I only came here since the store was featured on HBO's series 'Boardwalk Empire.' Gotta check it out! When you step inside, it wasn't a large candy store to begin with. The sales associates were nice enough, and let you roam around and take pictures. They have a nice selection of salt water taffy, and if you ask kindly, they let you taste samples of it. I had their Molasses, which supposedly was the 'original,' and it tasted great. Simply the best! I have been here a few times on my trips to AC and its always awesome. I decided to try out their mail order and placed an order on their website. I got 3 pounds of pick my own flavors (peach, strawberry, chocolate and molasses), a combo gift of one pound of assorted taffy and a box of peanut chews. If you order more than 35 bucks worth online they throw in another pound of taffy for free! Shipping was about 12 bucks via UPS so for about 50 bucks I got 5 lbs of taffy and a box of peanut butter chews. This stuff is awesome and if you have never had it, I suggest you try it. It isnt as cool as walking down the boardwalk and filling up a bag, but its pretty damn close and its available all year round online! read more

The chocolate covered everything here is delicious. Chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered caramels, and, best of all, chocolate covered graham crackers. Their macaroons are outstanding. The coconut ones are pillowy soft and the almond/chocolate almond ones have a wonderful crisp edge to them with a nice chewy center. Yes I absolutely had to try all three varieties and I loved them all. The candies are just as wonderful. I picked up a box of taffies as a souvenir for my coworkers and they all loved it. Very upsetting. Went to Fralingers in Atlantic City as I know the Fralingers in Ocean City is beyond a treat. Not this time. Came home with fudge and my favorite almond macaroons, but it was stale. Hard as a rock ! Fudge was tolerable- nothing great. They sold Johnson's Carmel popcorn (the original shop is in Ocean City- NJ. That was stale also. The almond macaroons are heavenly! They are so good! I heard about this place on the food network, so the next time I was in AC, I went searching for it. The almond ones come frozen, individually wrapped in a box. I believe they come a dozen in a box. They take a few minutes to thaw out. Everything they make is great : the many varieties of salt water taffy, the almond or coconut macaroons, various chocolates, lots of other stuff.. The young people from Eastern Europe working at the counter are very diligent and polite, they do an excellent job. One can have things shipped anywhere in the USA, I have done this a couple times as a gift, and it arrived pretty rapidly. This is a classic AC institution and a must visit! read more

Stopped by as we were heading out of A.C. to grab some fudge and taffy. We had a previous experience with some stale taffy in Point Pleasant so we were very happy that the taffy from here is soft and fresh. They have some different flavors, like Pina Colada, Cookie Dough, and Cookies and Cream. All of the flavors I've tried so far have been great. My husband also bought a piece of their Chocolate Raspberry fudge which, while pretty sweet, is very creamy and delicious. I'll definitely make a point to stop by here anytime I'm visiting A.C. in the future. read more
