I'm going to get the Lansing Mall four star review. There are only a dozen stores inthe mall now, Barnes & Noble and Dunham's sporting goods, and Regal Movie Theaters seem to be the anchor stores now. The food court is open, with a couple of businesses. I actually go up to the mall to walk for exercise, however, this is a really nice place as the atmosphere is inviting,relaxing,somewhat quiet. read more

I went to this mall a lot when I was younger, my Mom and I used to hit the Hot Topic, food court, and multiple other stores back in the day. Sadly though the Mall is a shell of its self from back then, multiple stores there are either closed permanently or just simply are forced to close for a small amount of time due to low amount of workers. Obviously the people who own said stores aren't at fault, but it's always sad to see places from your childhood begin to disappear. read more

Good ole Lansing Mall....one of the last of a dying shopping culture. In the Lansing area we have the Lansing Mall and the Meridian Mall...and it would appear the Lansing Mall is definitely fending better...it seems to have more life left in it, at least in my opinion...where as Meridian appears to have given up...or gone past the point of no repair. Lansing Mall has had several closures but still has a good store selection, and alot of charm. It's clean and bright and has nice common areas. It decorates nice for the holidays. It deserves to be shopped and supported. The food court is a bit disappointing but it has a lot of other virtues still going for it. read more

This mall might as well shut down. Every time I visit there's another vacant space. The only anchor store left is JC Penney and I just cannot believe it. What happened? We used to LOVE the Lansing Mall. Now it's dreary, empty and a waste of space. The addition of the movie theatre was a great Idea but they have to get a vision because this is sad. read more

The store staff at Hot Topic and F.Y.E are awesome, but the security staff are jerks... Me and my husband sat at the table close to Hot Topic to wait for our son, and were told by security, that because we had no children with us, we couldn't sit there. Generally speaking, there are other places to sit, but this area was open close to where our son was so he could see us when he came out of the store. There was no one around the area, so this Paul Blart Mall Cop was just being a jerk to be a jerk. Would have loved to finish up my Christmas shopping here, but because of this I left and wont be back to this mall. read more

Very nice clean mall. Stopped in to waste time for the day. Not much to say, I did purchase a pair of sneakers from Champs. If I have more time I will revisit next time I'm in town. read more

While the mall has undergone several upgrades, it still remains ghetto fabulous! I give it 2 stars simply because it has a Barnes and Noble. But, the good thing about this mall is that you can go to the B & N with out actually having to go in the mall. read more

The Lansing Mall is coming back! I just saw signs today that a brand new Regal Cinemas will be opening, along with Rue 21 (taking over the Lane Bryant space), and a HUGE Shoe Carnival that will be right next to Barnes and Noble! Not to mention, the management was able to bring FAMOUS TACO and another stir fry restaurant in the food court! I can't wait until Famous Taco opens in August and I'm excited for all the new activity that will be going on at the Lansing Mall! read more

I don't live in this area so I'm not sure how I would feel if I had this mall as my go to shopping trip but with that being said this is a pretty decent mall. We entered through Barnes and Noble which was a big well-kept store. I see many reviews saying it is ghetto, maybe it is, but my first time experience is that everyone is friendly, from customer service to the custodian. Usually mall attendants seem a bit sluggish but the security guard was friendly and showed us the location of the bathrooms, the people working were friendly (especially in Hot Topic while we were on the search for the Opie Sons Of Anarchy Pop!), attentive and the custodian was busy and a hard worker! The custodian even made sure some trash on a nearby bench wasn't ours before cleaning it up. I don't have children but the play area seems like a pretty cool and cozy area for the kiddos. There are many aisle attractions such as giant chess, checkers and connect 4! (I whooped Ryan's butt in chess so I'm bias to how much I loved it...haha) It seems like some stores have opened up since many people reviewed because I didn't see very many empty store fronts. I wouldn't mind going back sometime and checking out the theater! read more

Good god this place is ghetto and obnoxious. But. Ever since they opened regal cinemas, it's gotten a hell of a lot better. Regal is very nice but you can't put butter on your own popcorn or refill your own pops. I see they're putting in a Spencer's and they put in rue21 and shoe carnival. I've been going this this mall since I was little. I live about forty minutes north of Lansing. The Lansing mall has always been a easy place to get to. I've seen this place change in the years. A lot of their good stores like American Eagle have been replaced by some weird hippie shop. Also I find many of the stores are dirty or falling apart. The food court doesn't have many great selections. Even though many of the restaurants they have their are great. I really hope this mall doesn't lose anymore good shops. The thing I like about this mall is its not to big or that crowed, and the employees in the stores are very friendly, but no over bearing. The Lansing mall may not be my first choice, but I will continue to shop here, unless it goes under. read more

Lansing Mall has under went a lot of changes but still appears to be struggling over the years. As a kid seeing it, and now as an adult, it appears and seems unprogressive over the decade still it appears unreliable and very unprofessional. I say unreliable because of the fact that a lot of stores are moving in and then within a couples months are moved out. Why is this? I notice many vacancies are starting to over crowd the mall. You only have your main anchor stores such as Macys, and Younkers, with the exception of T.J. Maxx? I didn't know T.J. Maxx could be an anchor store? T.J. Maxx was actually across the street, that is now Big and Tall. J.C. Penny is the only store able to stand around over the years amazingly. The food court is very depressing. If you like Subway, and Sbarro ? Well actually Panera and Chipotle if you want to think outside the box and count over by the entrances? I don't understand why you would eat there when there is other locations of the same establishments down the road a mile if that? The whole purpose of customer satisfaction is to have other establishments that competitors do not...right? What fun and excitement if there is the same exact thing every mile or so down the road? Please be careful when eating food, if you pass by the back corridors of these establishments you can smell the rench of the food....not very appetizing at all. Next, I say unprofessional because the actual Management of the Lansing Mall seems like they have a grudge when asked questions such as "Pardon me, do you know where I can get gift cards at?" They have this negative demeanor to them which is very unfortunate, possibly because the they are well informed that the Lansing Mall of Michigan possibly might be struggling. I try to call them to get better service and it took literally 7 days to find out other things that would be considered on the spot information. Just amazed of how a group of professionals work and actually feel sorry for them. The security at the Lansing Mall is the kicker....When witnessing a person bringing in a weapon in the mall and I have informed them about it, it almost seems as if they didn't care when the Code Of Conduct on the entrance doors (have to look close enough) specifically states no firearms are permitted. With these day and ages I don't feel safe within this mall not to mention a retail fraud that took place and the security of Lansing Mall, appeared feared by the gentle man, to go up and do their job. I just stood back and watched the whole incident which I seen was not handled at all. Why are we paying for merchandise when people can go in the mall and security being informed of it and just watch them walk out, in which they were still on property walking slow. Just amazing, not word can really express how bad I feel for this specific mall and the workers within it. It seems there is not any team players and no professionalism is conducted. If you are a teenager this would be the perfect place to be, but if you have higher expectations of a mall and enjoy yourself, go to a real one with things that are actually going to be worth your wild. Do not disappoint your self and expect it from this mall. It has a lot of work to be established and by no means isn't possible however I can sense there is going to be a need for new Management and Directors within the system, productiveness, and overall well being of the Mall. May god bless the negative souls within this mall, and please help for a better one. I want to see attraction and things offered to the public that you can only have here, as well as the people working here having a better attitude and not being so negative and miserable when it comes to helping and the appreciation and inquires and actual customer needs and wants.
