Once in a while you stumble across a provider that you wish you'd have found a lifetime ago - and Francis Dental (formerly Sarival Family Dentistry) is just that! I'm from a long line of those completely scared of the dentist; have been since birth. I get sweaty and nervous and require sedation for cleanings and any procedures - but the team here made me feel completely comfortable, and at ease - to the best of their ability. The front desk team were amazing, on the way in and out (including the finance rep), the dental assistant was an absolute pleasure to chat with, the hygienist (typically my arch enemy) had me feeling at ease and left me feeling amazing, and the dentist, Dr. Francis, was both extremely personable and completely professional. I've recommended this practice to any and every -one interested, and will continue to do so! read more

I will start off by saying this is actually my first time reviewing a business on Yelp, ever... but I continue to have bad experiences with this office even though they are not my primary dentist anymore, I just had to voice my perspective. This office has a new doctor about every six months, it's pretty ridiculous. There is very little consistency in the staffing. The front office staff is nice, but completely inefficient when it comes to billing and working with insurance companies. I've been to them two or three times... the last two times I have waited to be sure my insurance would cover my procedures before proceeding and each time the billing staff at SRFD reassured me everything was covered and that we could proceed with no added costs. It turns out both times they hadn't actually received a response from my insurance company and I had to pay out of pocket. I just received yet another bill with no explanation as to why I have an outstanding balance. I definitely do not recommend taking the risk with Sarival Ranch Family Dental. read more

I was left feeling confused, unsatisfied, and like my wallet mattered more than my health after my first visit, and I was shown the door when I expressed financial concerns. I'd already prebooked my next appointment, but decided to cancel it and find a dentist better suited to my needs. The first time I called to cancel, the person who answered said they'd cancel the appointment, but never did it. So, I called again to cancel, and this time spoke to the office manager. When I said I wanted to cancel, she got confrontational and kept asking, in a rather snippy tone "Can I ask why?" and would not take "I just didn't care for your office." as an answer. I even said, "Just cancel my appointment, you're not going to argue me into keeping it!" And she KEPT ARGUING WITH ME, insisting that the $500+ services they said I needed were not that much, and she didn't understand why I was unhappy. I finally had to say, "Just cancel the appointment, I'm done talking now." and hang up on her! Extremely unprofessional and very rude. I will be discouraging everyone I know from going here! read more

I went in because I was feeling pain in a few of my back teeth and I had one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. The front staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, they were also efficient with getting good x-rays done. After the X-rays were done they had large monitors on the wall in front to show the X-rays in great detail and it was nice that the dentist was able to stand in front and talk face to face with you rather than behind you like most dentist do. Doctor Francis explained everything very simply to me and was able to put a crown in and do a filling right then. Him and the dental hygienist checked multiple times to be sure that everything was perfectly shaped and felt correct in my mouth and they even stayed late to properly make sure everything fit perfectly. I will definitely be returning for any other work/cleaning that I need done! read more

I went to this office because of the proximity to our home. During the visit, I was told I had 2 cavities and a "cracked tooth." Prior to Sarival, I had been with a Wisconsin dentist for about 15 years. After being told the treatment would cost $$$, I decided to call my dentist in WI to discuss my teeth. Two months later, I went to WI and had my old dentist look at my teeth. He took ultrasonic x rays, as well as a full panoramic x ray (something Sarival doesn't even have) and determined that the "crack" was actually an anatomical groove. Besides the fact that I still have a few silver fillings, I've had no pain or other indications that I have a cracked tooth...because I don't. Nor do I have any cavities. *Important note: while there the dentist said I needed some sort of retainer to avoid my teeth from shifting.... he also tried to cross sell my husband a retainer for teeth grinding!* Fast forward to today, when I call the office to have them send records to a new dentist and the women on the phone wants to know why I'm not coming back to the office. When I told her, she became defensive and argumentative, stating that not all dentist will diagnose with the same thing! Well, first off, I hope two dentist looking at the same tooth will diagnose the same thing. Then she began analyzing the x rays and telling me I have "decay" and a cracked tooth again, to which I very abruptly asked her if she was a dentist. She replied, "no," but not before telling me she has 17 years of dental experience. Bottom line, aside from misdiagnosing me with several hundred dollars worth of unnecessary work, the office person has no professionalism. After reading several other reviews on Yelp and other sites, I am not the only person who has been treated this way. read more

Friendly, professional office staff. However, be aware if you decide against their "recommendations" you will be given the address to another dentist. I made an appointment for a cleaning. Without dental insurance, I am hesitant to get into costly services. They hygienist informed me I needed a "deep root" cleaning for $$$. I declined the service and they refused to proceed with my appointment. There are plenty of affordable, professional dental groups around to even think about eating your time with this group. I had an excellent experience at Sarival Ranch Family Dental. I went in for a general cleaning and the hygienist was thorough and did a great job. They found that one of my old fillings was cracked. It was very clear in the pictures that they showed me there was a clear indication of a crack in my tooth. The doctor was excellent and fast. I had no pain whatsoever. They numbed me up real good and the procedure went quick. I went back a week later and the Crown they put on fit perfectly. They didn't gouge me on the price and I would highly recommend them. read more

So, I gave two stars because the hygienist was very nice. We have had 3 dentist since this placed opened and last week was by far my worst experience. I came back because my filling had come out for the second time. So, there is a new dentist there who has no bedside manner. He was rough and as of now I can no longer comfortably chew on my right side. This was 4 days ago. I only went in for a filling!!!! The front office staff is really nice but they are absolutely lacking with the dentists they choose. I will not be back. The prior dentist was really good so sorry he is no longer there. I do not recommend this place except for cleanings. I hate giving bad reviews but this was absolutely warranted. read more

It has been several years since my appointment for X-rays and cleaning but it made such a horrible impression upon me that I want to do this review. I would never return to Sarival Ranch Family Dental. I came across the estimate with Dr. Saphon Heng's name on it and want to review her and this dental practice. Dr Heng was the worst part of it. I have porcelain crowns in my mouth, I had them done because I hated my teeth. She asked me "what happened" as if I was a meth addict and lost all my teeth. This doctor has bad mannerism. How does she talk to other patients? Get a clue Dr. Heng. Secondly, I have since learned you are to never polish porcelain crowns and their hygienist had polished mine!!! They will tell you that you need work done, get a second opinion. They said my insurance covered and nothing owed that day. Later my insurance billed me. Don't go here! The worst part was Dr. Heng! Pathetic, surely she some idea what cosmetic dental costs and then to treat me like I was a drug addict. Dr Heng is horrible. read more

I have been going here since it opened two years ago. I enjoyed going here when Dr. Ryan was around. He left and they replaced him with a Dr. Yadi who has no ethics. Ever since she moved in, I have continually caught them trying to submit incorrect insurance codes to my insurance provider to jack up the cost of the dental work. The latest was submitting a bill for a deep cleaning when I received just a normal 20 min cleaning. They tried to justify this by saying I had received one deep cleaning back in Aug 2016 so every bill going forward would get billed as a deep cleaning even if its a regular cleaning because it's the new policy and they refuse to change it. It is unethical for a dentist to bill for services not performed and also problematic for the patient as a deep cleaning falls outside of preventative maintenance and not 100% covered by most insurance carriers, in turn passing the additional code on to the patient. This place is now a joke, and I would recommend staying far, far away from it. read more

I have gone to sarival ranch two times, both for routine cleanings done 6 months apart. Both times xrays were taken (not sure why they needed to repeat xrays when they were just taken a few months ago). The second time I went in, Dr Yadi (terrible!) said I have no cavities but that I needed two crowns because one tooth had a minor crack and a lot of old fillings that could not be repaired. The other tooth just had old fillings. I was very confused as I just had xrays done 6 months prior and they didn't catch any of that. I find it hard to believe that I magically got a crack and old fillings in that time period. I felt helpless. They went over how much everything would cost, and it was about $3,000. Seriously... $3,000 when I had no issues with my teeth, was in no pain... I decided I didn't really have a choice so I went ahead with everything. I was in so much pain while the temps were in while waiting 2 weeks for the real crowns. I was seriously debating just getting my two teeth removed. Luckily, the pain did go away after getting the crowns on. Bottom line is I felt they were grasping at straws trying to find something wrong with my teeth to get money out of me. I will not be returning to sarival ranch ever. Very unethical and shady. They keep calling me asking when I will come in for a cleaning. I told them I'm not returning and they got very defensive. Incompetent, hostile, customer-unfriendly administrative staff. My wife and I had a good experience with the doctor, and nothing but problems with the administrative staff. We were offered 3 different versions of their annual maintenance package by 3 different staff members. Each refused to honor the offers of the others. Jody, the office manager, refused to believe that we had been given a better offer by another staff member, and refused to honor it. Said we just didn't understand what was being offered. Absolutely untrue. She was mean and unprofessional. Her attitude said, my way or the highway. Going to the dentist is unpleasant enough. It adds insult to injury when the administrative staff doesn't care about providing a pleasant and honest customer service experience. read more

Scam artist! Run for the hills! I Had an absolutely horrible experience at Sarival Ranch Family Dental... Everyone started out pretty nice - I went in for X-rays / cleaning / check up- while sitting there waiting for my hygienist -I could hear the rooms on both sides of me having discussions about additional work they are going to need on their teeth - and it was best they got it done THAT DAY.(wonderful sales tactics these people had). So my hygienist came in - talking extremely fast with tons of information that I generally understood- took my x rays and told me I had bone loss and gingivitis -that needed deep cleaning-- I have never had gum disease or any they problems (other than a couple fillings). Then the dr comes In and says everything looks ok but the fillings I have need tone re-done and again - THAT DAY- ... hmm I'm thinking , really ? Wow this is fishy ... I asked the hygienist if I can just get a regular cleaning because I wasn't sure I really needed the other deep cleaning she said fine ... then the office manager came over with pricing for the deep cleaning and said I had to get that done because that what was recommended -- ok - out folks - I took my business to Canyon trails family dental down the road and had a wonderful experience - no deep cleaning recommended and my fillings are fine, really?
