My advice - DO NOT have a wedding registry here!! This store has Awful service! It's really hard to believe that people could be so incompetent as the people who work in this store. I will say that they are friendly, but that's about the only positive I can offer. in our experience we have waited long periods of time because the staff doesn't know how to use the cash register, and don't know the products they sell, or can't find items in their storage room. One time they called us to let us know that someone had bought us an item, and when we came to pick up the item they refused to let us take it! Snob Central. Have been in this store about three times and have yet to be greeted by a sales clerk -- and girls, that's what you are despite your CCV attitude -- or even acknowledged, let alone asked if I might be looking for anything in particular. Twice I've literally stood at the counter with a clerk two feet in front of me and she totally refused to look up and acknowledge me in any way. With the state of retail today who can afford that type of attitude? Why do you passive-aggressively chase customers out of your store? Really an odd dynamic going on here and I'm happy to take my credit cards elsewhere. read more

Can not understand how anyone could give this store less than 5 stars- it's a great place to shop for wedding and baby gifts. I bought sheets and towels at a January sale- the quality is wonderful- we need small locally owned stores, (and I thought the staff was nice). read more

Excellent selection and customer service! I worked with Fraiche to create a wedding registry and they helped me every step of the way. Everyone we worked with was so nice and they have an incredible selection from flatware to everyday china and everything in between. I had been to Fraiche several years ago on a trip to Richmond and was so impressed with the level of good taste in the high quality selections. On my recent visit, my husband and I found Fraiche in a new, larger location with more wonderful items to tempt me! As a newly engaged gal, I was so excited to begin the registry process. One of my friends had registered at Fraiche and while they have beautiful items, her registry was a mess. Fraiche did not keep track of purchases, and many duplicates were purchased. Even so, I told my mom we should go and check it out to see if I would want to register there. My mother and I entered through the back door and began browsing. Not ONCE were we greeted by andy of the 3 ladies working. My mother even walked right past the register and politely and loudly said Hello! How are you? with absolutely no acknowledgement from any of the ladies working. It was a horrible experience and I will never set foot in the store again. I saw so many items I would have registered for but I will not support a business that treats customers the way my mother and I were treated. Now that J. Taylor Hogan is (unfortunately) closing, I will have to register out of town. Bottom line, Fraiche made me feel like a second class citizen and ruined what should have been an exciting and meaningful registry process. read more
