I would not recommend this company based on my personal experience. We hired Frank Cimino Floor Refinishing some time ago but never posted a review or complained at the time because we were concerned about possible, negative response from the two rather unprofessional and sketchy men who were in our home doing the work; they smoked pot outside and were high when they refinished our floors, which came out horrible. Plus it was obvious at least one of them had little to no experience. To be specific, we spent a ton of money building a new beautiful staircase in our home. It had unfinished wood and they ruined it by a post-sanding/buffing, which added unnecessary circular scratches in the finish, making it appear old and as if it needed refinishing. They also completely missed spots and had to come back to touch them up. After that follow up there were STILL spots missing - I had to finish it myself. I was able to do that because they left me a jar of the finish, knowing full well they hadn't done a good enough job. Again, we were way too uncomfortable to complain and didn't have the money to hire another company to redo it so we've unfortunately had to deal with it - and it pains us every time we use the stairs. read more

Don't use them you will regret it! We hired them to do our floors after moving into our new home. They left stains all over and even past the molding onto the walls in every room. I have pics and video of the stains they left behind. Frank said we would have to "touch up" the molding, however that was an understatement. We had the owner Frank over to look at it and he agreed that his sons did a messy job but did nothing to resolve the issue. No discount, no offer to fix ALL the molding on the entire first floor, NOTHING! DON'T USE THEM! read more

This company came into my new house to refinish the floors. I later came home, from work, to find a hole in the wall, a shattered tile, a chipped step and three gashes in the wooden banister of my new home. Upon contacting the owner, I learned that one of the employees lost control of a machine that was inadvertently dropped down the stairs. The machine chipped and loosened the banister, put a hole in the wale, and upon landing, cracked our kitchen tile. While I understand that all humans make mistakes, I steadfastly believe that I should have been contacted and made aware of what had occurred. It's unprofessional that I had to unknowingly walk into a damaged home and contact the company about what had transpired. The company returned to replace the shattered tile and repair the other damage that had occurred. Upon returning to the house, I realized that the banister was still loose. The employee told me, there was nothing he could do to fix the banister and it was impossible that it was ever sturdy. I find this to be especially frustrating since an engineer checked this same banister during our inspection process. Ultimately, they decided to take $100 off of the price we were quoted for this job; yet, I don't feel as though this is an adequate retribution for the aggravation this company has caused. It is evident that the new tiles do not match the original tiles; thus, I have been left with a floor that is two different colors. While the hole in the wall has been patched, I do not have the color to match the paint on the wall. Ultimately, I am going to be forced to live with a white circle on the wall of my new home or hire a painter to paint a room that I did not feel needed to be painted. I have also been left with a banister that I'm warned should not be "relied on". Overall, my experience with this company has been quite negative. It's going to cost me much more than $100 to repair the damage they caused. read more

Received all info and quotes in a timely manner and our questions were answered thoroughly, even on clean up and the type of furniture glides to best protect our now gorgeous floor. This company originally did wood floor refinishing. Now they have become a jack-of-all trades and a master of none. Several years ago I hired Frank Cimino floors to install high-end laminate flooring throughout my downstairs. I was told a cousin, Ricky had extensive experience. What a mistake! I was advised not to install wood because my house was on a slab.They put down a moisture barrier but being on a slab, the boards expand and contract with hot and cold temperature. There are spaces between the boards which I have learned to deal with. This would not be happening if a sub floor would have been installed. Then some of the boards started to lift and separate length wise. When you call all you get is lip service from Victoria, his daughter. I am still waiting for a call back. Do yourself a favor use someone else. They advertise a lifetime guarantee, don't believe anything they tell you. read more
