My family has been here before, but this was my first time at Wagon Wheel Brewing Co and I automatically loved the energy and ambiance the moment we walked in. We were immediately welcomed by Juan, and from the start he was incredibly inviting, smiley, and gave off such good vibes. He genuinely made us feel welcomed the second we walked through the door. I'm not sure what his title is because he seemed to do a little bit of everything, but he explained how everything worked, let us know we could sit and come back up to order when we were ready, brought us our food, and even gave some great menu recommendations. He was so kind and attentive throughout the entire experience. The food and beer were also very tasty, and the portions were great too -- definitely worth it. Everything added to the overall experience. Being someone who works in customer service and food service myself, I take good service seriously, and Juan truly went above and beyond. He had an amazing attitude and work ethic, and he's exactly the type of person that brings people back to places. Great service leaves a lasting impression, and he absolutely did that. This place is very cute! The vibe and ambiance are definitely one of the nicer-looking breweries in town. We stopped in for a quick nightcap and just had drinks, which were good. Overall, we had a good experience. The main reason for 4 stars is the parking, it can be pretty difficult, even with the garage nearby. We were lucky to find a spot. I've been here a few times while visiting friends at the apartments and Honey Cup, and parking is usually a challenge. One personal concern was the all-gender restrooms being located together. While the stalls are individual, it felt a little uncomfortable walking out into a shared space. Additionally, two of the stalls had the toilet seats left up with urine all over them, which was unpleasant and disappointing from a cleanliness standpoint. That said, we do plan to come back. It's a cute spot with a great atmosphere for a casual night out. read more

This is the first year that we've used the facilities at Wagon Wheel Brewery for our yearly fundraising event for the Oxnard Education Foundation. The outdoor patio was fantastic and the catering was delicious. Danielle and Kate did a great job with drinks and food and Pandora is an excellent event planner. 5/5 stars . I keep going back because it's close to home and it's good ! I am obsessed with the chicken nachos and I really enjoy their burgers with fries ! They hbd this strawberry salad ( add chicken ) that I love ! Their happy is until 5:30pm. I do wish they'd extend it until 6pm. Maybe perhaps a Monday happy hour until 7pm , since usually a slower day . BJs has it for longer but of course , they food and beer does NOT compare! There's parking in the back but those spots are taken most of the time . I prefer to park in the structure . The first two floors are reserved for parking for retail / restaurant customers. I enjoy the food , special dinner events , the games they have on, the live music, cocktails , the ambiance and of course the beer. Everyone that works there is so sweet . We came with a group of 12 - on Sunday evening around 6pm. Found plenty of parking in the parking structure (follow the signs, level 1 & 2) 10 house beers on tap and maybe 6 more guest tap list. [some cans were available to go] Also they offer mixed drinks, and a menu from tacos, pizza to burgers. There was a huge private event outside (it was ending shortly after we were arriving). So I don't know if the outside area is usually open to sit? There was no problem finding seats inside, took two of the large benches. Service was very good, from the start to when ordering - to bringing the food later. I had already We ordered tri tip tacos, road rash , onion rings, wagon wheel sour (mixed drink). I've been to Wagon Wheel three times now and have had very different experiences. The first time I visited when it first opened, it was a cute and nice experience overall. On my second visit, I went with family and my two young kids (both toddlers). The restaurant was practically empty -- just us and two other tables. My 3-year-old got restless and ran around the table for a moment, and a staff member very rudely told me that he "almost knocked down a lady holding a baby" and that I needed to control him. I completely understand the concern, but the way it was handled was unnecessarily rude and shaming. To make matters worse, that was also the second time I had found a piece of glass in my drink, which was very unsettling. That visit left me disappointed enough to ask for the check right away. That said, I decided to give Wagon Wheel another shot -- and I'm glad I did. On my third visit, I brought all three of my kids, and this time the staff was incredible. Special shout-out to Priscilla, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. She gave my kids coasters to color, lemonade to sip on, and treated them with kindness instead of judgment for just being kids. That kind of thoughtfulness goes such a long way for parents. The food also redeemed the experience -- the carnitas pizza was hands-down one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted in my life! Overall, Wagon Wheel has been hit or miss for me. I've had both negative and very positive experiences here. If the service stays consistent like my last visit with Priscilla, this place could easily become a favorite spot. read more

Opened up 2026 by hitting this space for a birthday celebration! It did not disappoint! It was packed but not too packed to where you were bumping into people. It's a great space for groups to go, eat, celebrate and if you can catch the Wine Slow event, then you'll be in for a night of good music! Ordered some fried pickles and sweet potato French fries and they were good and plentiful . Would definitely get the again! First time here, came for a private event. I was surprised by how spacious it was, it seems there is also a second level. Service was quick, you order at the counter and they serve you your drink immediately. They provide a taster if you're undecided about a drink. I didn't try any food this time but they seem to have some good options. They were also doing trivia night and after checking their website they also hosts other events such as country night, stand up comedy, etc. There is a small 2 hour parking lot on the side and street parking, but if on a busy night parking may be a little difficult. read more

GETTING HERE: Located across Oxnard Blvd. from the Home Depot/BJ's area at the 101/Wagon Wheel split. REVIEW: I've had Wagon Wheel Brewing Co. bookmarked FOREVER. And, in only reading reviews from other Yelpers, I think I missed v. 1 of WW. No matter, as I don't have anything to compare it to, which could be a good or a bad thing, depending on your point of view. Now, it might seem odd for a person who doesn't drink to visit this brewery (?), but I Yelp for the food photos, and there were many pics posted here that caught my Yelper eye. The service was really good. Especially since the staff could tell I didn't belong there (haha), as I don't know anything about beer. But, I explained my perspective and was seated down the steps to an inside area. I just missed HH by a few minutes, but thankfully, they still honored the menu pricing. I ordered a really flavorful pepperoni pizza and a virgin marg. that was outstanding and had so much flavor. For a quick bite with a trendy vibe (and live music!) I would recommend Wagon Wheel. There's a lot of amazing things I can say about The Taproom, but I think the most succinct way of putting it is this place feels like home. The ambience is perfect - there's a balance of familiarity and comfort that one finds in a locale that tries hard to be inviting and at the same time there's the new and different with the fact that the brewery itself is attached to the main bar and in full view. The food, particularly with its recent happy hour additions, offers both comfort in terms of staples such as sliders and fried pickles, with a nice touch of uniqueness such as their chorizo queso dip and taco cups. There's something for everyone, and honestly everything tastes amazing. Credit to their amazing chef that not only has crafted a worthy menu for all patrons but also pushes the boundary with regular specials (the chicken and chorizo fajitas are to die for). While I'm not a beer drinker myself, I give credit to the amazing brewers for having something for everyone. Even I've found something they make that I've enjoyed on a regular basis, and if beer isn't your thing, the cocktails are well made and do an amazing job keeping you satisfied (thanks to Connor and his recipes). And then there's the bartenders - an incredibly fun and diverse mix of folks that all have their own personalities but all work towards making the place inviting. It's rare to go to a place where I know that it doesn't matter who is serving me because all of them are amazing and fun and simply make my night. There's too many to list, but Juan, Manny, Carla, Kate, Kaitlyn, Caleb and Connor, just to name a few, are so awesome. Props to the restaurant as a whole for cultivating an all star cast of folks that keep me coming back as a regular. I'm not sure what more there is to say but simply this: come to the Taproom, enjoy some drinks, have some amazing food, and feel invited and happy at one of the best places in Oxnard to hang out. Carla, the hostess, makes me feel right at home, is very attentive and conversational. Will always order their Salsera Sour - not the biggest fan of beer, but this one is a good combination of different fruity flavors to make me happy. Overall it was great. Chef was very hospitable and even met with us during the busy hours, very nice and we and the guests felt welcome. Staff were okay. The event was a "luncheon" after a baptism. Supposedly, we were gonna come early to decorate, but we opt out, so then We came in on the dot, at 11:30am. When we came in, doors locked and about 10 mins standing at the front door, Connor opened the doors. It is a family affair. I informed Mr. Jamison that there will be little ones and he said there will some games available outside to get entertained. There was not. Connor (manager on duty) said he was gonna put it out but hours passed, event over, nothing was brought out. It Food: i ordered sliders (regular & Baja) but we ended up having the habaneros, some guests are not so happy with it, they couldn't handle the burn and sodas were served last ( we asked about it 3-5 times before they served it). The pasta was a bit soggy with a bland taste but we love the chips & salsa, were freshly made for sure, and salad those were great. Churros were great too. Connor could improve on his customer service skills, a guest felt that he was rude to her for asking some churros but he said it's $2.50 per order, i mean we are already paying, did he think that any of the guests couldn't afford it? If so, I can add that on the bill, & we all know some people are not good with RSVP-ing that's why i leave a little room if we have to order more. WHO KNEW? This brewery sits on the old sight of the original "Wagon Wheel Restaurant." The manager told us the signage and wagon wheels out in front were from the original restaurant. Nice touch to pay homage to Oxnard's history. This was the first time we went to The Wagon Wheel Brewery and we were so pleased from the delicious IPA options and to the food. This brewery is so beautiful and contemporary...The tables and chairs were pretty and comfortable as well. . . not at all like other breweries. We sat in total comfort and luxury...at least it felt like that to us. Jose was our bartender and he was so friendly, polite and professional. We will be returning on our next visit to Oxnard. I have been wanting go check this place out and since we were early for our reservations to another place, we decided to go here for some drinks and appetizers. The place is so beautiful! I also love how open and bright it is. I had their "Frida" drink which alcohol free and delicious. I love their chips and dips appetizer! You get to chose from three different options.
