The dentist stood behind my dental chair such that I could not make eye contact with her. This was all occurring at the same time. Even after we agreed that I would pay half in the beginning and the rest when the work was completed they kept sending notices 30, 60, and 90 days passed due and they hadn't finished the work. I requested a refund and was prepared to speak with Virginia Board of Dentistry and Small Claims Court to retrieve my money back. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I was asked to complete some documents online prior to the appointment and when I arrived was checked in swiftly. The staff were very friendly and they were in the holiday spirit with many dressed in their costumes! A dental assistant took me back and did a series of x-rays and photos. Then the dentist came in and did an exam and told me what I needed. I was sent to the waiting area for a few minutes before the hygienist got me and took me back for a thorough cleaning. Then I went back to the waiting area for another couple of minutes prior to seeing the payment person. Everyone explained everything that was going to happen before it did and why. I was given an appointment next Tuesday for the crown replacement and scheduled for my next cleaning in 6 months. It was overall a very nice and professional experience. The price seemed a bit high, and definitely not exorbitant. but I blame that more on my insurance than the office. And, it's "pay as you go" so I didn't need to pay it all at once.

I have a filling that's cracked but before "Dr. Sam" even looked he was mentioning a root canal! I know my teeth, Dr K has replaced a few of my fillings and even done 2 crowns. Dr Sam not only wouldn't give reason not to do this, but identified a filling as a crown! When he pointed to a filling on the x-ray and called it a crown, then argued when I said it wasn't a crown, I knew my days coming here were OVER!!! I posted that in a Google review and they came back saying things that should not be posted to the public. They also sent me a denial letter telling me they will only take care of me for EMERGENCY purposes only and for only the next 30 days! I guess that is ok since I am never going there again! Some more on the visit that I didn't put in the original review: He walked in and said "It looks like you're going to need a root canal." That was how he greeted me, you would think open your mouth and let me see where the problem is would have been more appropriate! But, who am I to have a mind? Go check out the review and reply they gave on google maps, it might make you wonder what else they do with your information!
