Im just super glad they offer that service there at all as opposed to going to the ER. Weve seen 3 different doctors there and they were all women who listened when my daughter advocated for herself/I advocated/explained for her and even gave some tips on a possible underlying issue to look into with her PCP. everyone is friendly and I can tell they genuinely enjoy working there. My daughter is especially more comfortable there because they seem to have mostly (if not all) female providers. You can always follow up on your care with a phone call to ask questions or gain clarification vs. making another appointment! Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Irene Torres. I got bit by a dog just above my lip. I had to get 7…read morestitches. I was very worried about getting them taken out because I know it can be very painful because I knew how tight the stitches were and how sensitive the area was. I went in to get them removed, and she told me originally to wait another day or two, but when I told her how concerned I was about who did it, she called me back to tell me that she had contacted the other NP that would be there that day to ask her how she felt about removing the stitches, and she didn't feel comfortable doing it. Irene researched the amount of time needed to leave the stitches in to make sure it would be ok to remove them that day, and said that I would be fine to come back that day while she was there. It showed how much she truly cares about her patients. She did an excellent job with the removal, and I had very little pain. I was so relieved to have them out, and it's still healing up nicely. Irene has years of experience, is very kind and does a great job. CVS is lucky to have her! Thanks again!

The glass doors at the reception desk were locked and several staff were conversing among themselves. All but one staff member walked away. The remaining staff member asked if she could help me. I stated I'd like to see a doctor. She replied that there were no doctors. I replied your hours show you are open until 2000hrs. She said, no, we're only open until 1900 hrs. I replied "It's 1800hrs, now." She stated that they only take appointments after a certain time. She asked if I'd like to make an appointment. Frustrated, I said no and left. As a retired firefighter and EMT, married to a nurse, we will be sure to tell the first responder community of my experience.

I was surprised by two bills, however. $171 for the physician group, and another $619 for a facility charge. $790 charged for a 10-15 minute minimal complexity visit is shameful. Other walk-in clinics I have used do not charge a facility fee. Perhaps because this one is located in a hospital they justify it, but this is no ER and the consumer should not be similarly upcharged. I called the billing dept at 983-8300 and was told things like taking my height, weight, and blood pressure go towards the facility fee and this location is considered one step down from an ER. I call BS. It's services are no different than other extended hour clinics. I'll pay my bill, but will not return to this expensive location.
