I decided to take my kiddo here because we wanted to do something different from his normal cut. Wanting to find someone really good and precise, I turned to Yelp. Fraga has lots of great reviews. After checking which barbers were mentioned in reviews, I found that Marceles came up a bunch. He has fantastic reviews, so I happily booked my son with him. Upon arrival, the shop was very busy, and you could see the guys in the main room were very good at what they were doing. When it was my son's turn, I showed Marceles a photo of a fringe cut that I wanted for him. Marceles hesitated and told me that the texture cuts were just not really his specialty. He recommended that I go with one of their guys who had a "salon background." Okay. I fully respect the honesty and very much appreciate him not taking on a style that is not his forte. True professional. They had a barber that was available to do the cut and was knowledgeable in texture. Alkin took over in the 2nd room. I showed him the photo of what we wanted, and another gentleman translated a few things as Alkin spoke semi-limited English. Alkin was very nice, and he took his time cutting my son's hair. The haircut turned out pretty cute, but unfortunately, it doesn't really look like the photo I showed him. It's a good amount shorter, which is disappointing because we grew it out for this. I didn't point it out since once it was cut too short, and there's no way he could make it any longer. I just thanked him, got his brush/product recommendation, and paid. To be clear, it's a good cut. It's just not what I showed him. Plus, it was $48, including tip. Not a cheap kids cut. I knew that going in, but I expected it would look like the photo. In my mind, more expensive would equal more precision. I'm thinking we may try again with Antonio once my sons hair grows back out again. He was one of the guys that Marceles mentioned as being really good with texture cuts. Antonio has lots of good reviews. Looks like he's the owner. I couldn't find any Yelp reviews for Alkin, so I'm guessing that he may be newer. Again, the cut is definitely cute. It's just not quite what I showed him. It's much shorter. Ah, well. We enjoyed our experience at this local business in the Ville! I took my 7 y/o son for a haircut and was pleasantly surprised by the craftsmanship that these barbers do for each and every client. I say this because my experience with my son has been super quick haircuts at local chain hair cutting joints. We have had a few bad experiences with those and hence our search for something better. Me and my son just paid $60 for some haircuts we could have got at rios for $9.95. I used to come here a couple years ago and would get a bad ass cut...i told my son next time we are in town I know this place that cuts great hair!! My son had to go back and try to get it refaded cuz this guy went straight across. Like a straight line!!!!! And two weird chunks of hair missing out the sides... I was sporting a man bun before I went...i was going for a slick back cut....and not only is all my hair gone my sides couldn't be blended cuz if some dumb excuse....so now I have to wear a hat for the next 2 months for this to grow out find another barber and get the dam slick back look I wanted in the 1st place!!!! Antonio did a bomb job recreating the pic I gave him and made sure the cut was personalized to fit my taste. I've never been this happy with my haircut before, so I definitely will be returning. The shop on its own was also awesome, I loved that they had tv's everywhere so you could watch a show from any angle while your barber worked on you. read more

Fraga don't get me wrong is a great barber shop but this last time I went I'm not sure if I will go back. Got a facial hair fair clean up and it turned out like this....Terrible. First, the ease of scheduling an appointment was terrific. The atmosphere was pleasant and professional. We were greeted when we walked in. Mr. Fraga was warm, calm and patient with my little boy for his first haircut. My son did a great job in the beginning, but I think after a short pause to schedule an appt, he was over the haircut. Not a fan. Took my 3 boys here and one guy was pretty good with my autistic son who was very picky about his hair so kudos to him. My boys have longer hair and I'm fully aware this is a barber, but at minimum they know to give a proper part, to cut hair when it's either dry or wet, never both, and if cutting curly less is more because curls shrink. My other 2 boys had a different man and he gave zero defined parts, cut one side wet and the other side dry (if it dries re-wet it as curly hair is different when dry vs wet), and cut one boy's hair so incredibly short it left him in tears and I'm now cutting it to try and fix all the imperfections so it at least makes sense. He offered zero hair product or styling to complete their looks. Salon was also filled with hair all over the floor, no sweeps the entire hour we were there, I literally walked through piles of other people's hair. I did not expect Rezo or Diva level perfection here, but I expected more than a super cuts type of job given these are $40 haircuts. read more

Best friend got me and my two sons, 15 and 9, cuts before his wedding tomorrow. Best experience for all of us getting our hair cut EVER. Dom is a hands down artist and professional. I usually keep my hair tight with a #1 on the top with a high to medium fade to skin. I haven't had a cut since July just due to Covid. I've been wearing a hat for two months. Dom gave me the best cut and shave ever. He also made adjustments to my kids cuts that turned out fantastic. Can't say enough good things about him. The environment was also fantastic. Fraga Barbershop has been my go to barber since 2018. My husband and I are super picky about haircuts and beard trims. This is, far and away, the best barber I've ever experienced. I know a guy who drives from Dallas to get his haircut here. Amazing cuts by carefully trained stylists. All the barbers wear a shirt and tie. You'd never guess that such an excellent old school barber shop was in such small and unassuming shopping center. For a very special experience, set aside some time and go for the "full service." Initial appointment canceled. Luckily a same day was available. Went in for a men's haircut. Place is clean and in a good location. Staff was friendly but didn't seem to take it seriously. (lots of joking, starting and stopping of work, racial jokes, etc). Furthermore Pedro Fraga did not come even close to what I asked for. By the end it was clear that he was over it and in fact did not cut all my hair. Perhaps out of practice with his shears or didn't have any investment in providing a good service. I had an appointment with Antonio at 11:00 and I show up at 11:02 and He wasn't there. Then he show up at 11:30 and told me he couldn't cut my hair because I was late. It seems like the 5 minutes period doesn't work. Then he said other barber was going to take care me and I waited for another 30 minutes and never happened. read more

I was super excited to try this place out as I recently moved to Pflugerville and was looking for a new barber. I tried to explain the type of cut and fade I wanted, but the end was result was a complete opposite. The fade was way too high. Not sure if there was a miscommunication but I was throughly disappointed as I had high hopes. I contacted them through email to express my experience and asked for a refund...but still a month later, I have yet anyone to respond and get back to me. Hair cuts aren't cheap, therefore it is bummer when you have to pay and wear a product you aren't happy with. I'm sure they provide great experiences for many others, but my first time was a let down. read more

My husband just got his hair cut here and I have to say I'm extremely unimpressed and underwhelmHis hair looks NOTHING like the picture he showed them. To be honest, it looks like something some at a discount hair salon could have done for half the price and half the wait time. He also said the shop looked really dirty. My advice... save your money. I had been growing my sons hair out for the past 3 years. He finally asked me if he could change it up and also had a picture of what he wanted it to look like. I searched for a good barber shop with great reviews and came across this one and scheduled with Adam. All I can say is I could have cried he demolished my boys hair and gave him the biggest and most crooked as hell looking FOREHEAD ! It looks nothing like the picture I showed him! If I could put no stars that's what it would be! Not only was it the worst haircut he has ever had but the most expensive at that. It's unfortunate I can't write about a cut because it didn't even get that far, however I can write about an experience (as brief as it was). I had an appointment for my son today. We were early-we actually got there before the barber-Dominic. My sons hair is long & curly so it's been a struggle to find someone we trust enough to cut it. He had football today (which makes his hair even crazier then normal) so I offered to comb it out if needed. ALL we wanted was a TRIM & a LINE UP. That's it. That's all. In the two minutes we were there he looked at the clock no less than 5 times. He made it so uncomfortable with him acting as if he didn't know if he could do it /have time for the BOOthat I actually said "do you not think you can do it" to which he replied "yeah but I only have 30 minutes I have other appointments ". So we left. I'm good. If you're already acting like you're not wanting to do hair & your client JUST SAT DOWN-it's a problem. We came down the street to another barber & they were immediately warm & welcoming and had NO problem cutting my child's hair. Even if I could have left no stars I would have left one still because the barber that was there talking to us while we waited was actually very nice & cared more about the cut then his own barber did.
