I am embarrassed to admit it took me a few years to go to the dentist. I was definitely intimidated. Once my family switched dental insurances, I knew it was finally time to go. Setting up an appointment was easy breezy since they were so accommodating with my schedule. Their business hours run later than 5PM on Wednesdays, which was perfect for me. The office is very clean and I felt immediately at ease in the sitting area. I actually didn't wait long (which is almost unheard of at any other doctors appointment). My first visit entailed a lot of x-rays. And I mean a lot. Followed by a lengthy health questionnaire. I didn't mind though because I really appreciated the thoroughness. My dental hygienist was sweet and friendly. I believe her name was Nicole. The cleaning was actually enjoyable. I had been dreading it for nothing. It was really a pleasant experience. I look forward to my next cleaning in 6 months with her. Remember, this is coming from someone who was deathly scared of going to the dentist. After my cleaning, I was seen by a dentist named Dr. Novak. I will admit she was a bit intimidating. My consult felt very rushed with her. She pointed out what areas were of concern but didn't want to push anything in particular on me. Then, I was ushered off to the office manager who worked out a treatment plan with me. I also scheduled my appointments for my root canal and fillings. My five stars honestly go to Dr. Limon. He was the one who ended up performing my root canal and fillings. This is the dentist to go to, hands down. He has incredible bedside manner and is probably the nicest doctor I've ever met. He always makes sure I am comfortable and relaxed. I remember him saying he liked listening to Disney songs and hearing him actually humming the songs put a smile on my face. That's how happy his demeanor was. They keep trying to pull my tooth out for a hour and I was traumatized never come to this dentist

I spent 5 months being seen at this establishment and they could not get it right. I found a new dentist that did the job in only 3 weeks. The Foleck Center focuses on their payment. Even after we agreed that I would pay half in the beginning and the rest when the work was completed they kept sending notices 30, 60, and 90 days passed due and they hadn't finished the work. I requested a refund and was prepared to speak with Virginia Board of Dentistry and Small Claims Court to retrieve my money back. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I called the office Monday when I had a crown fall out to see if I could be seen. I was given an appointment for that Friday, my first time ever with this group and office. I was asked to complete some documents online prior to the appointment and when I arrived was checked in swiftly. The staff were very friendly and they were in the holiday spirit with many dressed in their costumes! A dental assistant took me back and did a series of x-rays and photos. Then the dentist came in and did an exam and told me what I needed. I was sent to the waiting area for a few minutes before the hygienist got me and took me back for a thorough cleaning. Then I went back to the waiting area for another couple of minutes prior to seeing the payment person. Everyone explained everything that was going to happen before it did and why. I was given an appointment next Tuesday for the crown replacement and scheduled for my next cleaning in 6 months. It was overall a very nice and professional experience. The price seemed a bit high, and definitely not exorbitant. but I blame that more on my insurance than the office. And, it's "pay as you go" so I didn't need to pay it all at once. read more

I have a bad fear of the dentist. I had to have a tooth pulled and extra dental work done. I discussed my fear with them and they were absolutely wonderful. They listen they accepted it and they helped me in anyway they could. I highly recommend them. read more

I'm pretty upset with my overall experience and they made it clear that all they care about is money and big expense items and did a horrible job listening to me to meeting my needs. The whole point for my appointment was to get a front tooth fixed (the filling thing where the chip was fell out recently). They made me schedule 2 1-hour appointments as I'm a new patient (new to the area). I mentioned multiple times when I made the appointment and during my exams and xrays that I needed my front tooth chipped part fixed as its very evident when I open my mouth. I even marked on the questionnaire that they asked me about that I needed this fixed and I told them that was the primary reason for making the appointment. After the first batch of exams and xrays, I again mentioned my need to have this fixed and also told the dentist while he was doing the exam. He noticed a few items and again I mentioned the chip that I needed repaired. He told me they would work on an estimate for the items they found and sent me to another dentist. I thought the chip would be taken care of there, but it wasn't. It was just a cleaning and during the cleaning inspection she mentioned they would give me some prescription mouthwash for some bacteria or something. She told the assistant to put the prescription mouthwash in the bag for me to use it twice a day for 6 weeks and then have follow up visit. The assistant kept bouncing around between dentist cubicles and acknowledged her but didn't seem like he was paying attention (which it turns out he wasn't as after I left I realized there was no mouthwash as all in the bag they gave me so I don't have the needed item I was promised). After this checkup they didn't even schedule me for the 6-week follow-up and didn't seem to care about that at all and were instead focused on getting me an extremely overpriced quote on other items. It was annoying as I was already there over 2-hours and it had been more than 45-minutes since my first exam where they said they would put together the estimate but they made me wait in the lobby to bring me the estimate. I waited 10-minutes and got annoyed and asked the lobby person to just have them email it to me and she went to check and I see her walk into an office in front with big window where I had been watching a couple employees talking and laughing for the past 10-minutes and I see her grab the already completed paper from them. They had just been sitting there laughing and wasting my time when they already had the estimate complete. I got the estimate and almost fell down that I was in shock. Everything was about 2 times higher than what it should be based on previous prices I've paid for same items (crown and fillings) for myself and or my wife in the past. I was even more annoyed when I saw on the estimate they had the night guard on it which I clearly told the dentist that I already have one but don't need it as I don't grind in my sleep and the grind damage was from a daytime stress disorder in the past and had nothing to do with nighttime grinding. Then they try and get me to sign that I'm going to pay them over $3,600 for just a few items that were extremely overpriced and I refused and told them I would get estimates from a different office. I got so distracted and annoyed at this point, I forgot that they never even did the one thing that I went there for, which was to fix my chipped tooth. Not only did they not fix it, they did NOT even put it on the estimate. They completely ignored me on this and they are really just so focused on trying to find highest cost services to coerce people into getting and over charging on that they completely ignore what the customer was asking for the entire time and never even followed up with me on this. This place is terrible and I don't plan on going back. Additionally, my family had a visit scheduled for this place for next week but I am cancelling it and rescheduling with a different dentist. read more

Went to an appointment in 2021for a cleaning and general exam, got quoted an absurd amount for the cavity I needed fixed did not return. Had 2 insurances, one I no longer have. Got phone calls from them for weeks in 2023 asking about my insurances I had during my 1 appointment 2 years prior. Now am receiving texts for payments from appointments in 2018. Didn't even live in the state in 2018 and don't live there now. Never had this many problems with a dentist also never taken time to write a review of any place. Definitely seems a little like a scam to me, glad I only went in for a cleaning. read more

I had a dental emergency. I called around to no avail. Checked my insurance and called The Foleck Center. Spoke to Trisha who was funny and sympathetic to my situation. she Got me in on Thursday. Elijah was FANTASTIC, he was the dental assistant and so easy going, gentle and kind. My mouth hurt so bad but taking xrays was smooth. Dr. Alexander was awesome. Made sure I was numbed up before extracting my damaged tooth. Trisha came back to check on me and honestly it felt very much like a family atmosphere., I've never liked the dentist. EVER! I had to get my upper wisdom teeth extracted! I was so nervous! Just knew I was going to need to be put down and I mean down not out...but the assistant was so calm and kind when I began to panic. I was able to go thru Dr Novaks entire process with just the injections. She and her assistant were courteous and efficient! It was almost painless except for initial shot. read more

I had an emergency. Set up an appointment and they could not find me in the system! Not their fault. I actually made an appointment with another dental office but I was in such pain I thought I had booked FOLECK! I gave them a difficult time not realizing MY mistake. Everyone was professional and kind. They took me anyway. I met with Dr. Limon. Love this guy because he talks straight...no chaser and I thought this was refreshing. He REALLY knew his stuff. I give kudos to everyone at this location but none more than the receptionist that I gave a had time to! I could NOT apologize to her enough! They all were amazing! Best staff EVER! Kind, considerate, and talented best describe the entire staff at the Foleck Center in Hampton. COVID processes are in place without becoming disheartening. The receptionist manages the flow of clients perfectly, the hygienists, techs and Dentists are all very welcoming and skilled. I have had cleanings and crowns, and each time the staff presents options and solutions to meet my needs. I work in Virginia Beach now, but I plan on keeping my teeth in the hands of these amazing professionals. Fantastic team!!! read more

Dr. Dano makes this place seems like a for profit office. Two visits in a row he treated me like my time wasn't valuable and like I wasn't a valued patient. Had a crown and filling for one appointment and he rushed my crown and didn't do the filming because he was rushing to another appointment in Va beach as if my filling wasn't important. Than this last appointment I had for 2 fillings at 11am. Had me sitting in the back for an hour and all he did was numb my mouth, then told his assistant he would only be doing one filling instead of both. As if I didn't take off from work and waste my time sitting there only to be told what was originally scheduled and planned will not be. All because he stacks appointments on top of one another so he can make as much money as possible for the day. Walked out of the place with the left side of my face numb and no service performed on me and another appointment set for two weeks out. My time and myself were treated like it wasn't important or as if I just walked in and sat down in my owns with no appointment set.
