I've had some difficult experiences at establishments but never have I had the police called on me and approached by an employee screaming because the restaurant made a simple mistake. My family stopped in for breakfast this weekend and had an ok experience. We started with one server and they decided to have a second server split the table with her which didn't really work well for us. Three couples had one server and the other three had a different server. We sensed some tension between the two servers, and having waited tables in the past, I know from experience that you need to work together and not against each other. Good communication and teamwork is critical if you are going to split a table and we felt some disconnects here. One server got her orders in before the other, so three couples were eating while the other three waited for their meals. One brought ketchup and hot sauce and did not communicate with the other server so she asked if we needed any and it was already on the table. There were a few miscommunications about the orders and when one couple needed something and had to ask the server that did not take their order, there was a bit of confusion. They did bring us pitchers of ice water and a coffee jug to the table since we had a large group and they were semi-busy, which worked out well. Aside from the service hiccups, we felt the food was average and the prices were fair. I ordered a polish omelette with sauerkraut because I have never heard of such a thing before, but didn't get any sauerkraut which was disappointing. I was hungry and didn't want to complicate things so I ate it anyway and it was still good. I was also slightly confused with the 'hot cakes' items on the menu. I ordered a short stack of French toast thinking I was going to get French toast flavored pancakes since it was listed under 'hot cakes', but I got actual French toast and it was very plain. Biscuits and gravy were also listed under this heading so I should have put two and two together! Others at the table enjoyed their meals and felt the portions were very large. Those who had omelettes would have liked to get home fries or hash browns with it, but it only came with toast. They did have an Apple cinnamon jelly for the toast which isn't something you see at most breakfast spots, and it was a nice treat!
