Harold the barber and his son who is in training. Very unprofessional. His son was 30 minutes late for an appointment. Once it's time for said appointment the son (in training) nor the "owner" express any apologies for the wait. In fact Harold the barber/owner has an attitude that I even brought up the fact we were waiting. Harold was putting his hands up telling me he is respectful to his other customers. No Harold, you were rude. You know these places cancel appointments for even being 5-10 minutes late. We are at the appointment 10 minutes early and still waited 30 minutes past the appointment time. During the appointment no one is speaking at all. At the conclusion of the appointment he did not provide my son a lollipop and reported having no more although my nephews who had appointments 30 minutes prior both had lollipops and reported seeing a drawer full. That is how Harold the barber and his son treat CHILDREN when they are upset with adults. Harold reported his son being "in training and learning", however, good customer service is explaining the issue in advance and expressing your gratitude for being patient and still waiting. Terrible, terrible terrible. Also the son "in training" costs the same amount as a skilled barber...interesting. They sped off in their fancy cars and didn't look back at the conclusion of the late appointment. No bueno Harold Sr ad Jr no bueno. Also the haircut was not good at all. read more

My husband's appointment was with Harold but when my husband told Harold he wanted to add beard trim, Harold waved him off and sent him over to his son's barber chair. My husband said that his visit was unpleasant because Harold kept telling his son to hurry up and finish with my husband because they were expecting other customers which made my husband feel very undervalued as a current paying customer. My husband assured the son that he would make sure his time was compensated. We will not be returning as Harold made it very clear that he did not value us as a new and potential regular customer. The service is excellent and the price is right. This was my first time using this barber shop and Harold Sr. did not disappoint. He is very good at making sure you look your very best. I was a little confused by the building setup. His shop is the first room on the right after entering the building. The bathroom is down the long hallway and turn left. I didn't wait but 5 minutes and his room was super nice. Harold made some great suggestions and places we need to grow my sons hair out from where the kid cut places butchered it. First off, it was one of the only places open past 6. I saw in other reviews that you should show up early, so I did and I'm glad I did. It was a little hard to find, because this isn't a standalone shop... it's inside of a place called "salons by jc," so you have to hit a keypad next to the door to get in. I asked for a pretty simple cut, and got exactly what I was asking for. Had a nice conversation, overall would say it was a great haircut experience and will definitely be stopping by much more often. They take their time in order to make sure you get the look you want. I was needing to get my head shaved, bald. Went to the old trusty yelp and found Harold the barber. I ended up scheduling with Tason. Had a great experience. He was running a bit behind but clearly communicated that to me and was apologetic for it but I understand that is life sometimes. I was impressed with the hair cut he gave the young man before me. Took his time to be sure he gave a great hair cut envelope though he was a bit behind and as I found out later he had travel plans as soon as he got me out of there. :). I had a great conversation during the cut. He took his time with mine as well and trimmed up my beard a bit. It was nice to be in a place where they are not just running you thru. I really wanted to give this a 5 star, but I can't. I'll start off by saying he was a welcoming. The work station is kept up and the barbershop alone looks put together. Now every other barber I been to when you get a line up they use clippers to clean up your hairline then a razor to edge it up. The barber just used the clippers to edge up my hairline. Also while I was in target I noticed how my hairline was choppy and uneven on both sides. When I got home my fiancé and I noticed how the back and the sides aren't faded and looks like he just no guarded the lower half of my head. The haircut was definitely half done. He might of done a better job for others so don't be discouraged by this review if you're thinking about going then why not give this place a try this is just my experience. read more

Disappointing! Harold wasn't available, so my appointment was with T. Robinson. Not sure if he's in training, but he certainly isn't prepared. Told him I wanted my head shaved bald. He went over it with clippers, and handed me a mirror. I almost thought he was joking. I said, "bald; razor bald". His response was, "oh, I don't have a razor to do that". - Even Harold asked, "You don't have a razor?!" After I left, I notice this guy missed a spot, even with the partial job he did.
