job. read more

They indicated they called and left a phone message as well as insisting I made it for that day but I have no log of any incoming call nor message and when the number was verified the last 4 sounded as though they could not read their own writing. The nails are hit or miss, but the pedicures have always been good. I've only been 2 times and I haven't been 100% pleased with my acrylic sets. T (the owner) is really friendly and quirky, but sometimes she's super busy so she'll do the majority of your nail and then another technician takes over. I don't like this cause it loses continuity and if the 2nd tech doesn't do a good job, it doesn't matter how good T is. I've gotten dip + acrylic fills here. Both times I wasn't 100% happy with the shape or texture. I did speak up to fix it and they were nice about it. But after so many comments, it's like "ugh" and I feel annoying. If you, the expert, can't see the flaws it feels like a futile effort to keep asking them to fix their own work. PROS: The pros are that everyone speaks fluent English and they actually keep their appointment times. They also have clean tools and those massage chairs. They also have a TON of colors. If you're on a T's good side, you'll enjoy your visits. CONS: Cons are the nails are hit/miss and the prices aren't any cheaper than other salons. Tip: Make sure you arrive ON-TIME for your appointment or you'll get a load of attitude from the owner and you'll see why some have written bad reviews on her. I will start this review on a positive. I took my 8 yo nieces here to get their nails done for the first time ever and the gal that did their nails was patient and kind and the girl's nails came out absolutely gorgeous! This is where the visit takes a turn. I got my own nails done by a different lady. While doing my nails she mentioned she'd only been doing nails for 2 months. I had chosen a dark plum purple color. At least that was what color the bottle was. When she started to apply the polish I noticed it was much more red/pink than purple. I mentioned the color difference to her and she stated the polish would darken with coats. I trusted she knew what she was doing and let her keep going. By the end of my appointment I was less than pleased with the outcome (see photos) my cuticles were not trimmed/cleaned, I had paint on my fingers and cuticles, the polish was applied very unevenly. I didn't want to make a scene in front of my nieces who were having the time of their lives being pampered so I paid for their beautiful nails and, sadly, paid the $55 for my botched nail job and called it a day. First of all, AMAZING SERVICE! We were staying in Kootenai and couldn't find a salon to accommodate us. I eventually decided to check out Coeur d'Alene because we needed to go to Costco to get wine for my wedding. I saw New Nails and Spa on the directory and I was greeted very sweetly on the phone. Not only were they fitting us in, they were willing to take us at 6:30 PM for a gel manicure & deluxe pedicure, gel manicure, and 30 minute foot massage (party of 3). They close at 7:00 PM, but that didn't stop them from accommodating us. They took their time on our nails rather than rushed. We loved the result! Customer Service: 5/5 Stars - best experience I've ever had at a nail salon. They were friendly, patient, and skillful. Despite the late appointment time, they made sure we'd be happy with everything. Ambience: 5/5 Stars - spacious and welcoming, they have little pedicure chairs for kids too! Skill: 5/5 Stars - there was a bit of confusion in regards to what I wanted, but they went above and beyond to match their polishes with my picture. The artistry is fantastic - I had a mother-daughter duo that did my mani and pedi. They were very meticulous and worked at a comfortable pace. Price: 5/5 Stars - extremely fair - I paid $65 (plain polish on my toes with a sugar scrub & a gel manicure with fancy details). They charge $1 for every minute they massage. My mom got 30 minutes and feels very relaxed after her massage! Overall: 5/5 Stars - I've lived in many cities and states, but their customer service and everything was top notch. I'm very happy with the quality of service they gave us. They stayed late to accommodate my family before my wedding. I'm so grateful. There was no resentment or anger that we had a later appointment and wanted upgraded services. They also had a very gentle touch and good humor. Best salon experience I've ever had. I'm so sad I live in California - so far from this salon. If we ever return, I'll be sure to visit again. I urge you to try them out! Their prices are very fair! You get more than you pay for. Constructive criticism? My only tip for the business would be to check the temperature of the water before having the client dip their feet in the water. My water was pretty hot - I like steamy hot showers, but my mom has a bit more sensitivity and said the water was scalding. Her feet was red to attest to that. The shop is clean, accommodating they even brought me a bottle of water as i was thirsty. They have a huge selection of polish in both regular and gel as well as dip. They even have fancy stuff like chrome. Not only did my nail lady know what she was doing she's educated, friendly, and accommodating and she speaks english and has an eye for detail! So update on my review. There are 31 '5 star' reviews on this business that yelp "doesn't recommend". Read through the non recommended reviews and you'll see nothing but praise for the sa I am very excited about this BRAND NEW nail salon!! The owner is one of the sweetest ladies I know: "T" was formerly working at CDA Nails and branched out to start her own business. I have gone to her to get my nails done for about a year now and she always does a fantastic job! She genuinely cares about making sure you are satisfied. I know her hard work and gracious attitude will transfer over to her new business! The salon is right at the corner of Atlas and Prairie. Next to Snap fitness. It is a much bigger space than I expected and larger than most nail salons. It is being decorated and painted nicely. She is very meticulous with making sure it looks just right! It's still in the beginning stages, but it seems to be coming along very well so far! I was desperately in need of a mani/pedi before going out of town and couldn't get in to my regular girl; so I put in a search for the best nail salon in my area. This salon had 98 reviews (which I didn't read) 4.5 stars and immediately called to schedule an appointment. They could take me immediately and I wound up with the worst mani pedi I've ever had. My cuticles and nails were in horrible shape and needed a lot of work. The girl asked if I liked my nails long or short and I said short. Unfortunately she cut them extremely short, so short my toes are sore and they have never been so short. She also cut my 2nd toe on my right foot. My cuticles still look awful and some are covered with polish. I hope she can learn from this review and improve her skills, because she's a nice lady. read more

I picked my color out & guess I should have asked about pricing since it was not labeled on the polish choices ring (like many other places I've been) or posted anywhere; asI went to pay I was told it was $20 EXTRA FOR THE GEL on my toes.... like wtf.... a $65 dollar pedicure- is this the Waldorf Astoria Spa or am I in a tiny strip mall out in Hayden Lake Idaho?! The tech apologized & said he should have told me, it was his first day, & I should ask the owner lady about it... bla bla bla. Pedicure was a decent one at least.....my toes look good, however I simply wanted clean nails- clear regular polish... well the polish he used seemed to be old & lacked any sort of quality. I called later in the day to ask what the cost was to add gel to a $45 upgraded pedicure- she told me $15. MY ASSUMPTION IS SHE (OR THEY) ARE WORKING CLIENTS FOR AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE DUE TO BEING SHUT DOWN RECENTLY.... which I semi understand & even respect but chose some pricing to stick with & be honest about it up front. We've been coming here for nearly a year now and have always left extremely happy. "T" is wonderful, fun, and a talented nail tech. She has lots of colors and polish styles to chose from which is great for someone like me who likes more than the average. She's great at nail designs and is open to being creative. My favorite thing is that I can book my appointment ahead and she doesn't take other walk-ins when she is supposed to be doing me like I've experienced at other salons. This place was ok. I had a couple of big issues but I'm willing to give them another try because it may have been an off day. 1. We had a 4:30 appointment and didn't sit down in a chair until almost 6 and I wasn't the only person who was sat WAAAY after their appointment times. Don't take appointments or manage the walk ons better. I'm guessing maybe they were really busy because everything was opening back up due to COVID 2. The staff was so nice. I enjoyed everyone that worked on me. 3. They had two little kids helping out which I found strange. 4. My painted toes and the flower design came out very cute but the guy who did the rest was just ok. My big toe hurts today and I think he must have cut too close or something. The massage wasn't long enough and I asked for an extra good scrub for callous removal because probably like everyone else I hadn't had a pedicure in months and he didn't scrub long and hard enough. 5. Price was pretty good. I paid $35 and that included the flower design. 6. I don't know if they were under construction or what but the walls weren't fully painted and there was exposed ceiling tiles. Weird. Overall I'll go again and give them another try, hopefully I can change my review the second time around. read more
