Lots of garlic butter on a toasted bun! We made the mistake of using the APP to order and saw the weirdest address...inside the mobile home park on the corner of CI and Harbor at a Pest Control business! Crazy!!! We finally found the truck by the events!

Yes, first off, it is expensive and they serve you small portions. But its Lobster! from Maine! of course its going to be expensive!!!! The lobster rolls, lobster tacos are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!! And I'm not related to them in anyway, I didn't even liked lobster that much before. But the first time I tried one of their cold lobster rolls I was hooked. Now I can't wait until they come back on the 7/17 to the Channel Islands Harbor... Check them out. http://www.cousinsmainelobster.com/ Now I did try the Grill-Cheese truck, I'm not sure what they were called, I just wanted to try them because of the size of the line, I figured they have to be amazing grilled cheeses. NOPE! Mediocre at best. I can't believe I spent over an hour waiting for one of these things. I don't even eat cheese and I made an exception this time because I thought I was going to try the best grilled cheese sandwich ever! Sadly it was just a plain white bread with a few types of cheese not even melted all the way. YUCK! Anyways, they did have tons of other trucks there and it is a definite must go for everyone that loves all types of food.

Prices are a bit less, ranging from $19 for Teppan Chicken with rice or a Yaki Soba (noodles) Chicken. We shared their pricier (but very delicious) Takumi Combo at $29 with choice of 2: (real filet mignon, chicken, Korean BBQ, shrimp, scallops, salmon) with fresh Teppan vegetables and rice. The order was big enough to share with two of us. Takumi only opens late afternoon until 10 pm. You can also order ahead of time via meal delivery apps like GrubHub. We highly suggest going since there are no Teppan restaurants in the immediate Oxnard or Port Hueneme area, and this food truck is surprisingly very authentic... minus the theatrical antics of a Benihana Teppan chef (which I can do without).

We picked up at their Esplanade Dr. location in Oxnard, staff were very friendly and our order was ready fairly quickly. We also ordered delivery from their 5th St. location and the food was still hot when it arrived (we are in Ventura). You get lots of food and each item we've tried is delicious. Definitely on our rotation when we get that craving for steak or seafood.

There are no fancy contracts, no drama, and no surprises--just a handshake, a date, and a headcount. I tell Wayne when we're eating and how many mouths we need to feed, and he shows up on time, fully prepared, and ready to deliver. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means everything when you're feeding a large group. The food is consistently excellent, the service is smooth, and the whole operation reflects pride, experience, and family values. You can tell this is a family-owned business that genuinely cares about doing things right. When you find people you can trust completely, you stick with them--and that's exactly why we'll continue to use It's in the Sauce for future reunions. Highly recommended without hesitation.

Very average BBQ…read more.. I'm a self-admitted BBQ purist, impartial to NC BBQ, but have also had some of the best BBQ in TX (Terry Blacks, Goldees, and Franklin), and this is simply not TX BBQ. The restaurant is situated off the beaten path in the business district, but it's impossible to miss with the huge smoker sitting out front. It's a small restaurant with just a few tables and the ordering situation is a bit wonky (just one small window to order and pickup from). The staff was ultra-friendly and the food came out quick. As for the food, it was just okay... The BBQ itself wasn't bad, but it was definitely precut and kept in warmers (this would give a pit master down in TX a myocardial infarction as this is a huge "no no"); the sides were actually really good though. The total was about $30 for lunch, which to me was a bit high based on the quality of the BBQ. Overall... Not bad, not great, but not certainly TX BBQ.
