One thing I appreciated was the crostini--it was perfectly toasted without being so hard that it destroys the roof of your mouth (a surprisingly common problem!). It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata. For pasta, the cavatelli with sausage was fantastic. The sausage added great flavor, and the pesto was unique and different from the traditional versions I've had before. It was fresh, vibrant, and complemented the dish really well. The ravioli was another winner. It was rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful, but somehow still felt light enough that it wasn't overwhelming or heavy by the end of the meal. The only downside of the evening was the wait. We had an 8:30 PM reservation but weren't seated until around 8:50 PM, which was a bit frustrating. That said, once we were seated, the food definitely helped make up for it. Overall, the quality of the dishes, especially the burrata and pastas, made for a memorable meal. I'd happily come back to explore more of the menu.

It's a great date night spot, the ambiance is moody romantic and the staff are sweet. We were able to get a table without a reservation on a Saturday night. We started with a pillow pasta that I believe has been renamed a couple times but is essentially ricotta ravioli with a creamy white sauce, corn and herbs, absolutely delicious combination of flavors and texture... will remember and come back this place specifically for that! My one complaint is that there were not a lot of healthy options that had high protein and fiber, so it'll be a little difficult to make this regular spot. Even with the salmon, it was covered in cream and butter.

We ordered the Tortini del melenzane (baked eggplant dish) and rigatoni zii Teresa (pesto cream pasta). The rigatoni was cooked to a nice al dente and had good flavor. The creamy pesto was very tasty and the artichokes and mushrooms were cooked well. The baked eggplant was a little underwhelming but seasoned enough. For dessert we shared the New York style cheesecake which sadly did disappoint. The red sauce drizzled tasted artificial and the cheesecake itself was so so. Edit: we came back a second time because we wanted to try some of the other dishes. I enjoyed my gnocchi. It was very light and had a savory cheesy tomato sauce. The spaghetti pomodoro had a plainer tomato sauce but we liked the al dente cook on the pasta.

My chicken parm arrived soggy with a flavorless tomato sauce, and the vegetable soup was overcooked to the point of being mushy. In speaking with friends who dine here more often, the consensus seems to be that while the menu is extensive, you have to be very selective with what you order. However, if a restaurant chooses to offer a large menu, the quality should be consistent across the board. Given how poorly these staples were executed, I won't be returning.

Usually, in inviting me to lunch meant they wished to pay. I had many lovely meals here. First, my favorite items. For appetizer, Cozze e Vongole Saltate was a nice mix of Sauteed mussels, clams, white wine, lemon, and garlic. Light and great flavor. I ordered soup. Particularly interested in eggplant. My soup was Zuppa di Melanzane, which is Roasted eggplant soup with olive oil and fresh herbs in cream sauce. I really enjoyed the flavors in this soup, hearty and burst of herbs. Have to get this with the house made bread. Actually, one could just be satisfied with these selections. The service here is very nice, they seem dedicated to ensuring you and your parties enjoy themselves. I have been here over 20 times. The food , service and atmosphere all have been positive. When you are conducting business, this level of service is important. So happy I can depend on great food and service. Ok, but we always order more. Risotto is always cooked perfectly. I love seafood, so usually order Zuppa ai Pesce al Vino Bianco, Fresh seafood mixed in a white wine sauce. Asparagi alla Griglia is a great side order. Another favorite is Vitello a tuo Piacere. Veal Pizzaiola version. I usually have several glasses of their Pino Grigio. For dessert, their Torta de la Nonna "Double crusted tart with a delicate lemon cream and almonds." I have made this myself and admire their version. I would come into work every day, if this menu was offered at lunch. Great food, great service and often lovely company. An ideal day.

The Crossroads location in Bellevue isn't the best, which is probably why, because the food is BOMB. So authentic and delicious. It was originally recommended to me by an Italian chef, which tells you everything you need to know. The ambience is casual, not like the nicer Italian spots in DT Bellevue like Carmine's but comfortable and family-friendly. Parking is easy, but honestly, just go for the food!

It was a short drive from Maple Valley. Easy to find parking nearby. We were early for our reservation, but they warmly welcomed us and seated us right away. Very intimate dining room with seating for around 35 people max. Nice red cloth table cloths. Our waiter was Luis. He has been working for this Restaurant for eight years now he shared and did an outstanding job. He recommended antipasti starter platter that was delicious. Are entrées were perfectly prepared. Fresh vegetables, and seafood in both dishes. Our server constantly monitored our table for water, glass refills, and removed any empty plates we had. He suggested several things to cap off the evening and we ended up getting the tiramisu. Absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend this if you're looking for great authentic Italian cuisine in the Maple Valley/Issaquah area.

We did a belated Christmas gift exchange with friends recently and our friends made reservations here. So glad they did! It's literally right down in the main Bellevue Square hub, so we were able to easily park at the mall and make a short walk to Castilla. Vibes were perfect with low lighting but still a bustling atmosphere. Our server (unfortunately forgot his name) kept solid recommendations coming all night and was so funny and personable! As this is a tapas spot, we tried quite a few dishes and split them amongst the table. Mixta Paella: our server promised us that the smaller size paella was good for 2-4 people and man he was RIGHT. The portion was absolutely insane and I don't think we even finished all of it. Everything tasted so fresh and there was so much flavor to the dish. They warn you ahead of time, but plan for the paella to take 30 minutes for them to prepare. Grilled Octopus Leg: Every time I have octopus (which is two times now LOL) I'm a little worried about the texture, but it was prepared beautifully here and the sauce that it was in was delicious. Salmon & Artichoke Dip: I'm a sucker for any type of artichoke dip and this was no exception. Creamy, rich, and great flavor! Beef Medallions: Tender and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. Chorizo & Onion Empanada: Another banger. So crispy and the filling was so good! I actually was on the fence about this one but my husband insisted, and it was a good choice. Patatas Aioli: Crispy layered potato with a garlic aioli? I mean, come on. You can't go wrong. Delicious. This was our first visit to Castilla and I'm sure it won't be the last - would definitely return if I'm dining up again in Bellevue!
