We had a 10 ft square patch of roof that was damaged during a wind storm. Sean took great care in matching our existing shingle color to do the repair. The repair was done in a few hours after the shingles came in, and the roofer also made an upgrade to our vent while he was there. Absolutely terrible follow up experience! Franciscus sold us on the leaf guard gutter mesh which is a totally ineffective solution. I have to clean my gutters in spring and fall. Very poor installation in the corners of my gutters. It collapsed unbeknownst to me. Once discovered, 2 years after installation I reached out and was told there is only a 1-year warranty on the mesh product. Franciscus warranty agreement states they cover labor and workmanship for 10 years. I was told they could send a tech out in 3 weeks, $500.00 Service call! Alternative offered was to refer to a local contractor who could come out sooner and at less of charge. Extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend this group. They do not stand behind their products or warranty. read more

Very disappointing experience. My roof is under a 10-year warranty, but when I reported a problem, this company did not properly stand behind its work. I found an exposed screw in the roof valley/gutter guard area, which should not have been left that way. Instead of making a proper permanent repair, they removed the screw and applied caulking. I asked them to correct the issue properly under the warranty, but they refused. I expected professional workmanship and a real repair, not a temporary patch. Excellent product and service! I had been putting off replacing our roof for about 4 years. House was originally built in the fall of 2004. Typical contractor grade roofing materials and the original shingles had been showing wear and tear after about 15 years. I contacted Dane @ Franciscus who came out, surveyed the roof and worked closely with us on the correct replacement materials and options. Crews were scheduled and worked through some delays due to weather. Being a retired contractor myself I closely monitored the install crews and Christian, the crew lead, was fantastic! Great leader, great communicator for his team. Install took 2 days for 42 squares which was fine. Perfect attention to cleanup and picking up all of the nails. I would recommend Dane and Christian to anyone interested in a quality install product from a locally owned company who has been around for years. read more

I have never had worse service from a company. July 29th I had Pat come out to do an estimate on my roof for a total tear off. He seemed professional and knowledgeable at this time. Took photos to show me and explained well. I needed new ridge vents due to the old ventilation system on the roof because my old one was outdated. Also explained to me my gutter guards would have to come off for the installation. He asked if I wanted them back on and it was a yes due to the amount of trees I had near me. The crew came out August 29 to start the job which I was told was a day project. When the crew was done I had no ventilation on the sides of my house by the bedrooms which was supposed to be on. I reached out to Pat who agreed they did not add them to the roof even though they had the material. I then had to keep asking what day they were coming back to fix my roof when I wouldn't hear back from Pat, he would claim the crew was busy with other projects and can't give me a date. My project was not a priority. My gutter guards were missing screws, put in crooked, and with gaps. I called the company again and spoke with Nicole who is accounting and operations. She was able to get the Crew out to fix again. Then I noticed gutter guards sticking up and still with gaps. I had to call again to ask for them to be put back like they were found. She sent Edgar who does this all the time, per Nicole. He replaced 4 left one in front of my house sticking up pushing on the new shingles they just installed. I have and sent pictures to Nicole. She claimed this was normal and my gutter guards are old and with gaps. She also tried to claim the crew never took them off. I had an inspection done on my house and gutter guards were not mentioned by the inspector or Pat during the initial visit. When you call the company they take your name and number but never call you back. I have called multiple times asking for some type of manager to get nothing. It is currently Oct 28th and the job is still not completed well with corners cut. I asked what they can do for the inconvenience and I was told the best they can do is 200 off the bill of almost a 20 000 roof because they would lose profit. Nicole was not professional over the phone at all. I now have to have someone come out to replace my gutter guards completely when before the roof job, they were fine with no gaps. read more

10/25 Had a tear off done, after the job was completed my insurance came out and did an inspection, said on the top right and left sides was missing flashing, called back Dave McNeal which didn't come out and look at the job keeps telling me that it was done correctly, Sent him (4) pictures from the inspection keep arguing with me, Finally called Westlake (HQ) sent out Andrew 2 weeks later, he came out and agree and said he would put an work order in when the Weather wasn't icing. Called back 12/16/25 spoke to Olivia again acted liked this wasn't going to happen asked to send pictures again after (3) times to show her superiors, aske her to talk with Andrew and acted liked this was impossible. Folks I just want my roof done correctly didn't seem like a big job to come out to fix. Just seems like I'm getting the run around for what, just do your job and stand by your work, or will contact, I-Team from fox's News will be brought in! I don't have time to keep chasing you! And side note when contacting Dave McNeal about this problem he wasn't with the company anymore as I was told by HQ, then why was he still representing your company? We have worked with Franciscus for over a decade now. Our first project was a roof replacement with new gutters. The roof was 40 years old in terrible shape. There was a lot of wood to replace and they got in done in 2 days. 7 years later our house was damaged by a tree in a huge storm. Franciscus replaced half the roof and all of the siding on our house. Again a very smooth and on time project. Now 5 years later we are in another house. They just removed our 25 year old roof and replaced it in one day! He informed us today that the owner and manager decided to cut him out of over ten thousand dollars they owe him in commissions as a sales person. Visiting a friend over the weekend and Franciscus Roofing (proud yard sign) putting a roof on a house. Not one of the workers (and there were many) had any fall protection gear on. No harness's, nothing. Super messy in that crap floating all over the other neighbors yards from their left over supplies to their paper plates. If OSHA had come through, this company would definitely be fined for the lack of safety gear being used. Personally, would never hire these clowns. read more

Less than a year ago, my husband and I needed some roof repair done on our house. Francisco's sent Logan Godfrey, the project manager for this area, out to our home and we decided to replace the back part of our roof. It was Logan's job to match the shingles. He brought back 3 samples and based on his " years of experience" we went with the shingles he recommended. At this point I did question whether the shingles were too silvery.... I was told not to worry that they would match fine, that the others were older and that's why they weren't as silvery. After the job was done, I immediately again questioned the choice of shingles... only to be told the same thing. I should also mention at this point that they don't employ roofers... they contract out, which means all they don't carry any responsibility for anything. After looking at a roof that doesn't match for about 9 months I finally called Francisco's about a month ago. Logan returned my call, but it was a much different tone than it was last fall. According to Logan... it was my fault we chose the wrong shingle, that he nor his company had any part of that. I'm sorry... isn't that part of his job? He wouldn't even come and look at it. (I live about 5 minutes from the office.) All he wanted was a quick, expensive sale last fall. ( I won't even go into the fact they were about $700 over the estimate) The follow up customer service is not available with this company and they are not in this for the long haul relationship with their customers. They are a quick sale company. And they just don't care. Would not recommend them and will not call them for anything. read more

Uggh. Having run some very large businesses in the last 19 years, I am particularly sensitive to the power of customer-centricity. I have waited more than a year to write this review, so that "emotion" cannot be blamed for the tenor and tone of my comments. I am cognizant that sometimes there are small "wrinkles" between customers and service providers, so I don't rush to judgement. I had contracted Franciscus to install a replacement attic fan in a home we owned and have since sold. It took two visits as the first install was not perfect - the fan was not operating properly. When we moved into our new home, I once more contracted Franciscus to install an attic fan. They subcontracted the work. The contractor connected the fan to the same circuit as the attic lights...which meant if you wanted to run the fan, you had to keep the light on. I called to address the issue and after more effort than necessary to address the issue, I called another contractor to rewire the fan. At my expense. Further, a repair I called them for to address improper flashing and joining of an addition to the home (the issue was not caused by Franciscus) was not done properly, so after painting the ceiling inside....months later, I had another bulging water bubble at the same seam line. I called. Several times, since I could not seem to get a call back. I assumed they were busy, so I had no problem calling. I got a call back from their marketing manager -- lucky for him, I cannot recall his name -- who proceeded to tell me that there was a note in my file to the effect that I was a 'difficult' customer. He berated me for bullying the administrator who answers the phone (?!?!). Surprised, I asked him for more detail on this feedback and examples of how I earned this negative feedback - which he could not provide. He then proceeded to tell me to take my business elsewhere as Franciscus was not interested in it. By the way, his first comment on the request to come out and assess the roof was that the warranty on the job had expired and if they did any work it would be at my expense. This is no way to start a conversation on a request for someone to come and look at an issue. Don't know what marketing education this gentleman has...but it seems someone should check his transcript. I think he skipped class when they were teaching customer-centricity and growth strategies. I actively share my negative experience when it is sought by neighbors and friends. read more

Had a previous roofing job over a small living room done on my parent's house by another company...It took 3 days to complete. Looking for additional work to be done, I made contact with Andy from Franciscus to get an estimate over the large 4 car garage and work area. He took time to explain the work to me and not at me. Absolutely happy with the estimate, we added some siding work to an area above the garage to complete the area once and for all. Well, a total tear off and install (with areas of rotting replaced) was completed in 1 day! Siding was completed in a timely manner as well! Thank you for the professionalism by all from start to finish. Oh yeah...I had a tuneup completed at my house too due to a leak. 8 year old houses are not suppose to leak...Area was inspected and could have easily been sold a major repair by a company, but again explaining the work and being straightforward to the customer always wins! Franciscus would not stand behind their 10 year labor warranty. If you buy a house with a Franciscus roof make sure you read the terms and conditions that aren't available anywhere for you to find them. They don't provide them on their website yet claim they will fix any issues with their work. But first you have to pay them $125 to tell you if they did something wrong. read more

Where did my low-low-low rating go on their FB page? Funny how they ignored my pleas for them to honor their warranty but as soon as I put something up on Facebook, they were calling me! No prep work, did not honor the warranty and actually had the nerve to send me a contract to sign and return to them that if I had them come back out to look at any leaks, I'd have to pay. This was after they replaced my roof because it was leaking AND it was under warranty. I recently found out they did not replace or reseal flashing, ice guards or any edges and left a cracked stack vent (this is where I was getting a leak in my bathroom ceiling). I was told by Franciscus that everything was done fine and there was nothing wrong. The inspection also showed that they installed ridge vents when there was not adequate venting. A statement from the reputable company that repaired the damage, "After looking more at the roof system I notice that the soffit vents were not open for air to pass. This should have been done when the ridge vent was installed. Lack of ventilation will shorten the life span on roof system. This along with first inspection was the areas that were not done correctly. Very poor workmanship." I had my gutters rerouted and there was a soft spot on the roof where the downspout emptied. Inspection showed a huge hole in the wood roof and further inspection showed corners of a flat area rotted just above it. There is no way they would not have known this when they reroofed my house. I had to have another contractor come out and discover and repair these damaged areas at great cost plus there were 4 rooms in my 21 year old home with water damage to the ceings. Stay away from this company at least if you are not in a hurry and don't mind a perfect job, then this is the company for you let me tell you why?, when they came to my house and gave me the free estimate for my repairs they came to my place the same day I called, I was really happy about that so, I signed a contract that lock the price and myself with them to do the job for 1 year, then they told me they will come back to do the job in 1 month this guys came almost when the year was over, their came with excuse after excuse why they couldn't come to do their job, then when the job was done it did not pass inspection and I couldn't do nothing about it because the repair was less than the 20% percent of the whole roof so, that means I couldn't force them to come back and re-do it. I will never recommend to nobody it so if you have faith call this people, maybe they will be different with you. read more
