They'll always be together in electric dreams though. Call me. This mall is pretty cool and fancy and useful for everyone in the Lansing area, and with a traditional layout, with a large food court, and the sad part is it's kind of quiet. The outdoor stores across the street are 34 times as busy. This means that usually, for people who like checking out the hotties of either gender at malls, there are not that many hot people here, and I was left wondering to some degree how the Mall stores pay their bills.

We're weird like that. Anyway, the weather on my trip had been pretty mild EXCEPT the damn day we decided to visit Old Town. It was bitter cold and kind of raining but we tried to make the best of it. Old Town is comprised of mixture of local, small businesses and it is also the greater Lansing area's arts district. Indeed there are several art galleries and studios, as well as interior design stores. I walked into a couple of the stores looking for gifts to take home, but found that most of the shops sell tchotchkes. The interior design places had nice stuff, but most of the items were pretty expensive. Al in all, it's a nice little area to walk around in the afternoon. Some years ago I went to an awesome beer festival here; I assume they host a decent amount of festivals in the area. I think that there's still a lot of work to be done in the area, they definitely need more restaurants and a greater offering (and cheaper) at the stores.

Now this is one hell of a shopping mall for some of the resident halls just down the road at Michigan State which are full of international students and Youthful energy. This Plaza happens to have the very best and I mean the absolute very best boba shop in the whole of the Great Lakes region and I don't say that lightly - so definitely give this Plaza a visit whenever you are in Michigan - trust me and come out of your way to give it a try. Definitely a nice little Plaza with plenty of food and various options for local students. But what it has which is really good is the best bubble tea shop in all the land known as Momo. Best in the region. Best in MI. Best in the entire Great Lakes. Incomparable. Better than any in Chicago. Better than any in Indiana or Wisconsin or Milwaukee too. It's absolutely perfect and authentic Taiwanese-style and rocks my world and is the reason why I come back to this Plaza again and again and again. As I know if you look long and hard enough and you try enough different bubble tea shops you will eventually find that one which will rock your world. The staff are SO helpful and friendly, and they always help him find something to buy. Actually, he just thinks all the clothes there are so beautiful - seriously, how often do you hear a man praising a women's clothing store? My mom and I can spend hours here. The saleswomen will create the fitting room of your dreams - I told them a few things I was looking for and they filled the room with fun options! They helped me accessorize and found me the most gorgeous dress I would NEVER have pulled off the rack! The clothes can get a little pricey, but they are nice quality, and great for mixing and matching since many of them are elegant versions of "basics." They also have beautiful jewelry which goes nicely with the clothes. It's a pleasure to shop here, both because of the sales staff and the quality of the clothes. It's the first place Mom and I stop when we go shopping together!

White House Black Market sells very elegant and feminine clothing for a variety of occasions. I…read morewent in to acquire a bridesmaid's dress, the only requirements being that it be black and a cocktail style. I had had no luck anywhere in the mall, surprisingly enough. At WHBM I found the absolute most perfect dress I could have thought of for the occasion. In addition, the sales associates on staff were very friendly and helpful without being pushy, pulling lots of shoe and accessory options for me. The original price of the dress was quite a bit more than my budget but given how great it looked and my lack of other choices, I took it and am so happy I did. However, the story only gets better. A week later I discovered that my dress had gone on clearance for less than half of the original price. I got a totally hassle-free price adjustment; the typical company policy is that you must bring the item into the store where you'd gotten it to have the adjustment done, but when I said that I live an hour from the store the rep did it over the phone.

We had our kido with us and decided it was still worth taking a look, regardless of the very hateful messages on the front door. Upon entering the owner told us we couldn't come in with our child because the business was, "too small." I literally was too confused to argue much but said something along the lines of, "that doesn't seem very accepting, even though your sign outside makes you seem, like you want to seem, "very accepting." Owner started freaking out, pretty sure he's on drugs, but that doesn't seem off par.. go woke, go broke? Bet this business only last a few more weeks.. zzzz
