Fralia's is a really great deli! The sandwiches are a medium portion, but enough to fill you up. They also have really good soup! Just don't go here for a lunch meeting because it usually gets pretty loud in here around noon. Check the website for their menu. read more

Sought out Fralia's after reading positive Yelp reviews and no regrets! Husband and I shared a bowl of chorizo potato soup, he got a Black & Blue sandwich and I got a Beef Dip (which both come with chips and a pickle), plus we got pops and a piece of pumpkin cake for less than $25. And it was delish! Our plates are clean. My only wish is that we lived closer and could come more often. read more

Took yelps advice to check this place out. Got the potatoe chorizo soup....it was fine but kind of bland. Order the mozzarella sandwich on grilled focaccia bread. Was very excited about this until I bit in and found out it was a cold sandwich. It had a good flavor with the pesto but I would have enjoyed much more warm. My mother got the Tarragon chicken salad...at first it was a weird combination but she ended up really enjoying it. The service was mediocre. Nothing really wowed me. Stopped by today on a work trip after reading raving reviews about this place. The cutest little cafe nestled amongst urban neighbors...a diamond in the rough. Decided to grab my boyfriend (visiting from another city) and try Fralias. I myself have only moved here recently and, after trying some of the local cuisine, warned him that Saginaw restaurants tend to lack a little... well, I'll just say it. Saginaw restaurants lack flavor. But Fralias. Oh my. I had the Grilled Veggie sandwich. As a vegetarian who grew up in a larger city full of a variety of sandwich shops- this sandwich from Fralias was the best. The BEST. It was both savory AND flavorful. I was actually -sad- that my meal was done. SAD. The eggplant and the goat cheese between slices of soft and fresh ciabatta bread- mmm! I'm instantly hungry again. My boyfriend got the Black and Blue and he too was very impressed. I quote: "This is amazing. The marinated beef... medallions... are just great." We honestly barely talked to each other throughout the whole meal, as we were too busy chewing. To add, we each got a double espresso. Cheap, compared to other coffee locations! Delicious, too. Finally, I got a slice of Pumpkin Cheesecake to go. So decadent and moist- I ate the whole thing with the intention of saving half. It was a Tuesday morning at 11:45am, and there was no line. But during our total engagement with the facility (perhaps an hour), there was a steady stream of people and eventually around 12:30pm there was a line. Get there early! Definitely going to go back again. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Do yourself a favor and splurge the extra few bucks you'd spend here over somewhere else. read more

Great place! Heard about it on a TV show called Under the Radar and needed to try it! It was pretty self explanatory, you go to the counter, order your sandwich, get your drink, sit, and eat. The sandwiches were soooooo good! Something so simple was so delicious. Only negative was that we were surprised by the price. Each sandwich averages around between 9 and 11 dollars with salads only costing more. My husband and I got out of there with a bill of $25. That's a lot considering it was only a sandwich with a few meats and veggies on it with a side of chips. However they seem to use top of the line ingredients, so I suppose that's what you're paying for. We would go back, just wouldn't make it a habit considering the price. I love that Fralia's is in Old Town Saginaw, and not on some strip mall off Bay Road. I've been coming here for at least 3 years and I've never gotten anything I didn't like/love. Owners of the place are pleasant and very sweet. I come here for lunch as often as I can when I'm in the city. Definitely a great lunch spot! read more

The best Cobb salad I have ever had! I work very close to Fralias and order take out or dine in very often. They are always busy but do a great job at getting food out efficiently. Was driving through Saginaw for work, and saw the yelp review, so I stopped and was very impressed! The sandwiches here are awesome, the staff was friendly, and they had great artwork on the walls and in the bathroom. One of my favorite places for lunch in Saginaw. Genuine soup-and-sandwich place with a handful of veggie friendly options between $6-10. The tuna melt is my favorite but I also love the grilled veggie and a unique grilled havarti sandwich. Good salads too. One complaint: very rarely is there a vegetarian soup, but I'm not a big soup eater anyways. And the owners are good people and active in the Saginaw community. There is a reason the place is so busy during lunch time. read more

They made it clear that we were a hassle from the beginning for being a party of 6. Then, after they messed up my grilled cheese order and one of my friend's sandwiches as well, the server told me I must've ordered wrong and walked away WHILE I was telling her what was wrong with my sandwich. I had to go back up to the counter and wait in line to get my sandwich fixed, and then they still made it wrong. When I went to the counter I told them how rude the server had been and they wrote it off, saying she was probably just busy. They scoffed at my comment that they should be nicer to their customers, and when my husband told them "we're gonna write a review online," one of the servers LITERALLY started SCREAMING at him, so we left. At that point a man who identified himself as the owner came outside and chased us across the street screaming obscenities at us. He was so busy screaming that I had to ask him 6 times if he wanted to know what really happened in his restaurant, and then he yelled, "No, I don't care what happened!" I almost called the cops because he tried to start a fight with my husband after my husband told him to stop swearing at me. I have (obviously) NEVER had an experience this bad at a restaurant before. In addition, the food (namely the Asparagus and Leek Soup) was bland and unoriginal, so I wouldn't go back even if this incident had not occurred. read more

Today I had a bread bowl with a spicy Mexican soup. Soup was good but the bowl was not as good as expected, kind of small, too. Reuben sandwich my friend had was reported to be good. Sandwich size was reasonable and enough to fill you up just right. The lunch slam (very busy) appeared to nearly overwhelm the waiters. Worth the detour from 75 on our trip back south for a great lunch. Fantastic soups, salads, and sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. Even Anthony Bourdain has been there (they had pics on the wall). The chicken soup had homemade noodles with big chunks of carrots, onions and celery. The French dip was very good and the havarti grilled cheese was some of the best I've had. The honey mustard made it special. Unique sandwich options plus all the standbys. The baked goods tasted homemade. The chicken tarragon salad was also very good. This place has plenty of options if you eat gluten free too. Well worth the detour! I'm a fan their cobb sandwich. I usually swap out the bleu cheese for mozzarella and then add honey mustard. My big brother would always come here for lunch when he was a senior in high school, so I owe my love for Fralia's to him.
