A typical diner-type place--loud and friendly! Regulars recommended the corned beef, and we were not disappointed. I just learned of this place today, so I didn't know what to fully expect. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server very quickly. She was very nice. Jody, I think was her name. She had our drinks to us before we knew what we wanted. I ordered the Western Skillet breakfast with white toast. I was eating in less than 10 minutes. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the toast was crispy. The eggs were perfectly done. The portion size was pretty big, but I'd say for the price it was accurate. My only complaint is the fork had some soap scum on it still, but I'm not taking any points off for that when I can just wipe it off. Overall: great experience, great food, great price. The restaurant is located on the end of a strip shopping center. The decor is basic no frills. Upon arriving I was greeted and seated promptly. Since I already had 3 cups of coffee I passed on coffee and ordered water. The waitress explained a few items on the menu, and I ordered a basic eggs, sausage and toast. Just opened this second location other is in Midland. Went there today for brunch craving breakfast the staff is the friendliest I have ever experienced. Cooks and servers all were smiling and saying how is everything it was a pleasant surprise now a days. Huge portions of food omelets are amazing maybe order hash browns extra crispy they were a little lightly cooked for us. Cant wait to go back for lunch soon! Interior is freshly painted and clean. We ordered pancakes for my son and they made him Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes. We had ham and cheese omelet, veggie omelet and pancakes. Left with three boxes. read more

This will sound quite critical but you are so close to being great. Had breakfast this morning and noted that everything could have been closer to the heat. All (eggs, hash browns, toast and sausage) was on the cool side of hot. I believe too, that there should be a noticeable difference between eggs over easy and eggs over medium, as I had ordered mine. Keep trying; look to your sister facility in Midland for help. Staff was very friendly. Perhaps to assuage the criticism of the patrons. read more

We were in Bay City, MI preparing a boat delivery to Vermilion, OH. We found Lasko's based on Yelp reviews and we were please enough to have both breakfast and lunch there. The food was "great diner" quality, quickly prepared and I don't think I've ever eaten in a more friendly restaurant. My boyfriend and I have came here on 3 different occasions. first time it was good, seat fast, also food came up fast as well. 2nd time we sat near the bar. we had a full view of the kitchen and it seems like all the cooks were handing food with no gloves on and wasn't washing their hands. came there one more time and our server seemed uninterested & the food took longer which isn't the servers fault but after sitting there and seeing OUR server touch the floor, pick up food that has fall off another plate, and touch other plates without washing her hand. to me it seems like they don't care about cleanliness or take the time to clean their hands before handling food. won't be back. read more

We've eaten at Lasko's twice and they are two for two. The Reuben was delicious, tasteful corned beef that was also tender and didn't come out in one bite. Fries are great and you get a ton of them. Biscuits and gravy is good too. The ham and cheese omelette was ok. Looking forward to trying a wrap - saw some that looked delicious! The service was fast. They worked as a team and every person was smiling and friendly. The restaurant is clean and bright inside. The cook (owner?) came to our table to see if we were happy with our meal.
