Better late than never my review is long overdue for L.I.Paneling on Jericho Tpke New Hyde Park…read more Dec. 2017 I was scouting for flooring for my entire house, I went to L.I.P. and Bobby was the person helping me with selections, I told him I would be getting the floors installed in the spring of 2018. This gentleman was so patient showing me various types of floor boards displaying pieces so that I got a good visual of what it will look like and explaining about the different types of material and everything there is to know about flooring. He was not in a rush to sell me anything he cautioned me to take my time before I make a selection because he said once it's installed you have to look at it and live with it everyday. I called him a few times when I had a question he took the time to answer my question or call me back if he could not speak with at the time. Due to other work being done in my home I did not get the floor boards purchased from L.I.P. and installed by Eastern Wood until Nov. 2018. I had three boxes of the hardwood leftover I called him and he said as long as the boxes are unopened I can return them, I returned them and was told I will receive my refund check in about ten days, I received the full refund check in about a week. In previous Reno I shopped at this L.I.P. location and had excellent service with another salesman and experienced the same great service. Good business practice L.I.P. keep it up you will be around always, the BIGBOX stores should take lessons from Bobby and the sales staff at L.I.P. Price and Quality is on par with service. I needed to get the hinges replaced on a noisy inside door of my house (the joys of being a new homeowner), and I got several responses from contractors across Yelp. Andrei's stood out both because it was the lowest price quote, and he had the best reviews of any other respondent. It seemed a little too good to be true, but I figured it was worth taking a chance. I'm glad I did, because Andrei IS too good to be true, and yet he exists. Excellent communication, punctual, thorough and completely self-sufficient, the hinge replacement process started off great. Then, after expertly replacing the hinges, and even sanding a bit at the base of the door where it caused the door to stick when opening and closing, he checked to see how the door opened and closed - the door was now blissfully quiet, but still stuck, and he identified the door latch and plate as needing to be adjusted. Above and beyond! The door works perfectly now, it's literally like a new door. And because the door was to my mother-in-law's bedroom, having Andrei provide this superlative service scored me a few points with her (well, at least for a few hours, until she found something else to grumble about). He also left the space clean, and was very courteous from start to finish. I am so thrilled to have found Andrei, because as a new homeowner, I am discovering fun new surprises in the house that I purchased late last year all the time. We were TOTAL newbies and had no knowledge of what renovations would take or where to start with picking out supplies. He walked us around the showroom, explained differences in tile and cabinet qualities, and was very helpful with this recommendations and big no no's to watch out for.
