The perfect blend of antique and rustic. Sadly, they are only open on Friday and Saturday and by coincidence, tend to be closed on the weekends we can get there (like this one). Gives us something to look forward to. The only con is the location. Off the beaten path and if you didn't know it was there, you'd have little reason to travel that road.

The gift shop carries unique items including jewelry, candles, pottery, greeting cards and stained glass designs. All gift shop items are hand-crafted in the United States. We made shamrocks when we went there, but the owner Michael will help you make whatever your heart desires. A bunch of designs he has made hang all around the shop and you can pick one or come up with your own concept. He helps you through the process which includes cutting the glass, smoothing it out, and soldering it together. The vibe here is very relaxed and educational.

In mid August, Jupiter Games opened on the Vestal Parkway (in the Plaza with Rite Aid, across the parking lot from Olums and Staples). This is a great game store. Personally, I'm a big fan of many of the "Euro-style" board games such as those produces by Rio Grande games. Most game stores tend to lean towards only carrying trading card games, or Miniature driven games such as Warhammer. Jupiter has a good selection of those games, but also carries a huge variety of card games, jigsaw puzzles, family games, strategic titles, and the Euro-games that I love. I make it a habit to visit gaming stores whenever I travel (God I'm a geek!)--and I'd stack this one up against anything that I've seen when I've traveled. They will be sponsoring tournaments, offer free wi-fi in store, and will be holding periodic Friday night game nights. We now have an excellent resource for gamers in the area--let's support it to keep it successful!
