Getting a hold of someone whenever I have questions have never been easier. Not only do they pickup the phone call in a timely manner, but I was never in a longer hold. A few instances happened when they were busy, but that's understandable. I am always able to message them through my portal. Anything urgent, they are on top of it. Luckily I only had 2 events when this happened. From getting my labs to any test I needed, this clinic had been a breeze! I've called several other clinics before finding out about FOWH and the rest either never pickup or they're so disorganized and unhelpful during a phone consult. The sonographers that we've had were always kind, timely and helpful. We have had some questions and they're so wonderful in addressing them. Biggest shoutout to our Dr. Mitri. He is empathetic, highly knowledgeable and is just a good human being. He pays attention to every detail, he doesn't miss any question we have and he's very good at responding to our out-of-office messages/questions. His bedside manners are exceptional. He is respectful, has a good sense of humor and does his job really well. We're so happy to be a patient at FOWH and we appreciate the staff for being great! We look forward to every visit we have.

I then had to pay for an HSG and a hysteroscopy to assess the damage. I am indeed missing my right fallopian tube. I was told they'd reimburse me for those, but I'd have to submit it through insurance. I can't bring myself to go through this process. So I'm posting my experience as a warning to other women. This botched procedure was performed on NYE of 2024, and I still have pain. I still feel intense anger when I think about how the doctor chuckled that I'd still be able to get pregnant through IVF when I was crying that I was worried I'd never be able to get pregnant again.

I've been dealing with hormonal imbalance for the past four months. I'm currently with Kaiser and have seen nine different doctors, most of whom suggested anti-anxiety or antidepressant medication. However, I knew something deeper was going on. What I initially thought were panic attacks at night turned out to be hot flashes. I often felt dismissed and unheard, which was incredibly frustrating. My wife helped me research other options, and that's when we found Thrive. After reading so many positive reviews, I felt hopeful that I had finally found a place where I would be seen and heard. My first visit with the doctor was positive. She listened to my concerns and ordered bloodwork. However, after completing my labs, I had difficulty getting a follow-up appointment. My calls were not returned, and I eventually had to use the emergency text number just to get a response. I was told I had a phone appointment scheduled at 11 AM, but I never received a call. When I followed up, they offered me an in-person appointment later that day, which I accepted. During that visit, the doctor reviewed my labs and told me a pharmacist would contact me the next day to start testosterone treatment. Unfortunately, I never received that call. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to be difficult, but dealing with hormonal issues has significantly impacted my quality of life. I've been experiencing sleepless nights, restlessness, irritability, bladder issues, and an overall sense that I'm not functioning at my best. Given that this is an out-of-pocket service, the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. I've since called and emailed multiple times without any response. Additionally, when you call their office, it goes straight to a generic voicemail that doesn't clearly identify the business, and messages are not returned. It feels like you have to constantly follow up just to get basic communication and even then, responses are inconsistent. I also want to add that I typically don't write reviews like this. However, if you are struggling the way I have been, I wouldn't want another woman to go through what I've experienced. I truly believe women should support one another and take each other's concerns seriously, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

Let's face it, no one jumps for joy over the idea of getting a pap - and some of us have had downright traumatic experiences in the past - but with Dr. Chang you can rest assured that it will be a breeze! It was over before I even knew it and it didn't even feel the least bit uncomfortable. She will also perform an ultrasound to ensure that your ovaries and uterus are structurally sound and there's no underlying issues which is a nice touch, especially since you don't need to schedule another visit solely for this as it's done in office by Dr.Chang herself! I'm so glad to have found her - a good OBGYN that makes you feel safe and comfortable is so hard to find these days but Dr. Chang is proof that they still exist!

I immediately messaged Dr. Mitri and he assisted me with a list of doctors that would help guide me through my depression. Unfortunately, my gut feeling was correct. On my 12 week ultrasound my baby was not developing well. He had a lot of abnormalities. Dr. Mitri gave me guidance on my pregnancy and referred me to a specialist. Sadly, at my 16 week ultrasound following my cvs negative results we noticed the baby did not have a heartbeat. I will caveat that perhaps your experience with this provider depends on the reason for your visit. For me, it was one and done with Dr. Fong, not in a good way. I met with Dr. Fong about 2 years ago for women's health as I was looking for a new gynecologist and also going through egg freezing at the time. I had been going to Fair Oaks Women's Health already and was switching providers because my previous provider left. I was older (around 40 years old) and had been diagnosed with low ovarian reserve (DOR). During my meeting with Dr. Fong, her comments made me feel like all of my fertility problems were due to my older age. I understand there is some truth to that, but she did not offer any other explanations. I came away feeling like "oh, what did you expect because you're old," and I felt shamed for being older. Granted, she never said that directly to me, but that was the tone. I felt dismissed during my appointment. She also made me feel like I should not expect to freeze too many eggs because of my DOR. While I understood it would be difficult and not to have high expectations, I was still hoping for ways to improve my egg freezing results. She gave me little to no hope. Well, I ended up going to acupuncture and taking herbs (which she did say could be helpful) and (after only freezing 5 eggs total across two rounds at age 39) froze 6 more eggs at age 41 in one cycle. Even worse, I got some bloodwork done, and it came back that my TSH was unusually low although my free T4 was fine. She offered no explanation and diagnosed me with sub clinical hyperthyroidism when I have no history of thyroid problems. In fact, I started seeing a Chinese medicine doctor for my fertility issues. I happened to mention my hyperthyroidism diagnosis, and he immediately asked me what supplements I was taking. It turns out that I was taking too many (didn't know that was possible!). He recommended supplements to cut out, and sure enough, my thyroid functioning returned to normal. I should mention that I specifically listed all of my supplements on my appointment form with Dr. Fong because I knew I was taking quite a few for fertility. It was particularly sad because I was excited to have a doctor with a similar ethnic background and came away very disappointed. I have fortunately since found another provider at FOWH, but I did not return for a while after such a negative experience. She seems to be good as an OB, but based on my experience, I would not recommend her to anyone no matter what the reason for their visit.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I made my annual Pap check up with Dr Chou in 12/29/2026 half year ago, when I was there for my last appointment. Today she called me to reschedule because Dr Chou will be on her vacation during that time, and she gave me the appointment in January 2027, due to insurance policy, i only allow to do annual check up once a year, if Dr can't take me this year, i will loose my benefits of this year. So I asked her can her schedule with Dr before my original appointment, she said I can't because insurance won't cover. So I said it the office fault not the patient fault, then she started lecturing me that Dr deserves a break time, vacation with family blad blad... so I told her I never said Dr can't or not allow to take break or vacation. But also it not fair for the patient too. Then she said only a week different with my original appointment, and that my appointment Pap not important. HOW RUDE IS THAT, who is she thinking and deciding that my health appointment not " IMPORTANT ", if god forbid something happens to me, and the delay of the exam. WHO GONNA TAKE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT. Beside that she had BAD ATTITUDE to talked back to the patient, she was talking same time as me, like try competing with the patient. When I want to talk to someone else, she refused and said no one can talk to me other than her. I met her at the office last year during the Dr visit at the office, she has the RUDE ATTITUDE with the patients and her colleagues too. Dr Chou really needs to talk to her about the way she handles and talks to patients. If she doesn't want to loose the patients.
