Still tasty, still friendly. This is our go-to restaurant in Snoqualmie. Not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews

Our party of nine asked if they still had the 50% off wine deal we had seen online and the sever said "probably" so we ordered two bottles with our dinner. After an extremely long wait half of the table got their food and a full ten minutes passed before the rest came out. The people who got their food first were almost done eating by the time we got our food. After our entrees we asked if we could get hot tea and were told they don't serve tea so we ordered coffee and were told they didn't have any. Who ever heard of an Italian restaurant not having coffee? The check arrived and we noticed they charged full price for the wine. When it was pointed out the server said he thought we had been joking. After much discussion he called the owner who told him to honor it but he said the best he could do was 25-% off so he created a new check.... but only took 20% off. When that was pointed out he tried arguing with us that he never said 25% off. After one of our party told him I was already writing a review he capitulated and said he would give us 25% off. So he created ANOTHER check. It took an hour for us to straighten it out. The kicker is being charged a 20% service charge for subpar service. I usually tip 25% and will often make up the difference on a service charge because being a server is a tough job but I feel aggrieved at having to pay for slow service and dealing with the server's attitude. I should mention that at the start of the night he thought he was being funny telling my friend there was no reservation for a large party and we were not there. I had to jump out of my seat and run round the corner to let her know we were there. read more

Francesco is now doing weekend brunch. My husband would rather go out to breakfast than dinner. When i saw Francesco's post about weekend brunch- i thoughts let's check it out! Not many pictures because i left my phone at home and had to get husband to take pics The restaurant is very clean yet warm and welcoming. It makes it easy to relax. The brunch menu is varied with so many appealing options. Hello Beignet Basket! Finally decided to order a vegetable frittata and Eggs Benedict California. While we waited, we had some lovely toasted bread with fresh made jam. The strawberry jam was so good- not that icky sweet pull tab stuff- this was made by restaurant. Out came our selections and to summarize- They were absolutely delicious. Flavorful, nicely seasoned plated with potatoes and fruit. This not a big breakfast gal was thrilled. Amazing ambiance and service. I love how cozy the interior is, and Francesco is a gem. He took great care of us with his food and wine recommendations. It's a little on the pricier end, but to be expected for a date night. I'm taking two stars off because I unfortunately got food poisoning from the salmon pasta, which is a huge bummer because it was incredibly tasty. Our friends regularly dine here and have had no issues, so must have been bad luck for me. read more

It's a cute interior but not upscale if you're looking for that. The bread looked, felt, and tasted like a sliced store bought loaf and served cold. But the worst part was when my plate came with a full thumb of a white glove on it. The dish I ordered had chicken and a cream sauce so that might be why they didn't see it. They were going to redo it (maybe?) I was too grossed out and not trusting they would actually recook it and not just take the glove off the plate so I left without eating. They were mortified and didn't charge us which was good, but I won't be back unfortunately because it makes me wonder how clean/dirty the kitchen is. Also not sure if it's a welcome place for diverse people (queer, bipoc, etc,). My wife and I visited for our anniversary dinner, and we had a wonderful experience! The ambiance is perfect for a date night. We were served by a very friendly and attentive Italian man who I assume was the owner. The drinks menu didn't have a cocktail list, but only a list of spirits. I asked if he could make me a Manhattan; he asked if I wanted it up or on the rocks (rocks, please); and he delivered an absolutely excellent drink to me just a couple of minutes later. I was feeling a comfort pasta dish, so I got the spaghetti and meatballs. Honestly, the meatballs were probably some of the best I've ever had. They had a nice sear on the outside (which contrasted well with the tenderness inside). It was a perfect texture combination that I didn't know I wanted. They were very well seasoned too. A wonderful mix of herbs and spices that truly enhanced the dish. The pasta and red sauce were great too. I'd go back again just for those meatballs, man. We stopped in after my son's soccer game for a late dinner on the patio. There were several open seats inside and two outside. When we came in, the server told us we could sit down but they wouldn't be able to talk to us - not even provide us with water - for at least 15 minutes. We were going to wait, but I had incredibly hungry kiddos so had to move down the street where we could be served more efficiently. Our local restaurants should be aware when we have our local tournaments and staff their restaurants accordingly. This was simply unacceptable and we will rethink coming back in the future. read more

Cute little restaurant in Snoqualmie. I enjoyed my pasta and beet salad. The staff was kind and accommodating.

I came here on a whim. My daughter had a class in the area and I wanted to grab a healthy meal. The bread is complimentary. It's yummy, but if I come back I might ask you to warm it up for me. The Cesar salad was perfection. The Chicken Picatta was delicious. Tender chicken with amazing flavor. The zucchini was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The mashed potatoes took me by surprise! So much flavor. This meal hit the spot. Perfect size. Not too heavy. It tasted so fresh and wholesome. The service was really great too. I saw my server working hard and managing all the tables. He remained calm and friendly even when a little overwhelmed. Thank you! (Parking is available on the street or behind the building.) read more

Was in search of an Italian restaurant who could host a party of teenage girls for a sweet 16th birthday and I came across Francesco Ristorante. For planning purposes I met with the owner in advance to make reservations for the large party. He was extremely gracious and offered a family style dinner menu that would would be tailored to our liking. The dinner party was a great success. The ambience was lovely and made the birthday girl feel like a true princess. Food was authentic and delicious. The casual Italian being spoken while serving our delicious meal was an added sprinkle to a wonderful evening. I can't thank the owner and staff of Francesco enough for such a lovely dinner and experience. We will return and enjoy a small family dinner soon. read more

Seems as if I will be spending more and more time in Snoqualmie these days as there is a certain fella I've been getting to know there. Not my top choice of towns, as it is so darn far from me here in North Seattle. I like to joke that it's "halfway to Boston". However when my fella took me on a date to Francescos this past Friday, I was pretty damn impressed. Luckily we weren't super hungry or in a rush, as it took probably a solid 45 min before anyone was prepared to take our food order. The owner did come over later to apologize and mentioned he was severely short staffed due to illnesses. We split an antipasti, insalate, and a chicken main. Insalate: Mozzarella Caprese $13.50 (Fresh mozzarella, tomato slices, extra virgin olive oil, oregano, fresh chopped basil) which is always a solid choice (i mean, if an authentic Italian restaurant messes up Caprese then there are more major problems to be dealt with) Antipasti: Gamberi in Carrozza $19.50 (Cocktail of large prawns, bruschetta, aioli sauce). I'm a big fan of seafood so we opted for this but be forewarned, though the shrimps were cooked to juicy perfection and the sauce scrumptious, this is a very large appetizer with 5 large pieces of bruschetta and the prawns layered on top. It was a bit too large for the 2 of us and the leftovers (3 bruschetta) went home with us as leftovers. Chicken Main: Pollo Marsala $24 (Chicken breast, sauteed with mushrooms, marsala wine). 5 stars! Chicken was moist and juicy, mushrooms were the perfect texture, and the marsala sauce was incredibly flavored. It came with sauteed seasonal vegetables and potatoes. We opted to add pasta for an additional $4. The chef-owner was helpful in helping me choose the right pasta to go with the marsala sauce as my preference was a short noodle. He steered me towards the penne and it was a good complement. The place was packed on a Friday night with families, couples, and friends and the outside terrace ambiance was also cute with lots of string lights. Definitely recommend if you find yourself in Snoqualmie in search of a good meal. Prices were reasonable to me, as I am used to Seattle restaurants but don't come here looking for family budget priced fare- you pay for quality here! read more

This is a nice little restaurant on Snoqualmie ridge. We went on a Friday night but the weather was bad and there were plenty of tables for walk-ins. We ordered the meatballs and truffle fries- both of which were good. The chicken piccata was fine- it lacked a crust when seared and the sauce wasn't as lemony as I desired. The carbonara was good. The interior is beautiful and warm and the staff were very welcoming. This place is a great addition to Snoqualmie. read more

Wow. The best Italian food I have ever had. The service was absolutely perfect. We ended up here by accident and are very thankful our usual date night spot was closed. This has replaced it. Didn't take a picture of the Caesar salad because it was gone too fast but it was better than the best I have ever had previously. Pasta was better than expected. I've never written a review mid meal but this warranted it. Dessert was also fantastic and the Tiramisu is made fresh daily. Thank you we are excited to come back! read more

Great local Italian restaurant that seems to be passed some of its CoVID woes, with new staff and improved service. The bolognese is top notch, and I prefer it with the gnocchi, though Parker like the spaghetti bolognese. I always start with the insalata mista and tonight, I went with the special - grilled Steelhead salmon on pesto risotto. It was fantastic with a glass of pinot grigio. read more

Just went there for the second time with our same friends from Germany. Once last summer, sitting outside. And then just last weekend. Time we had excellent food and fabulous service. The owner is practically singing as he engages with the customers. We had his son as our waiter this time and he was equally fun and personable. As someone with gluten and lactose restrictions, this place does an excellent job adjusting items on the menu for folks like me. Fun, cozy, and energetic atmosphere. Craving Italian, but don't really want a plate of pasta drowning in greasy sauce and overloaded with cheese? Then you must try Brunello. They're under new ownership as of June, and I couldn't be happier. I loved the restaurant before the change, but with new management came a simpler menu with a focus on beautiful pasta dishes. So many Italian restaurants just drown the pasta in a ton of sauce in obnoxious portions that are way too big. Brunello gives you the perfect amount of food, and the pasta is perfectly coated in delicious homemade-tasting sauce. We dined here last night for the first time since the new owners took over and were blown away! Hubby had the penne all'Amatriciana and I had the cheese ravioli (subbed the mushroom/cream/tomato sauce for bolognese). Both dishes were incredible. Seriously. So good. Definitely swing by for a delicious Italian dinner and you will not be disappointed. For sure my fav Italian restaurant in Snoqualmie! We'll definitely be regulars from now on. read more

We have always enjoyed this place on travels over the pass. The food was always good, service as well, and always a pretty filled dining room. Maybe that should have been a clue. There was NO one dining there at 7 pm. We were seated. Diligently looking at the menus we were still asked 3x in 7 or 8 minutes if we were ready to order. Soup of the day was clearly printed on the menu. "No, we don't serve soup in the restaurante". Ok then, we will start with the Caesar Salad listed on the menu. "No, we don't serve salads here".??? We were served bread and oil along with the wine we ordered. We were not asked if we wanted it, which I know is standard delivery at most restaurants as a courtesy. We were not told there was a fee attached or even asked if we wanted bread. It was only $3, but still I expect to ORDER items I want to pay for. We are feeling oddly out of our past experiences here, but we order pasta from the Vegetarian Menu. My husband ordered the Fettuccine con Vegetali boasting of zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, peas. There was not a carrot, few peas maybe 3 mushrooms and zucchini??? Saying a slim 1/4 cup of vegetables in a vegetarian dish, and that is being generous. I had the Ravioli Primavera, again on the vegetarian menu. I had 3x the amount of vegetables my husband did. The dish was ok. The cap to a very confusing evening and our 2 pasta dishes averaging $20 each, $100+ dinner including 4 $10 glasses of wine was paying for the mediocre meal. Our waitress came to our table and swiped our credit card. Immediately said: I'm sorry your card was declined (no way), can you pay with cash? Handed her another card. Immediately rejected again (again absolutely no way) with the same question, Can you pay with cash? We said NO and all of a sudden, our card worked! We left, first of all with a little sadness that this restaurant is off of our list. But knowing it must be struggling. To deliver bread to your table without telling you there is a charge for it? Skimping on vegetables on your listed Vegetarian offerings? And then the ridiculous paying part. "Your card if declined" is not a good end to any evening, but when you know it's not remotely possible, and then once again. One has to wonder about a restaurant that is so desperate that was clearly not wanting to accept CC, skimping on ingredients. I feel badly for them, but people need to know whatever happened, this is not the same restaurant it was last time we visited. read more

Decided to do take out to support the local restaurants. Francesco was the first one. Never eaten there. We ordered Spaghetti Bologna and linguine vongole. For $40 bill, it was a very good buy. The spaghetti was made just right, not too oily. The dice was not overpowering and the meat was chopped really fine- a lot of work! The clams were cleaned properly and the tasty garlic sauce! Loved the food and the service! The waitress repeatedly checked on us even though she was working both inside & outside since they were short staffed. The chef came out to the table to say hi as well. We sat on the patio and had a lovely time. We all loved our pastas. Our water glasses were always full, the bread was freshly baked & they brought more with the meal to dip into our pastas sauces & gave us more to put in our to-go boxes. If you are looking for a good place for some amazing Italian food, look no further. I went in for a late lunch on my wedding day with a small group of people and not only were we welcomed into the restaurant with open arms but they went out of their way to make the meal something special for me and my new husband. The food is to die for, we all got a variety of food form salad to chicken and pasta. Everything was delicious. I had ordered the linguine fruiti di mare and it was delicious! I don't know the name of our server but he sent my husband and I off with tiramisu for later in the evening as a gift from the restaurant. This restaurant will be a constant stop for us when we are in the area! read more

We became regulars during the pandemic. Now that they are super busy and packed the food is still good but you can tell it's rushed and some of the ingredients may be bulk now...the lettuces are now super dry and bitter. Maybe changed their sourcing. Sometimes not finished with care during the busiest hours. However Always delicious and well seasoned. Everything on the menu is good...I love the house made sausage. The lasagna is some of the best I have ever had. And, I don't like lasagna typically. Service is good although we have had instances of them forgetting the drink order and we have had to flag down someone to remind them. Ambiance is fine. You go here for the solid home cooked meals not the ambiance. Desserts are great for take away. read more

I had a horrible meal at Brunello's on a Friday evening. They sat our party of 3 (with a reservation) at a table for 2 and grabbed silverware, plates and a glass off another table where people were already seated. Gross. The woman at that table had a cough as well. We should have left. The service was slow - it took forever to even be served our wine. The food was atrocious. My ravioli was rubbery and crunchy on the edges and our bruschetta was tasteless and the bread was mushy at the center. I suspect that my son got food poisoning from the pasta and meatballs and I wrote my initial Facebook review from the bathroom floor while I rubbed his stomach as he vomited. I reported this incident to the health department in a timely manner for their investigation. read more

We really enjoyed our time, as well as the food at Francesco Ristorante. It was a pleasure chatting with the owners, but also the food and atmosphere were very comforting. I felt like the meal was perfectly balanced. We had steelhead with parmesan risotto, potatoes, and veggies. The fish was executed very well! Fat rendered really nicely, crispy skin, the texture was an ideal balance between having some crust and being soft in the middle, with no fishy aftertaste. The potatoes were really good, somewhere in the middle between roasted and boiled, but with a nice side of pan sear crust and a hint of butter with garlic. Kale was a very good surprise, not stringy at all, very soft, but still with lots of texture and flavor. Also appreciated the risotto, and the garlicky cherry tomatoes. The proportions of everything were perfect, with the fish taking center stage, and the sides being flavorful but not overwhelming and pairing very well with the protein. Deserts were amazing, the limoncello cake + tiramisu were both excellent! The landscaping and outdoor seating in the middle of Snoqualmie Ridge was a very peaceful place to be on a Saturday evening. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend this restaurant for a casual night out and authentic flavors! read more

Unfortunately the food isn't as good as it was before and the wait staff was incredibly inefficient (had our food for 10 minutes before they brought out a request oyster fork and gave up waiting for a check after 15 minutes of sitting there so I went to the waitress). The menu is exactly the same which leads me to believe that nothing was done to see why it was a failing business to begin with. We ordered delivery. Surprisingly they got our order right despite our special instructions, which included swapping gnocchi for penne. The salad had way too much dressing but the gnocchi we got was really good. One thing that was odd was we listed our room number, and since we weren't there when they knocked, they left our food at the front. The front desk said they would "take care of it" but we ended up calling the restaurant to learn this, then had to ask for our food. Really they should have called us when they knocked at the door and we weren't there. read more
