He was very patient and made the whole experience lot of fun. We were so impressed with his photos that we booked him to cover an Indian Baby shower next day . We had a huge family coming from all across the country and Eric made the whole event really memorable . Many people mentioned that they relived the event once they saw the pictures . This is a more expensive option then some of the deals you can get in the mall studios but it was so worth it! Randy suggested instead of a portrait we try taking pictures outside and suggested some great locations and aside from just the portrait of our little guy, we also do some family portraits. Anna likes doing family photography and she is talented at getting children involved with the picture. She knew how to bring out natural smiles and positions for infants, toddler and parents, and she had some good advice for how to get ready (for example, she gave a good pre-shoot tutorial about how to keep the baby out of the diaper for a while to prevent diaper wrinkles). She was also efficient. She completed the photo editing and posted the results on her site quickly (wish we could have said the same for our wedding photographer). She does a combined blend of color and black and white, is good with close-ups, and she takes advantage of natural lighting. I checked on the prices, and having seen photographers price their sessions with the apparent belief that every time they click the button they have another presentation for the Louvre, I was impressed with how reasonable her fees are. Her schedule is packed, so book early; she does make exceptions for infants (recognizing they don't stay that way for long).

Time was close to sunset, which Michael Kelley mentioned is the best lighting. We picked out the locations, I had on one outfit and Michael made it FUN! I'm no where near being a model, so posing and holding the pose was not easy, but with his skills he captured a lot of my natural self expressions. He even used REAL FILM! I was fortunate to find Dexter Washington Photography on Craigslist in 2011 and having reviewed their impressive online portfolio, I was satisfied that they would do due justice to the three Federal Judges we were inducting in three separate official court ceremonies; I was not disappointed, and neither were any of our Judges. Michael Kelley is an outstanding photographer, a friendly and professional person in general but more importantly, an efficient individual who understood the needs of the Court and was willing to work within my specifications and strict Court guidelines. He made sure to check out the courtroom and reception venues in advance so that he would be familiar with the space and of course, the lighting provided there for the best possible results. He made himself available to all our Judges, their family and guests who sought out personal portraits. Our events were so large (up to 700 guests) that he had the foresight to schedule a second photographer at no extra cost to the Court.
