There is a dental office next door. Check them out before coming here. I made the greatest mistake of having them do some extensive work. Both times it was a disaster. Now, I'm in the process of paying more money to get it fixed. If you have options, I encourage you to look into those options before stepping foot into this establishment. UPDATE: please read their response. I had given this establishment the opportunity to correct their error with an extensive procedure of fixing my front tooth bite. During the procedure he shaved my tooth to fit the bite. However, I now have a gap in my bite and air pockets. I had contacted them a week after the procedure in July 2025. It took a month to get a reply. I then took it upon myself to check with another provider on what I see and his thoughts. The provider stated the work completed was far less than par. In order to fix this, it will cost me $8K out of pocket because Genesis has exhausted my dental benefits and will not reimburse me or fix this issue. This is the second time I had this exact issue with them. I trusted them to not make the same mistakes. I used loyalty and blinded my instincts. I should have listened to my intuition considering Dr.Foltz's has never made me feel comfortable or accepted during my annual checkups. I assumed it was me. However, with the statements below, my instincts were correct. Dr. Foltz doesn't genuinely care about his patients. If he did, he would have at least made an effort. Instead he excused my genuine concerns and told me to never come back. Please note that that my daughters and I have been a patients of Genesis dental for many years. If Dr.Foltz felt that he was inexperienced or uncomfortable with these types of procedures, then the proper steps would be for him to refer to another dentist. I double down on this location, do not come here. They will treat you just the same. Their dental technicians are fresh out of dental school and there are going to be mistakes that they are unwilling to correct. Also, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until after you see the work. Genesis dental advised me to sign a form stating I was satisfied with the work in an email PRIOR to my appointment and another form while waiting in the office. You shouldn't be coerced into these types of perfidious behaviors in an establishment. Hi Maricella, Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We truly want every patient to feel comfortable and confident with their treatment, and we are sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied with your outcome. Dr. Foltz has carefully evaluated your case and confirmed that your treatment was completed to fit the natural anatomy of your mouth and bite. We also took extra steps along the way to ensure your approval and comfort during the process. Based on this, there are no additional adjustments that can be made without compromising the function or long-term health of your smile. We understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and we sincerely wish you the very best moving forward. At this point, we believe it may be in your best interest to continue your dental care with another provider who can offer you a fresh perspective. Warm regards, Genesis Dental of Taylorsville

She required extractions, implants, and ultimately crowns--a process that understandably required multiple appointments over an extended period of time. Throughout her treatment, Dr. Rigby's bedside manner was noticeably lacking. On one occasion, my wife was left sitting in the dental chair for more than an hour after being numbed and prepared for treatment. No apology was offered, nor was there any effort made to communicate the delay or check on her well-being. The office staff also appeared consistently disorganized when handling her case. Because this treatment stemmed from a workplace injury, it was being processed through Workers' Compensation rather than personal insurance. Despite this being clearly established from the beginning, we found ourselves having to remind the staff at nearly every appointment that the claim was work-related and should not be billed to us personally. What is most frustrating is that years later, we were sent to collections over a disputed balance of $294.17 and subsequently served with a lawsuit. Considering the extensive treatment history and the repeated billing confusion created by the office, it was shocking to see such an aggressive approach taken over such a small amount. Dishearteningly, throughout this experience my wife and I often felt unwelcome and disrespected. As a married lesbian couple and members of the LGBTQ+ community, we left multiple interactions feeling that we were not afforded the same courtesy, compassion, and professionalism that every patient deserves. Whether intentional or not, the overall tone and treatment we received created an environment that felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Healthcare settings should be places where all patients feel safe, supported, and valued, regardless of sexual orientation or family structure. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling marginalized rather than cared for

Dr. Lloyd checked all the boxes, so I made my appointment for the very next day, which was so great and fortunate. The receptionist was very friendly. A lovely woman named Holly took my mouth x-rays and cleaned my teeth, and I must say, it was the most thorough cleaning I've ever had in my life! Part of that might be cuz it's been so long since my last cleaning, but still. My mouth feels incredibly fresh and clean now, it's so great. Holly was so sweet, and she did a fantastic job of making me feel comfortable throughout. Then Dr. Lloyd came in to look inmy mouth and evaluate my x-rays. He was so warm and friendly and I felt like I had been a customer for years. I was genuinely and pleasantly shocked to hear that I had no cavities or issues at all. Great news! At my previous dentist, I really felt like they would take advantage of me by going out of their way to find ways to make me come back as much as possible to make as much money as they could off of me. For example, they literally wanted me to remove my non-problematic wisdom teeth one at a time, in 4 different sessions, which is totally unnecessary. In hindsight, that experience turned me off from wanting to rush back to dentistry. In any case, this was the polar opposite experience...no milking of the customer and I have total trust in this office. I'm now looking forward to sticking to an every 6-month cleaning schedule with Dr. Lloyd, as it is no longer something to dread. It's a shame I'm only his second reviewer on Yelp...he deserves many more 5-star reviews like the ones he has on the Cigna provider site. Hope this will influence even one person into give this office a visit. Thank you, Dr. Lloyd and Holly!

I first went to this dental office in 2018, because I slightly chipped my front tooth. I was convinced that I needed crowns for all four of my front teeth and so I got them. Two years later, one of the crowns fall out and I'm back at the office with a new dentist. I wanted to get a new crown and was convinced to get an implant instead. I was told by Brittany my insurance would cover it, so I said yes. They prepped my tooth for an implant and then a few days later I am told my insurance actually does not cover it and I was left with a big bill to pay, even after their "discount" for misleading me. The day my implant was placed Dr. Rowley was very rough and I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I've honestly never had a dentist be so rough with my teeth. Even after all of this, I came back again, this time for a cleaning and a check-up for some gum irritation around the implant. The dental hygienist started the check up by checking my teeth and complaining to the dental assistant about how the front desk overbooked her and how irritated she was with them always doing that. Once she focused on my teeth, she ignored my complaints about the implant area and told me I had early gum disease and I'll need to do a deep cleaning, not just a regular cleaning, and that I would have to come back for cleanings every 4 months. At this point, I had enough and decided to look for a new dental office to get another opinion. I recently went to a new office and it's a world of difference. From the front desk to the entire dental staff, everyone was so warm and welcoming. No one is trying to upsell me or fear me into another serious dental work. I went in without letting them know what this office has told me, because I wanted a clean slate. They checked my gums and told me they all looked great, other than the area around my implant. The gum around my implant is swollen most likely because of the implant being placed too high. After the regular cleaning, I decided to ask if they thought I had gum disease or if I was anywhere close to getting it. They said no my gums looked fine. Also the best part about this place, they don't try to sell me a night guard at every appointment like Mountain View Dental does. Please get second opinions.

My hygienist DIDN'T do a good job. She ONLY cleaned the FRONT surface of my teeth, nor back surface of all my teeth, nor the third side of my molars. SHE ONLY CLEANED ONE SIDE! 2. During the cleaning time. She pointed I need a night guard($300). She didn't wear night guard for one day and that day she sucked and super uncomfortable. If I didn't wear a night guard, my teeth will fall off and need a crown stuff. I never been told that I need a night guard before. Besides, I asked if plastic retainer works stuff because I have one and they seemed to do the same job. She didn't reply. I MEET ANOTHER THE HYGIENIST AND DOCTOR THE FOLLOWING DAY AND THEY TOLD ME I DON'T NEED NIGHT GUARD. 3. I am not the only case. My boyfriend Verdure came with me and his hygienist told he need a deep cleaning of all his teeth: UL, UR, LL, LR ($400) He MEET ANOTHER THE HYGIENIST AND DOCTOR THE FOLLOWING DAY AND WERE TOLD HE DIDN'T NEED that. His upper right reach 4 and it's not that bad. DEEP CLEANING IS FOR THE ONE WHO GOT INFECTION. 4. If I want to continue visit. The price is for every 3-4months visit, not 6 months. ($100 for 2) just want to earn quick money honestly. THIS PLACE REALLY SCARED ME.
